And in my experience, if surgery is recommended as part of a care plan, it can be months to secure a surgery date. All said, we are happy with Bellingham ENT. Top quality care.

Our visit with Dr, Hecht was very pleasant he is very good at his job. I can't say the same about…read morehis support staff. The receptionist was rude during the several interactions I had with her. Including having to walk into the office to schedule a visit because the schedulers do not answer the phone or return your calls. I then brought paperwork in for paid family medical leave so I could be present for my six-year-olds surgery and healing. The receptionist informed me that I would have to pay a fee to get the doctor signature on this form. Talk about nickel and dime....I then called the office to ask for clarification on why I needed to pay this fee. The response I got was that I did not need to pay the fee for this form. They do charge a fee for other forms due to the doctor's "time" spent on filling them out. When I went back into the office I was met again with the receptionist saying I needed to pay a fee. No one seems to be on the same page about said fee. I am a single mother and I think it is ridiculous that I have to pay for a simple signature so I can ensure that I will be off work and present for my child's surgery.

When I finally…read morewas able to see one of their ENTs, the doctor came in and spoke to me for maybe five minutes. I was handed another referral and pushed out the door. I didn't feel like my problem was taken seriously or given any consideration. Unfortunately I'm still having chronic issues and was disappointed by the quality of care at Bellingham ENT.

I hate giving poor ratings but if I prevent someone else from wasting their time it is worth it!!!…read moreThe staff are all very friendly and amazing! Dr. Joost Knops, M.D is NOT! I have seen him twice now and walked away without any answers to my issues or a feeling that he gave 2 cents about anything I was going through. Besides telling me the issues were something I had to deal with, I was only allowed to address 1 issue per visit! That is ridiculous!! I was actually told "We addressed your dizziness today but that is it." After which, he promptly walked out of the room and my visit was done! It is horrible enough going through the paperwork, payments, time off work, driving, etc. to get a doctors appoint but to then have the person you are relying on to help you be so rude and dismissive is completely unprofessional and uncalled for!! I am not sure how the other physicians are in the practice, but I don't think I will be taking any more chances or wasting my time with this office. Signed - Frustrated!!

My 15-year old son has been coming to this clinic since he was a baby. Although our overall…read moreexperience has been positive (see my original review from 5 years ago), I need to downgrade the rating. Scheduling (2 stars) For acute symptoms, they are great as they have a same-day clinic and an after-hour clinic. However, when it comes to non-urgent care, we need to wait for a long time to be seen. Recently, we tried to schedule an appointment with his pediatrician, but they were scheduling more than TWO MONTHS out! I ended up calling Kaiser, and he was seen at the Kaiser Everett Medical Center the following week. Also, it's a challenge to schedule an annual checkup. My son was born in March, but his annual checkup is now in May as it keeps being pushed back because of the lack of provider availability. Provider turn around (2 stars) We have liked every provider he has had at this clinic. However, we had to switch to different providers several times because they decide to become a hospitalist and stop seeing patients at the clinic. I understand that doctors move, retire, etc. However, it just happens so frequent at this clinic, and it's not great because we would like to establish a long and solid relationship with a Primary Care Physician. Urgent Care (5 stars) Their triage nurses are ready available to answer medical questions and schedule an appointment when necessary. The after-hour clinic hours are also great. Specialists (5 stars) Because they are part of a hospital system, referral to specialists has been relatively easy (if you can get an appointment with your PCP that is). Verdict (3.5 stars) I will keep my son at this clinic mostly because they are good at providing urgent care (e.g., triage nurses and after-hour clinic) and they are the only "game" in town. ************************************************************ If you found my review helpful, please smash the "useful" button! My recent visit to the University of Washington Medical Center highlighted a striking contrast in quality and professionalism. PeaceHealth has declined overall, hindered by its gradual shift toward vertical integration--a situation that feels shameful. Bellingham urgently needs another hospital. Cordata reflects an overworked staff caught in the familiar pattern of primary care providers who fail to listen and just want your visit to be over because they have too many appointments.
