That can be good when you are pressed for time. but a holistic approach is also appreciated if you need to get to the root of the problem and not just a bandaid approach. he wanted to get to that, he first asked about any past issues or concerns. he provided helpful tips and advice based on my history (and made lots of notes). He didn't make me feel rushed and was happy to answer questions. There was no guilt tripping or judgement. he was frank and even cost conscious on my behalf (I'd recommend this test but I'd also make sure your insurance covers). Really felt like he was looking out for me. Additionally, he keeps a small crew, just med assistant/front desk, but she was also wonderful and made scheduling my appointment really easy. And she was wonderful at drawing blood. I saw a phlebotomist three or four years ago who stuck me three times in each arm and produced nothing. yes, maybe I was dehydrated but she also seemed annoyed almost. Ummm I got stuck so many times...anyway, I digress. today's experience left nothing to be desired. I am so happy as a patient, and I highly recommend this practice. I want to shout from the rooftops--go here if you need to see a doc asap. Accepts many insurance plans. referrals needed for hmo. does not accept Obamacare or personal checks.

My fiancé and I showed up promptly at 8:30 am on Saturday 7/27. We payed $200 for the service upon entry. We were seen very quickly as we were the only ones there that early. The doctor looked at my ankle and touched it in one area which hurt and she just said, "ok, I'm going to put you on antibiotic". She left the room and that was it! No diagnosis nothing! The nurse came back in with two pieces of paper. My diagnosis was Cellulitis which can be very serious! My mother was hospitalized for it once before. I started the antibiotic immediately and by the following day (today) I had spiked a fever of 102.2 and had many aches. I called for advice as my paperwork says that I should "return for a final examination in 7-10 days or sooner if signs of systemic infection (eg, fever with expanding cellulitis) or abscess recurrence are present". I explained my symptoms and was merely told that I should go to the hospital for bloodwork if I'd like. I've already spent $200 at this point and was given no verbal instructions on how to care for this or signs to watch out for. I called back to ask for answers to my questions since I had spent $200. This was at 3:15 and they told me that they were very busy and would call when they can. My life could be in danger and I think I deserve instructions and answers before I go pay through the roof hospital bills during my insurance lapse before my new job which starts tomorrow! If I was going to have to do that anyway I would have gone there first and saved myself the initial $200 at urgent care! Fast forward to 7/31 the infection got worse! I went to Patient First where the customer service was superb and it's much more affordable paying out of pocket. After blood work and changing my prescription to the correct one the amount was lower than what I paid at Express Care for nothing positive! They had put me on the wrong meds at Express Care and even after experiencing many of the serious side effects they advised me to continue use of the meds they had prescribed. Very unhappy and I want my money back!

There's been a lot of doctors where I make an appointment while I'm in the middle of debilitating pain but they can't see me for a month, then a month later my condition isn't the same upon the time of appointment. The doctors can't recreate my symptoms on the spot in their office and because I didn't end up in the hospital, they determine that my condition is probably just stress/anxiety and they just order more blood work to "just be sure." I've had to redo this process at least 4 times over the last 2-3 years and I'm still experiencing chronic pain. At this urgent care, the doctor literally sat next to me and scrolled through recent blood tests that I had on my phone and reviewed them on the spot rather than asking me to send them to her directly, she was willing to look at the video recording I had of my muscles uncontrollable twitching, she did an ultrasound of my entire upper body on the spot, she had more blood drawn to get a few other tests done on the spot, she gave me an MRI order for multiple areas of my body on the spot without requiring me get referred to a specialist to get them and wait months, and literally addressed all of my concerns within a single visit. This process would have taken me 2-4months with specialists and my previous primary care physician. I do not yet have a diagnosis but having found a doctor who was willing to simply listen to my experiences, run tests, and attempt to address my problems in a timely manner after 2-3 years of chronic pain feels like a blessing. Formal Complaint Regarding Unprofessional Treatment at Urgent Care…read moreTo Whom It May Concern, I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my recent visit to your urgent care facility located at: 20070 Ashbrook Commons Plaza, Unit 104 Ashburn, VA 20147 I visited your facility because I was experiencing several health concerns, with my primary complaint being significant pain. From the beginning of my visit, the receptionist and the nurse treated me professionally and respectfully, and I appreciate their assistance. Unfortunately, my experience with the treating physician was completely unacceptable. When the doctor entered the examination room, she asked what had brought me in. As I began explaining all of my symptoms so she could properly evaluate my condition, she interrupted me before I could finish. She stated in a rude and dismissive tone, "What can I do that you can't eat? I'm here for the pain. Tell me about the pain." I tried to explain that I wanted to provide the full history of my symptoms so she could understand what was happening from the beginning. Instead of allowing me to speak, she continued to display an unprofessional attitude and made additional comments that I found disrespectful and upsetting. Her behavior made me feel dismissed rather than cared for as a patient. The interaction became so unpleasant that I left the examination room without providing any medical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, or plan of care. I left the facility feeling that my medical concerns had not been addressed at all. I waited approximately 30 minutes for this appointment, yet I received no meaningful medical care. Because no treatment or evaluation was provided, I do not believe I should be charged for this visit. I am requesting the following: That this visit be reviewed by your management. That any charges related to this visit be removed. That I receive a written response regarding the outcome of your investigation. That appropriate action be taken to ensure patients are treated respectfully and professionally in the future. I remain concerned because I am still not feeling well. If my condition worsens and it is determined that my concerns were not appropriately evaluated during this visit, I reserve all rights available to me regarding this matter. Heidari, Rezvan, FNP was thorough in her exam and ordered up an in clinic treatment , then ordered meds to treat me. Great service. Only advice was my aftercare note had some more OTCs to take and I wish I had been told those before leaving so I could have picked up at Harris Teeter. Strong recommend though with this FNP.

I haven't always had the best experiences with urgent care, but this place was amazing!…read more I (this was when I was 16) went in with chest pain, and my initial observations were two things: 1) the interior was decorated very nicely and in a very kid-friendly manner, which was great, and 2) the waiting room was completely empty, which I initially took as less of a great thing. After all, if they had no customers, were they really that good? This all changed, however, once I saw the doctor. I quickly realized that because they didn't have as many patients as other urgent care facilities (which makes sense - urgent care for children is a lot more niche than urgent care in general), each patient was able to receive a LOT more time from a doctor. In fact, my experience here was in complete contrast to my experiences at the regular urgent care places. I mentioned earlier how I haven't always had great experiences with those. Specifically, I was once incorrectly diagnosed as "totally fine" after I had actually torn my ACL during a skiing accident. The regular urgent care doctor spent approximately a single minute talking with me (no doubt because they had so many patients), before they took an x-ray (which CAN'T see ligaments) and told me everything was alright. Due to this incorrect assessment, I ended up continuing with sports for 3 months before seeing another doctor, at which point I learned that I actually had a whole bunch of problems in my knee that 3 months of sports after an injury had only made worse. Bringing it back to PM Pediatrics, the amount of time I got with the doctor was truly amazing and a complete contrast. The doctor stayed with me talking for about 15-20 minutes. Now, the thing is, I also happen to be somewhat of a hypochondriac. However, the doctor (Dr. Chung, I believe) was not only able to TELL me that I had heartburn, but also, crucially, CONVINCED me of it too. He spent a great amount of time explaining to me everything that I needed to know - from what I was feeling, to why, to how it wasn't any of the things I was really worried about, to what treatments I needed, and how to take them. I never felt rushed throughout any part of the appointment, with the doctor always happy to answer in detail any questions I had (at the regular urgent care place I almost always felt rushed). All in all, based on my experience, this place is fantastic. A huge part of pediatrics is not only providing an accurate medical diagnosis but also comforting the patient and their parents - and this place does an amazing job at all of those. The waiting room is a very uplifting place, the staff are extremely friendly, and the doctors are willing to take their time to answer and assure the questions of both patients and their parents.

What I appreciated most was how they spoke directly to my daughter and made sure she understood what was happening. After a pretty big scare, they made her feel comfortable, reassured, and included in her own care. They were just genuinely wonderful with her, and that's exactly what you want from someone caring for your child.
