I have not received a single phone call, happy to show my phone record for proof. And if it was such an urgent matter, even if they did call, you'd think that they would leave a voicemail. But nope. No calls no voicemails. I tried calling today at 12:30 PM and was sent to a recording that says they are now closed for their lunch hour which is 1 to 230. The voice recording says it, the letter says their lunch hour as 1-2:30. So why am I getting their automatic record recording if it's 1230 when I'm calling?! Regarding my blood work, I first called them once my results were posted and said what happens next? Because the sole purpose I went to this doctor was for them to help me understand what was going on with my blood work. The receptionist said and I quote "if you didn't receive a call from us that means there's nothing for concern with your blood work and I don't see any notes in your profile" so you're gonna tell me that they were just going to never reach out to me for a follow up if my blood work looked fine? That doesn't mean my concerns and my health issues are resolved! So now months later, and I'm getting a letter in the mail saying that they've been trying to reach me. And they haven't! And every time I try to call them and ask WTF this is, I get an automatic recording during their actual office hours, saying that they are closed and you can't even leave a voicemail. I used to see Dr. Castellanos when I was a kid with my mom, roughly between the ages of…read more12-15(2004-2007). Now as an adult I've realized how horrendous of a doctor he was. Our family eventually stopped seeing him after 3 years of being under his care. We went to him because it was hard to find doctors who spoke Spanish in our area at the time. I'll start with the worst. My mom used to be really concerned for her health. Over time we realized her concerns were signs of what she's now developed, diverticulitis and other digestive issues. She often came in with pain and explained her concerns. Dr. Castellanos would tell my mom that she was fine and to take ibuprofen. Any time she came in it was the same thing even though her symptoms progressed - continue to take ibuprofen. Eventually she told my mom she was too worried and was a bother. We finally stopped going to see him when she used the restroom and found blood in her stool. She developed ulcers in her throat and stomach that were very painful when eating. After we stopped going to see him we found out all of her symptoms were the beginning of diverticulitis. In 2009 she ended up going to the ER because she was heavily bleeding when she used the bathroom. A diverticula had burst open and it was discovered she has 3 total that had developed. She was taken to emergency surgery. She's suffered through diverticulitis ever since with multiple ER visits. Dr. Castellanos was negligent as a doctor when presented with symptoms. He could have referred her to a gastroenterologist but never did. We had HMO at the time and eventually switched to PPO but it was after dealing with him. For my own case, I developed gastro issues around 12 and realized I had sensitivity to certain foods that lead to a lot of gas and odd noises in my intestines. I felt shy about it as a kid but was worried because I didn't want to sit in class having those noises come from my intestines because well... it was awkward. My side of the classroom could hear my gas issues and I didn't understand what was causing it. When I told him he blew me off and told me to eat more fiber. I didn't bother more about it or ask because I was too ashamed to ask more. Years later I realized I had food sensitivities and that I need to be careful to avoid dairy. All of this to say - I would absolutely NEVER recommend anyone to see Dr Castallanos. My mom could have sued him for negligence but decided not to. Seeing him still in practice now and talking to family about health made me 20 years later have to go back to write this.

They open at 11, and I'm writing this around 12:15, already being seen, which is huge. My situation today clearly qualified for urgent care instead of an ER, and I really appreciate knowing I can come here and avoid a chaotic hospital visit. What really stands out is how attentive everyone is, from the front desk to the clinical staff. I wish I remembered names because every single person I interacted with today deserves recognition. The front desk staff were welcoming and efficient, and even with an online check-in process, they still made everything feel personal. I was third in line and was quickly brought back for vitals. There was a medical assistant in training, and honestly, watching that interaction made me respect this place even more. You could tell she was nervous and learning, but she was incredibly kind, thorough, and professional. The trainer took their time, corrected gently, and clearly cared about doing things the right way. I've always been seen by nurse practitioners here rather than MDs, and that has never once been an issue. They're knowledgeable, thorough, and actually listen. It's located in a medical building on the first floor to the left, and the exam rooms are spotless.
