Unfortunately, my experience with Marionne Rayner, NP at the clinic on 5/21/26 was not a positive…read moreone at all. Her demeanor was rushed, and frankly annoyed, suggestive of a sentiment that my father-in-law and I were inconveniencing her simply by presenting to the clinic. This attitude is not one that seems appropriate for someone in a role that is serving the community in the way that a CVS minute clinic provider is. As a nurse practitioner in a busy outpatient clinic, (at the largest cancer center in the world) myself, I deeply acknowledge the importance of leading with compassion. I found it disappointing, inappropriate, unprofessional, and frankly deplorable that a fellow advanced practice provider would use such phrases as "well, you see how busy the waiting room is, so I don't know what to tell you," when addressing a patient/family member. Briefly, my challenge was that I had booked (via phone) an appointment for a TB Gold to be drawn on my father in law, who has a diagnosis of severe dementia by the way. When we arrived and were eventually called back, I was informed that he was booked for a TB skin test, which was a shorter appointment. Therefore, I would have to wait for the provider to give me a printed requisition, and take it to Quest to be drawn. This truly was not a major inconvenience. I waited to be called by Marionne Rayner, NP, and from the moment she stepped into the waiting room to call my father in law's name, her demeanor was rushed. When I asked for clarification on whether the TB gold could just be drawn at minuteclinic, I was met with the above abrasive and unprofessional language as an answer. A simple "I'm sorry, but we won't be able to" would have been more than sufficient. Next, she proceeded to the payment screen to let us know how much the copay would be--~$66. I asked whether there was any way to switch the test to a skin test right in that moment in this case. I was again met with rudeness and brashness that was just incredibly uncalled for. I took our requisition and proceeded to the nearest Quest lab, where we had the lab drawn without issue. I have taken the time to write this in hopes that Marionne Rayner, NP may be made aware of how she is being received--although based on other negative reviews, one would imagine that this has already happened. Perhaps retraining on how to manage the stress of a busy clinic, and therapeutic communication are warranted. Or, perhaps a patient-facing role serving the community is not the best fit for her. I would greatly appreciate for time and attention to be given to this matter, and thank CVS for its commitment to bringing accessible healthcare to the community. Best, Jocelyn, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

I was very hesitant to switch my kids to Pearland Pediatrics. My kids had been seeing their…read moreprevious doctors for over 7 years. I finally had enough and made an appointment with Dr. Hummel for my son. We got checked in and saw her in no time. She showed concern for my son and was very thorough in her exam. The previous doctor was very dismissive, so this was new for us. We went over several things and she helped with all of them. Our next appointment was for all three of my kids to have their yearly check-ups and a sports physical for my oldest. This time we saw Dr. Palacios. We started with my youngest and Dr. Palacios could sense right away the anxiety that my daughter was having. She has had terrible experiences at the previous doctor's office. We talked about how to help with that, and she recommended some books about child anxiety for us. My daughter also deals with some major constipation that we've been battling for a while. The doctor had a whole plan for us to do, a gentle plan to tackle the constipation. Dr. Palacios then saw my middle daughter. She raised a concern about how big my daughter's tonsils were. We talked about some sleep apnea issues she was having and how the previous doctor never showed concern. She recommended a pediatric ENT and I am so glad she did. The ENT saw her tonsils and said these need to come out now! Had we not seen Dr. Palacios, my daughter would still have sleep apnea, which can be so dangerous. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Palacios for showing real concern and taking the time to help my kids. My son was next for his sports physical. He had some pain during one of the exercises, so she recommended seeing Dr. Decker who handles more of the sports-related issues. We got in that same week to see him, and that experience was great too. He examined my son and had him do some exercises to strengthen his hip which was hurting. The nurses and the front office staff have also been so great to us. Overall, it has been such a great experience. I wish we had switched doctors sooner.

I've been here a couple of times. This will definitely be the last. The Doctors (Nurse practitioner…read mores) dont seem to ever give any prescription, nor much care to the visit. I've had different experiences, all negative ones. Tonight I took my son for earache, bleeding. He was in a lot of pain, I just did not want to go the night without taking him to be seen. I will say I entered the clinic 10 minutes before closing. Regardless I think they should still take their time and do all that can be done. Receptionist was nice, I'm sure not to happy I walked in, but nice and respectful. The Nurse practitioner and student seen him in the room for less than 8 minutes and sent us on our way home. Most of that time was tugging at his ears at the same time, and poking him with the ear instrument ( mind you he's in pain ) said i will get the discharge papers on the portal and sent us home. No medicine. This was a waste of time and drive. Now here I am with him in a lot more pain and nothing I can do other than give him pain medicine.

I had to book the appointment online while I was on the phone with her to make sure we got in. When we arrived there was no one there and no wait. The receptionist wanted my wife to wait outside. Once we saw a doctor my daughter was misdiagnosed. We brought her in because we thought she had an ear infection. This doctor took one look at her ears and said her ears were a little red on one side but not an infection. She preceded to want to test my daughter for strep, flu, covid and a uti...mind you there were no symptoms for any of these...just a high fever. Strep and flu came back negative and the Covid results we STILL have not received. She also stated a yeast rash under my daughters arm could be a rash caused by strep throat. When we told her we weren't vaccinated for covid the whole appointment turned into her judging us and reprimanding us for not being vaccinated. When 2 nurses came in to give my infant a catheter to test her urine we said no thanks, and did not allow that to happen. We left there without any antibiotics, no medicine, and no diagnosis and did not receive the urgent care we needed for my daughter. We took her to the pediatrician the next day where a nurse practitioner quickly and expertly diagnosed my daughter stating her ears were fully inflamed and it was good we brought her in because they may have ruptured. We also got her a rapid Covid test which came back negative to be on the safe side. I had high hopes for Texas Children's Urgent Care, and they let me down. What a shame to the Texas Children's name, and a detriment to the healthcare industry all together.
