I later told someone they just said that it is not something they have to do just something that they started doing after Covid. I was hoping for a phone call back again after they promised they would tell me what happened. I didn't exactly want someone to get in trouble. It's just that I wanted some sort of communication that that wouldn't happen again. I've waited about three weeks before I posted this. On a good note. I do always like the doctors and the second medical assistant was great. The first one was very nice, but I was just shocked. There was no handwashing no hand sanitizing no nothing and her hands were all in my mouth for swapping. I was honestly too shocked I think and sick to really even say anything at that time.

Dr. Gong actually did an ekg and assured me that I was not having a cardiac event or a stroke and it was my anxiety causing my bp issues. She asked a few questions and told us what it was most likely to be, then checked it out. She was thorough and good with our son. Sure enough, she was right, and with a prescription, this was a quick and easy housecall. She accepted a credit card through Square, but would have also accepted a check. She said she was only here in Bethany Beach during summer months, so we lucked out there. If we lived closer to her office in NW DC, we would consider her for a family doctor. It was so nice to deal with a down to earth doctor who was not rushed and had great people skills. As promised, she sent an invoice about a week later so that I could file for health insurance reimbursement.

They also reliably followed-up with the result of tests done. The registration by phone was also simple enough. The one part that was fine but maybe not 100% was the initial reception. For one, not long before we got there, I called ahead and was told the wait time was at least 40 minutes. I get there 20 minutes later and the waiting room is completely empty, which is a good thing but I don't know why they made it seem like they were busy. I parked right in front at a designated spot and text the number on the sign. I completed the registration by phone. But when I went inside I got a cold reception. I said we were there for my daughter's appointment and then got softly reprimanded for having checked into the wrong Atracare location. Except I followed the instructions right on the sign at the designated parking space, so if that went to another location that's Atracare's doing. It's never ideal when you're walking in with a sick kiddo and getting a cold, scoldy reception. Fortunately things picked up from there. I'm not local to any Atracare but I would go back if I needed medical care in the area. I was really happy with the medical staff, the electronic registration procedures, the wait time, and the cleanliness of the clinical area.

This is delaying a diagnosis as well as treatment for the condition. I've never had such a problem with getting results back from a radiologist. I'm so disappointed that they have become so unreliable in a community with few options for this service.
