Absolutely terrible customer service. Orders are consistently late, and at one point we had to drive to another location--a 2-hour round trip in rush hour traffic--to pick up our items, even though there were two employees available who could have handled it. No discount, no apology, no effort to make the situation right. Completely unacceptable. If I could give zero stars, I would. I will never use their service again. read more

Yes, they are a great dry cleaner. What I am actually more impressed with is their tailor, Irene. I am not sure if I have spelled her name correctly but... I have brought everything to her from formal, beaded gowns (my daughter's prom dress) to jeans that needed hemming. My son has brought his Navy uniforms in to have patches attached and she even repaired my favorite cashmere sweater. I have to really look to see where the repair is. That is a real talent. Her prices are fair and more than reasonable. She works from two locations: Trumbull on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday Huntington on Tuesday's and Thursday's I am slightly embarrassed to say you could probably tell her "Johanna referred me". read more

Had a very stressful experience here. I brought in A LOT of laundry that needed both dry cleaning and wash and fold. It was probably 70% of all of our clothes due to a problem with our plumbing so we got backed up with getting our laundry done. This was my first experience with sending laundry to a wash and fold place and I figured they would be able to handle it and have a well-working system in place since it's their business model, but I was mistaken. When I picked up my laundry a week after drop-off, the person behind the desk had a lot of trouble locating both the dry cleaning and the wash and fold order. I was charged an amount that didn't agree to the amounts on all the batches of dry cleaning and when I pointed out the discrepancy he realized he left some of my pieces in the back and hadn't given them to me. They also gave me a package of wrapped wash and fold items and had a side bag of still dirty items that "couldn't be processed" as wash and fold. I took it all home and when I opened the packaged wash and fold items and started putting everything away I realized nearly half of all of my wash and fold items were not returned to me. They also had things in the "couldn't be processed" bag that clearly could be washed. I have 4 pairs of the exact same pants in different colors and two were washed and two came back in the unwashed bag. But the real problem was that it was very upsetting to think that my items were lost. So I called first thing in the morning the next day and the man on the phone was arguing with me that I got all my items and they were in the second unwashed bag, but when I started listing specific items and asked him to check again he found the missing clothes. I came to pick them up and the same thing happened again. I had a package that was washed and a second package that "couldn't be processed" that consisted of SOCKS!!!! And one sock out of a few pairs DID get washed. It was a bizarre and stressful experience and the missing clothes and extra trip were extremely aggravating and I will never return and I want to warn people away from trusting this place with any garments that you actually care about. I only clicked one star because clicking zero stars wasn't an option. I dropped my clothes off in Trumbull location on a Saturday and was told they'd be ready in 1 week. I went back a week later and was told my clothes are no longer in Trumbull but they are in Westport location and I should call Avo to see what's going on. I called Alvaro and he said "there is a balance on your account so we are holding your clothes in a different location to ensure we get your payment." When I asked how much the balance is, Alvaro said $40. I asked him why I couldn't pay the balance when I dropped off the clothes or picked them up but he instead said "I just want to ensure I get my money." I offered to pay the balance over the act with my card at that time. He said no, he will only be accepting cash at this time. I told him I needed the clothes for a wedding in less than a week and he said he'd have them for me in the Trumbull location in 3 days. When I asked why I couldn't get them today he just said "this is just the policy." He literally is holding a $300 suit hostage in another location bc I had no idea of an account balance of literally $40.... Fast forward to Wednesday, I go to pick up my clothes...I paid for the total in cash and then I asked for an invoice and the lady was not able to find anything on my account as to why I was paying $40 extra....Alvaro is the definition of a crook and so is this place. Would not recommend. Just go to a cleaners who actually know what they're doing. read more

When I got back my scarf, the lady that handed it to me said there was a mark on it that she couldn't remove. I tried doing it at home with regular detergent and it came right off! If I wasn't pressed for time, I would've stood there and disputed the charge I paid (though did not know at the time that I could get the mark off myself). Good lesson not to take anything for granted - like when you go to the dry cleaners', you can expect to get your clothes clean!!! I admire the chutzpah of the lady though, who tried to be 'honest' and make sure she got her payment, when all that happened probably was that she didn't even see the mark till she was handing it to me, when she made up the 'difficult mark' bit. read more

This is probably my favorite Dry Cleaning Service. Having been both a customer and an employee, I was able to get both an outside and inside look at the character and quality of Minute amen Cleaners. Minute Men is quick, accurate, and always willing to take extra time on those tough stains. Irene, the tailor, is probably one of the best tailors out there: she is willing to give anything a shot and does excellent work. Will never use them again! I'm new to the area and tried Minute men since they were very close to my job, I dropped off a dress for SAME DAY SERVICE as they stated they could provide. They told me I'd receive an email once my dress was ready. No email and when I called I was made aware my dress wouldn't be available same day! Called again the following morning and was told my dress was not at the location I dropped it off and I'd need to go to another location if I needed to pick it up! What a joke! Save your aggravation and use someone else. read more

I visit Minute Men cleaners for their added service -- tailoring. The seamstress, Irene, is wonderful. She works at a bridal shop in Huntington (has for many years) as well as at Minute Men. Her turnaround is so fast -- I brought two bridesmaid dresses to her and had them both back within a week -- and her prices are very reasonable. She is so friendly and knowledgeable. I'll continue to bring my clothes to her for tailoring. read more
