Came in today (November 20th) with my 6-month-old baby who fell from the counter while sitting in…read morehis chair, and the experience was absolutely unacceptable. When we arrived, there were no other patients in the clinic. The staff at the front desk was chatting and definitely not in any rush. The person checking us in even stepped away to ask someone if we could be seen, then came back and continued checking us in with zero urgency -- despite the fact that this was an infant head injury. They seemed far more concerned with taking payment first than anything else. After taking payment, we continued waiting. Not a single person looked at my baby. Not even a quick assessment. Eventually another staff member told us we needed to go to the emergency room because they "can't do imaging here," and they said they would process a refund. That was it -- no exam, no evaluation, nothing. At the ER, they explained that they use a well-validated rule called PECARN to determine if imaging is necessary. In our case, imaging wasn't needed -- but at least they evaluated my child and followed proper medical protocol. Why didn't urgent care do the same? Why didn't anyone even take a look at my baby? Instead, they were busy chatting or processing payment. This level of care (or complete lack of care) is dangerous, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable -- especially when dealing with an infant who experienced a fall. I will never return, and I hope management addresses this immediately.

So I left my primary care doctor's office because I felt like a number. It just wasn't the same…read moreanymore and I heard from a co-worker that they switched to Advent Health Primary Care+. I decided to take the leap of faith and make an appointment. I am glad that I did. I live in Apopka and this office is less than 10 minutes away from me, so its location was important, They have late hours until 8pm on weekdays and are open on the weekend. If you are familiar with the Advent Health system, all of your medical information is accessible through their website or their app you can download on your phone. I love that if I get bloodwork done at one of their locations, it's almost immediately available in their portal. I can access my past appointments and if I have ever gone to a Centra Care or the Advent ER, all of that is available. So far it's been great. Even if I don't always see the same doctor, all of the notes are in the system. Every time I have had an appointment, the doctor or the assistant has been very caring, helpful and informative.

Finally changed from Hunt Club Medical, Dr Toochinda (after MANY yrs!) to the Advent Health primary…read moreCare in Apopka. Hunt club medical had become too busy most of the time; they also took walk ins tho took people w/ appts first. It was hard to get in to see the Dr,although the PA's were excellent. Decided to keep everything w/ Advent Health and was very happy the two times I've been there. Easier to get in & nicer, quieter atmosphere.

I was treated within thirty minutes and then had to get a cscan, a nebulizer treatment and an antibiotic shot. The staff were all so friendly, informative and overall helpful in assessing my sickness. I think this will definitely be my go to place! Thank you to all the staff who made my day even when I was not feeling well!!

Not so urgent…read more.. What Went for a small issue. Decided to schedule an appointment online. The confirmation told me they would try to accommodate my time (boy were they not joking). I decided to go early (an hour). I was able to check in, was placed in a room about 30 mins later. Someone came in to check the pulse and all that. Took 2 swabs and said it would take 20 mins for results. 1hr passed and no one has showed up... the doctor came 1.5 hrs later. It took me 3 hours getting in and out of this place. I would've thought they would try to accommodate the appointment time I made just a little... but I scheduled for 11am, checked-in at 10am, left at 1pm... Environment Very big space they had a lot of rooms available. In a perfect world it would have a just right amount of patience vs staff... and everything would flow well. Niceness of the staff They were quiet rude.. after waiting 1+ hours for the doctor to appear.. I went to check on where I stand but the doctor was like we are busy and you are next I'm coming. Then other staff try their best to avoid eye contact. Dollar Depends on your insurance Yes? I would definitely not return here. I have been at urgent care that take long but never this long!
