Unfortunately, I wasn't given the go ahead to hire someone until 30 days before the event and the pickings were slim. All the 5 star companies were booked. I was grateful and excited when Jody said her schedule allowed her to do the job. Shortly after that, the issues began. Communication was super spotty leading up to the event--so much so that I was seriously worried no one would show up to meet my client. I don't just mean days of not hearing anything--I mean weeks. Each time Jody would finally get back to me, I had to muddle through a lengthy excuse email. The good news? They did show up. The bad news? The event was on Sep 29. Since then...dead silence. No response to my emails or phone calls. They've been paid in full and we don't have a single picture or video from the event. THERE IS NO EXCUSE. We are all personally and professionally busy and don't have the time to chase down contractors or read through email novels. Just do the job right and deliver things in a timely manner. Period. UPDATE: Threats of contacting the police and spreading the word about our experience worked. Paragraphs of excuses, but finally a connection with my client and HOPEFULLY delivery of the goods. BTW...there is no current business license on file for a company by this name with the City of San Diego.
