WOW! HUGE, FRESH SANDWICHES AT A GREAT PRICE!…read more We stopped by this Byrne Dairy after a concert at St. Joseph's Lakeview Amphitheater (Counting Crows!). This Byrne Dairy is just down the hill from the concert venue at a fairgrounds entrance. It was busy with the post-concert crowd, and short-staffed, but nonetheless the late-night workers kept the line moving well. We don't have Byrne Dairy at home, and stopped in with getting some grab-and-go gas station typical eats in mind. But we were pleasantly surprised to see deli ordering options. We ordered a couple of large sandwiches. They ended up not being large sandwiches--but rather HUGE SANDWICHES! The large is essentially two standard size sandwiches PACKED with tons of fresh fillings! And they were not only abundant in size, but also abundantly fresh and delicious! My husband had a roast beef and pastrami sandwich. The meat was sliced thin and PILED HIGH! I had egg salad, which was also generously scooped. Our sandwich artist was FANTASTIC--she took the time to construct the sandwich with our custom topping picks in an entirely purposeful way that helped keep the behemoth-bulk of this mega-meal intact. We brought our sandwiches back to our room, and were thoroughly STUFFED! I could only finish half, saved the other half for breakfast. My husband wolfed his whole monster, exclaiming it was one of the best sandwiches he's ever had. Sometimes the great sandwiches of our lives come from unexpected places--like this Byrne Dairy! If you have a hankering for a superb sandwich at a STELLAR DEAL (just $9.49 per MASSIVE large sandwich!), look no further! :-O :-D

As someone who's fairly new to Central New York, someone has told me about their Wednesday…read morecheeseburger special. Apparently it used to be 99¢, but at $1.50 it's still one of the best deals around. On my way home from work, I decided to stop in to check it out. The employee working was very friendly, and I ended up grabbing two cheeseburgers. They're not the biggest burgers, and they're not going to compete with a dedicated burger restaurant, but for $1.50 each, you really can't beat the value. The burgers were surprisingly flavorful, the cheese was generous, and everything was hot and ready to go. What impressed me most was how quick and convenient it was. The burgers were already prepared and kept hot on the warming shelf, so I was in and out of the store in less than a minute. Perfect for anyone looking for a fast, affordable bite on the go. For the price, convenience, and friendly service, 5 stars. I'll be stopping by again for the Wednesday burger deal!

I mean, I go there 3-4 times a week. This is the first time I've had a problem.. I was getting pizza for my child and my wife. My wife is a vegetarian and my child only eats pepperoni pizza. They refused to put them in separate packaging saying management only will allow them to put two slices per box and no exceptions. Pretty sure they should make accommodations for dietary restrictions and allergies. The manager stood his ground. I had to put everything back that I had gotten off the shelf and leave because I was not buying anything if I couldn't lunch for my wife or children.

Some gas stations let you do that and others do not. I'm absolutely delighted that this is one of the ones that does because it really really saved my bacon. Inside, they have a whole deli that serves hot and cold sandwiches, paninis, pizzas, fried chicken,…read morefries, garlic knots, etc. Initially, I wanted a panini. Unfortunately, somebody did not pull the panini bread out this morning, so it was all still frozen. That said, the next thing I was able to get was the Rueben sandwich which included sliced corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing on your choice of dark or light rye bread. They then put it in the oven to get all warm and gooey. Remember, this is a gas station. This sandwich was SO GOOD. The only qualm I have is that the bread was a little too soft for my taste- I prefer a tougher bread for my Rueben. But that's it. Everything else was perfectly portioned (I asked for less meat and more sauce) and high-quality. My partner got the breakfast Stromboli, which he claims had tasty bread and simple, mild flavors. He would not get it again but was happy he tried it. Inside is clean and the staff is very patient and friendly. We had two different staff members answer our questions in a polite and efficient manor.
