She explained everything to my daughter and got it done In no time. We waited less than 3 minutes for the dr to come in. The Dr. was just as good as everyone else. I'm super pleased with our trip there even under sick circumstances. I definitely switched my urgent care and will make this our go to for sure. When I arrived (it's right next to the 77 exit just off Gold Hill Road), there was a computer screen where you could check-in; since I had already made my appointment, it was a quick, two-step process. The man in front of me obviously hadn't made an appointment because he stood there forevvver answering all the check-in questions. Shortly after, the receptionist called me up to get my insurance card. I noticed a sign next to the window that listed all the main procedures they did along with the cost, which was really helpful. I waited in the lobby maybe 10 minutes before I got called back. The nurses couldn't have been nicer, and I was out of there 20 minutes later.

He could barely stand up and was having trouble being coherent due to the fever and aches. The nurses/doctor/office staff were visibly annoyed at him for being unwell... in an urgent care. He tested positive for strep throat, and was written out of work for 3 days. He was equally miserable for the 3 days he was home, but went back to work on Thursday since he was no longer contagious per the doctor at PMC. He left work because he was still extremely sick, and visited another Urgent Care for a second opinion. He was told that the antibiotics given at PMC didn't even affect strep throat, and that he was in extremely bad shape. I've visited this Urgent Care a few times prior to this incident and was never impressed with my experiences either, but this is the icing on the cake. I'm adding an additional star because the wait times seem to be pretty fast, probably because the doctors are not thorough at all, but oh well. I'm never going back to PMC. I will gladly wait a little longer somewhere else for adequate medical care and I suggest you do the same.

I couldn't imagine a less entertaining environment for children than the waiting area, and an hour of doing literally nothing is just too long for small children. I've never seen a doctor within an hour of our appointment time. This strikes me odd, since my kids have never had more than 5 minutes of time with the actual doctor, and I can't imagine it takes much longer than that to dictate notes about the visit after the fact. Again, the doctors are all competent, but I suspect that most of them don't have or even like kids, as they have all the bedside manner of an alarm clock. Pro-tip: They close the examination room door after the nurse does the initial consultation. If you open it, and let your toddlers wander into the halls, and play with the equipment, they seem to get a doctor into the room a little quicker.

In addition, for my part-time job, I work on a computer in a public place so I need bi-focals. Unfortunately, I lost one of the lenses and the frames are damaged. It took 2 weeks to get an appointment. I was there early for my time. I filled out some paperwork and was ready to go when Dr Brook Vastis called me in. We talked about my transition to her practice and my vision needs. Mainly to get an exam to provide to my PCP, replacement bi-focal lenses and frames. The office environment is professional and functional. The Reception process was smooth and easy. While I was waiting I noticed there were two ladies that were talking to patients about their frame selections. They have a lot of premium choices, Maui Jim, Lilly Pulitzer, State Optical, Barton Perreira, Lafont of Paris,Ernia O of Barcelona, Silhouette, Ovo Optics, Modo, Morel and Kate Spade to name a few. I met with a lady named Jessie to talk about selecting frames and lenses and completing my order. She was very professional, friendly and helpful. I was pleased my insurance covered a large percentage of the overall costs. While changing medical providers can sometimes be anxious and stressful, this was not one of them.
