I say that bc I work in medical plan administration, so I know my medical plan up down left & right. But many people don't understand how medical insurance works so a lot of these urgent care centers take advantage of that. I brought him in because he'd been sick for a few days and suddenly he was complaining of a heavy chest and difficulty breathing. He's had pneumonia before so even though it was almost 9 pm I rushed him into urgent care to get looked at. It's always better to be safe than sorry, right? Immediately upon entry I tell the front desk woman (don't know her name but I sure wish I did) that I've got a sick kiddo and we are hoping it's not pneumonia but we're here to get checked. She very quickly tells me they don't have x ray machines. Hmm.. unfortunately I was there earlier in the week with my daughter due to a broken finger and they took x rays on site. I decide not to share this and instead tell her that the last time my son had pneumonia that the doctor was able to diagnose him without an x ray, so could that be done? She tells me it's gonna be 2 hour wait and we should go to the ER. I asked if anyone was even going to check my sons vitals? She's smiling at me like she helped me but all she did was give me attitude. She gave me everything she had to get me to walk back out the door. Wrong mom, wrong kid, wrong time. This was my second urgent care visit in less than a week and I was absolutely floored by the way she was not even interested in getting a nurse to check his vitals, especially for oxygen levels. At this time my son is visibly struggling to take breaths and a nurse comes flying around the corner and checks my sons vitals. While that's happening the front desk woman decides I can check him in. Then while I'm checking him in and he's getting his vitals, she says to me "oh by the way we can do x rays". So.. you're rude and incompetent? We were still seen within the hour and all the nurses and doctors who cared for my son were fantastic and we left with the care we actually needed. Thankfully not pneumonia but like I said, and all moms understand, I'd rather have a peace of mind and my son as comfortable as possible. Since this is a pediatric facility I suggest you find someone else to work the front desk. Someone who isn't going to turn away sick children. I still can't believe I had to basically fight this woman to just get someone to check on my son. Be better for our children.

It's incredibly helpful to all of us to know that you can get ER or Urgent Care assistance in the same place, depending upon the problem being treated and its severity. How wonderful is it to have a Doctor on hand. The service is very quick. They gather all the data and quickly get you settled in a very cute treatment t room. Look at those pictures. The greeting at the front desk upon arrival is friendly and helpful. I really like this place. I'd rather I didn't need to go, but it's great knowing that there is a doctor and competent staff to see to your care.

That was in August. They over charged my mother in law $95. She is on a fixed income and has gotten nothing but the run around from the accounting staff and reception. If we can't treat an 80 year old woman with respect, if we can't listen to them and give them the best care, where are we headed as a society. Shameful. She has called so many times trying to get what is owed. I'm disappointed. I'm disgusted. I'm so angry. Everyone in my family, my circle of friends and my neighborhood will be told of these shameful practices. Do better.

When we walked in, all we smelled was clean! The floors and chairs had just been sanitized and they didn't miss a spot. Ryan at the front desk is just a gem! Talk about going the extra mile...I'm huge on good customer service and she had a big smile on her face, greeted us so warmly, and was quick with getting me registered. I got hit with some bad genetics and have advanced arthritis for my age. I had a C4-C6 cervical fusion 4 years ago and ortho said I would have to be fused from T1-S1 (that's my whole spine basically) and he does not want put me through that so sent me to pain management which I thought would be great but they have dropped the ball on scheduling my spinal injections and I've suffered for months due to bad communication. I've had a pinched nerve in my neck since May and had a trigger point injection from my pain management that lasted all of 3 hours. They said I couldn't get another for 3 months. I call in August and they said they could get me in for October 7th. Which brings me back to AFC. I was in the back in less than 15 minutes from checking in. Dr. Zhang came in and gave the best handshake and let me just say is bedside manner is superb. I explained to him my issue, showed him my x-rays and MRI's, and it took him no time to start a plan. He examined me and saw how hard the knot in my shoulder was as how the inflammation had spread. He immediately said you need a spinal surgeon. Gave me a referral to follow up, placed orders for imaging, and gave me a powerful steroid injection that started working literally immediately. This was not your run of the mill steroid shot. He gave me something that would actually work. It is now the next day and the knot in my shoulder is gone! I slept through the night and haven't been able to do that since May for trying to find a position to put my arm in to take pressure of the nerve. It has been beyond miserable. But I woke up this morning feeling amazing! This is the best I've felt in a really long time and just want to say thank them for such great care! They have even followed up with me today to see how I was feeling. I've worked in healthcare in one capacity or another my entire career. I've been on the IT side of things now for a decade but I remember being in direct patient care and this is the type of experience I wanted my patients to have every visit.

The doctor or nurse practitioner - whatever she is - last name Weaver - came into the room and after I said hello she responded with "you have Covid" in a monotone voice. No warmth, compassion or kindness. She told me she was sending 2 prescriptions to my pharmacy. Didn't tell me what they were or how to use them. Then she told me she would be sending me an email of something - I couldn't understand her mumbling under the mask, but I never received it. Didn't offer remedies to help me feel better. No discharge instructions. Nothing. As if I didn't feel bad enough - physically and emotionally about having Covid, this woman made me feel pretty shitty. I can't recommend this place anymore. I certainly won't be returning. I'm giving them 1 star because the front desk people and the tech that took my vitals and administered my tests were all friendly.
