What a joke, it was anything but a primary care visit. Months later I received an additional bill for $60.50 on top of the $20.00 which was already paid. When I stopped in the office the staff told me to call a number to have the issue resolved. I called the number numerous times with NO return call. To make things worse, the doctor misdiagnosis my illness which forced me to visit another doctor. Really bad experience.....AVOID THIS PLACE...... Sat in the lobby for almost an hour past my appointment time while they helped at least a half dozen people who had walked in after me. At about 10:15 AM, I got an email telling me my appointment was cancelled and that I'd need to reschedule, WHILE I SAT IN THE WAITING ROOM. I am going to skip the details, other than to say I never saw my PA, she was AWOL from the practice, one person telling me she was scheduled off, the other telling me she didn't work there and never had. Dr. was not available - out of the office until October. Office manager was not available - hadn't come to work yet, at 10AM. If there was a way to give negative stars, I'd be doing that right now. Already found a new practice to see, they're finding time to fit me in Monday.

I lost over 30 pounds in a short period of time. Rather than referring me to a GI specialist which I begged for they wasted several appointments pushing on my abdomen and scheduled a sonogram in lieu of a referral. Went to show up for the sonogram at 8 am and the office was closed due to weather. No one called and it was never rescheduled. I ended up lying to the doctor about having tremor so I could finally get a referral to a neurologist. Years later I am now diagnosed with an atypical form of Parkinson's disease. The doctor I had here retired and then millennium physicians said I had to be reestablished with a new doctor. So I went to a new patient appointment. I only use this office to monitor my hypothyroidism and cholesterol since they have made me aware that they are incapable of helping me with any of my Parkinson's symptoms. The new doctor ordered lab work, which I did. Then they had me come to a follow up appointment to go over the results. My thyroid was extremely out of whack. Not a small bit out of range but way out of range. You would think this is when they would make a dose adjustment. I believe the vomiting and nausea daily are being cause by my thyroid being so messed up. Now they have ordered me to get lab work done again in November, exact same test, so they can see how it's "trending" before making a dose adjustment. So I said I'm just supposed to keep being sick daily for 3 months until I go back for more bloodwork and another appointment. A 6 month scheme to bilk more money from me and my insurance. I don't recommend this office.

With a shortage of MDs in Florida, you may have to book an appointment well in advance. In the interim you can schedule with a physician's assistant, likely at a different location. (Lee Health has facilities throughout town.) Dr. Fraga is competent, proactive and thorough. She is easy to work with, and easy to talk to, quick to respond to messages sent on My Chart. Lee is part of the Epic System, with records accessible to Epic providers throughout the country. ( The network facilitates continuity of care and should be mandatory everywhere. Unfortunately, it's not.) I'd also like to give a shout-out to the on-premises lab. It's efficient and well run. Walk-ins welcome, frequently with minimal wait.

So I tried calling my ophthalmologist. The message said to leave a message or call the Dr. directly. I did both and nobody called me back. So I got up early today and tried the office again, even though I doubted they would be there. Next, the primary doctor. They had a service call but I decided to go to Lee Convenient Care instead. By the time i got there the other eye was just as red. Check in was a breeze and the friendly receptionist made me feel more relaxed. I was called in by the nurse literally 20 minutes after arriving. I explained my problem and another young woman did a Covid, Flu etc. swab in a jiffy. The nurse practitioner came in and was so kind and listened to want was bothering me. She wrote two scripts and hopefully that will get me feeling better. Kind, caring and total reassuring was my experience this morning at the convenient care. My prescriptions had completely ran out and I need at least a re-up on my Dexcom monitoring device, which has nothing to do with my blood sugars other than monitoring. The nurse told me I have to be seen with bloodwork done. I told her I am in debt with LabCorp and I couldn't afford bloodwork at this moment. I just need sensors prescription re-up that will give me time to pay off LabCorp and get blood work done so they can assess my insulin needs. I've always understood the protocol and I don't have a problem with it. With even the fact that I am in a hardship situation financially she still would not do the prescription or talk to anybody about it. I have never been retreated so coldly and rudely to have a protocol put above my life. I would've even have taken a sample but no, I guess it's either get your blood work done or die. So I hope anybody reading this understands what they're getting themselves into when they go to this doctor's office. Dr. offices are supposed to help people not make things worse. I've always been a good patient for them and now it seems I am not.

After I left, received a call the following day saying I have an appt. for pre-op tests which I was there and they couldn't/wouldn't do them without payment (that was already paid by the dr.) I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who needs pre-op testing, due to their mistakes my surgery had to be rescheduled!
