The clinic is spotless and comfortable, which immediately puts you at ease. But what truly sets MedRite apart is the staff's empathy and professionalism. Every time I've come in, especially when I've felt my worst, I've been met with genuine care. Samantha is an absolute standout. Her bedside manner is flawless--she's kind, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and incredibly compassionate. In a field as demanding as healthcare, having someone like her makes all the difference. I hope her journey continues to be fulfilling, because patients deserve to experience the kind of care she provides. My sister had a similarly wonderful experience with Alicia, who was just as attentive and kind. It's clear that both of them are in this profession for the right reasons--putting patients first. And although we didn't catch the receptionist's name, she was phenomenal. I had a lot of questions, and her patience and helpfulness were truly next-level. MedRite is a place where you feel seen, heard, and cared for. Huge kudos to the entire team for making healthcare feel human again.

When i tried to talk to the manager after my 5 second appointment i could not believe how condescending and unprofessional he was. I said i was in pain and didn't think i was given the proper care. To my disbelief, the only response he could give me is "that is just how healthcare care is." Still in shock as i have never been spoken to in this manner by a medical professional like this in my whole life, genuinely cannot express how poor of an experience it was. I will say the other girl at the front desk was so nice and kind, the only positive interaction i had there. i feel sorry she has to work with that misogynistic asshole.

have been coming to CityMD for a long time, and overall my experience has almost always been good…read more Yes, there are sometimes long waits, and occasionally small misunderstandings happen, but nothing critical. In general, the doctors I've seen before were professional, kind, and genuinely tried to help. Unfortunately, my visit on December 14, 2025 was very different. I was seen by a female provider whose name I was unable to get -- the front desk did not provide it, and she did not introduce herself. From the beginning, her attitude felt cold and dismissive. I clearly explained my situation and asked if it would be possible to prescribe medication in a slightly larger quantity, as I come to CityMD regularly and currently do not have insurance. I paid out of pocket for this visit. Instead of calmly explaining medical or policy limitations, the provider responded with visible irritation and a negative attitude, which made an already stressful situation worse. She could see that I was anxious and in a rush, yet the interaction felt unnecessarily tense. At the end of the visit, I was told that two medications would be prescribed. However, when I went to the pharmacy, I received only one tablet of one medication, and the antibiotic that was promised was not prescribed at all. This was extremely frustrating and confusing, especially since the clinic was already closing and I could not clarify the issue the same day. What upset me the most was not even the prescription mistake itself, but the lack of professionalism and empathy. In all my previous visits to CityMD, providers were respectful, patient, and supportive. This experience felt like an exception, and unfortunately a very unpleasant one. I truly hope this feedback is taken seriously, because CityMD has always been a place I trusted -- and I would hate to see that trust affected by interactions like this.

Ordered Tamiflu and cough pills but was now too late to take. I said now was too late to take! I asked what strain of Influenza as some are more virulent than others. No one knew, no one cared to follow up. Came back about a week later, still coughing. Did not, again, check my lungs. Did not send me for xrays. Said my oxygen was low, said I should get this thing for measuring oxygen which he did not prescribe, said should go to Hospital. Two ladies at front desk in street clothes were cold and unfriendly, completely unprofessional and un empathetic. Seeing that this doctor, to me was not helpful, I literally walked out! No wonder this place is empty. Hours later, to cover his ass, he sent 4 prescriptions to the pharmacist. At least one was an antibiotic which you do not take for viruses. He did not take a chest xrays, just ordered a crazy number of prescriptions without tests. I called my primary care doctor and the WTC 9-11 Program to follow up. My primary care doctor saw me the very next day, today, took a chest xray. No pneumonia- don't need any prescribed antibiotics. Dumped 3 of the 4 prescriptions that were not needed at all!. My background: whole family is doctors and Sector Chiefs. I am first aid trained for years. As a WTC Victim/ Volunteer, I cannot take antibiotic without good reason or I can develop immunities to them. He gave me doxy, a very strong one-for no reason! My Dr. put me only on prednisone, which he did too. However he did not include how to take the pills. You can't make this up. I WOULD NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN!

Someone else commented on here that they had a horrible Pap test. This was my experience as well. I agreed to it because the nurse kept pushing for it. I had no idea I was agreeing to have 8 people in the room. It was embarrassing to see them all poke their heads between my legs to examine my vagina. Had I known that I was going to be used as a guinea pig for the medical staff, I wouldn't have done it. I was so nervous and sweating so much that I sweat through my sweater. The medical staff were also all laughing at me like it was a joke. I spoke to the nurse and MD repeatedly about having my Vitamin D levels tested because I had presented with severely low Vitamin D levels before and even though they assured me it would be done, it never was. I told them I would like my second free visit in one year and they scheduled me for another visit within the next month, then told me that I am not allowed to schedule the second free visit. All the years of paying taxes to be treated like garbage by a place that is run by taxpayer money is embarrassing, degrading, and demoralizing. I contacted the NY Times and filed a complaint as well.

All employees we got in contact with here (from security guard, receptionist, to nurses, social worker and doctors) were nice and friendly. Moreover, the receptionist gave instructions on how to register and access health records on-line via web-site mychartmyhealth.org. Once a patient registered, the web-site has option to contact doctor via online message - which is very prompt and convenient when a patient needs to ask something about test results or medications. There were some negative things as well: 1) My friend came for regular Primary Care appointment and along the lines mentioned OB GYN issues to Primary Care provider (a student doctor who worked that day at the Practice under supervision of senior doctor). This student doctor was not OB GYN doctor, however he remained present during pelvic OB GYN exam and even participated in OB GYN exam - he put his long, sharp nails inside my friend's vagina in a quick and unexpected motion that my friend almost jump out of the chair. Friend told me later it was the most horrific OB GYN experience she had ever received. Also, during this OB GYN exam there were many people present (2 students doctors - male and female, and 1 senior doctor - male) which made the experience even more awkward. 2) Free Clinic had to call my friend back with appointment information to see 2 different specialists at Bellevue Hospital. One specialist was marked for Urgent appointment. My friend never received appointment with that specialist, even though she called Free Clinic many times. She only received appointment with 1 specialist who was not urgent. This place is OK for regular primary care but not for OB GYN care or specialty care.

Updating review- Jul 2019…read more Sooooo I'm STILL a patient here and STILL very much in love with this office. Dr.Kendall is a gem! Impeccable bedside manner. No matter how busy the office is, she truly takes her time and listens, ask you questions in a non condescending way and explains what the deal is without you feeling rushed out ! She cares and you feel it whenever you are under her care! If you've ever had an adult ear infection, it truly sucks! Also NY city dwellers have just abt the same wax build up as ppl in Cambodia! Omg! You're not an unclean person, its the pollution snd other junk in the city, stop in and let them flush your ears! Dr.Kendall is a goodie! There is one lady that may be a doc OR a nurse practitioner that is not my fav. She lacks empathy and bedside manner but the others practicing in this office make up for her! I also had a very unpleasant experience with one of the beauty/ botox women at the front desk! I wanted to notify someone that I had to use the restroom but there was no tissue, this woman said "you're going to have to wait, I'll take care of it" she continued speaking to her colleague at the front desk for 15 min plus! I felt it was extremely rude in the manner she chose to handle! Also be mindful the wait can be long some days even if you have an appointment and sometimes it can be because they take walk-ins (which is awesome) but can take a while, just practice patience! Still choose Lexington Medical!

I disputed it, and without any explanation, the balance then changed to $155. I have no idea why?! Since then, I've called the clinic multiple times trying to get this resolved. Each time, I've been met with vague responses and no real solution. I've also been given a non-working email addresses to follow up with - and today at 11.45am when I called again, the same staff member gave me yet another email address that also doesn't exist. At this point, the whole situation feels like a scam. It's clear that the staff don't know what they're doing, and no one is taking responsibility. This clinic is extremely unprofessional and has been a frustrating experience.
