Wow. I have BEEN hearing about Mint Dentistry because of their marketing (which is VERY effective) I have to admit, I was impulsed. So I decided to check out the dental plan they offered (since I don't have insurance) and upon entering I was greeted with a huge smile and such sweet and helpful service. Shawnie was the assistant who took me to the back and instantly made me feel comfortable. Jenae was also very educational in describing future treatments and payments and i especially did NOT feel pressured to do something I was not ready to do. Typically, I dislike dentist visits but I KNOW I made the right choice because of the consideration and helpfulness by the staff. I love this location and I will for sure come back. read more

Once the Dental Professional arrived she did my exam and then begin to speak in company jargon at a thousand miles a minute. When I simply said let's step back because you are going to fast she stated she didn't like MY TONE and got up and walked away! I just like other people went for their marketing of the free whitening cleaning and they don't express to you that you only get the free whitening if you do all the services they recommend which are over price other dentist have given me way lower prices on the same procedures and some procedures weren't even recommended at other dental offices. Very upset and disappointed. Money lost totals over $6000.00. Where do I start? I went in for a filling and was told I needed several route canals. All of them seemed to be under my teeth close to gums. No problem. I spend a lot on self care. I got veneers done on entire top row and waited to do ground work so the bottom would be right. I have gotten 7 crowns on the bottom. Why ?? I couldn't really tell you! I feel now like people are very money hungry and don't care anymore. In 2021-2022 I have been to 2 mint offices over 15 times and still no real solutions. They drilled down 7 of my teeth to nothing and placed crowns. My last visit I just broke down and cried. I am 39 and feel like I need dentures at this point. I went in February this year and had to get 3 route canals done . Then went back in May and got them redone by Dr. E . She drilled 3 of my teeth down to nothing , had my mouth open for 6 hours then after placing temps said she would have recommended I do a merged tooth method instead of individual crowns. 7 days later my mouth was still bleeding and hurting. I went back they said I needed GUM GRAFTING because Dr E( who was no longer there) damaged my gums and the crowns would not fit because my gums were too low now!!!They sent me to the heights to a specialist who then redid more work behind Dr E and placed temps back on. NO ONE called me in 3 months to say my permanent crowns were in. I called 2 times and was finally allowed to schedule! Then guess what. They said my temps were in too long and now there was more damage closer to my bone and I would have to go pay more money to get it fixed. They gave me the number to another specialist and said they would refund me! Lololol. It's now December I have called the corporate office 5 times and NOTHING! You want to know what else???? I was eating white cheddar popcorn and my whole tooth severed off. I almost died! I will for sure need about 7-8 implants now because of MINT dentistry in Sugarland and the Heights. I feel betrayed , sad, and hurt because I trusted the business and felt like they knew more than me. Below are my many appointments the gum damage and my lovely missing tooth that's in my purse now. Absolute worst and most painful cleaning I have ever had. I was going to Mint in the Heights, but moved to Richmond and switched to the Sugarland location. I have had wonderful cleanings at the Heights location and I was expecting the same here. She, the dentist, did my cleaning and was rough and inconsiderate. She hurt me the way she used the mirror tool to hold my lips, etc. out of the way. She left the suction thing in my mouth constantly, even when she was changing tools and doing nothing in my mouth. This has to be the slowest location I've ever been to. Everything from the wait when you check in to getting your teeth examined and cleaned. I had a 1:30pm appointment for a six month cleaning and it has been over an hour(I'm typing this as I sit in the chair waiting for my teeth to be cleaned 2:50pm). I got work done 09/2022 they claimed to have worked on 5 cavities and 1 crown, the crown fell off 03/03 while eating gummy bears. I called and set up a appointment for 03/06 when I went in first the assistant was asking me to put my own crown back in so he can take X rays after he didn't have any equipment in the room was hopping from room to room collecting equipment. When the dr came in she was asking the assistant which tooth is it where the crown came out of and he could not tell her then she was asking me which one it was which I replied you are the dentist that worked on it you should know what tooth it was. After all this they tried to charge me an additional $250 to refill a tooth they claimed they did not work on but where it was done should do it for free. When they are the only ones that have done any work in that area the last year. I went to another dentist who I've been going to since I didn't like mint dentistry service and he without being asked knew what tooth it was when I showed him the photo print out of where mint dentistry worked on he pointed to the tooth they worked on and said yes that's the tooth I fillled in the one they did work on. read more

Everyone at this location was extremely friendly and attentive, from the receptionists to the dentists. Everything was explained in great detail to me in such great detail that I had no other questions that I needed to ask. The service did not take long at all either, it took about 30 minutes total. Went in for a cleaning as a 1st time patient. I was very impressed with how courteous the 2 receptionist were! Offering water as I waited and making sure that I was o.k. However, after waiting over an hour to be called for my x-rays and then having to wait in the chair an additional 30 minutes and took a NAP before I decided to leave. Upon me leaving I did saw a female dentist and told her that I was exhausted from waiting and in fact was leaving. She stated to me, "We all are tired ma'am. You can always reschedule." Really? No apologies for having me sit when I had an appointment? Or even having sympathy for me wasting my day? I would love for the corporate office to know (and will be sure to let them know) how insensitive this dentist was! Will NOT recommend this location to anyone! read more

This place is God awful. Every time I come here I end up waiting 2-3 hours. No point to even have an appointment when they aren't going to get you back in a decent time. My appointment was for 2:45, I didn't get into the chair until 4 and ended up being done at 6 because once I was in the chair, I waited almost an additional hour for them to start my cleaning. Very nice office, great oral hygienist the dentist had an ok bedside manner her assistant was nice. However the schedulers and patient coordinators or admin need alot more coaching and training. I made my app for a cleaning they saw i had ppo insurance and did a whole treatment plan for me which i moved forward with. Once they did the work they they didnt have time for my impressions for whitening trays. I made an app to come back no problem.. i get to my app and after they said they'd call me to get my trays when they were ready . A while passed and still no word so i called back and they said they threw them away and had to come back again , which would mean 3 trips to the office. This very well could have been a mistake but rather than making communication they waited weeks till i called back. I felt they were quick to take my insurance but did not complete my treatment plan since they had already billed me out. The star rating is based on lack of communication with the patient . I am sure like most office people are cross trained this was not just front office but rather the team did not communicate amongst themselves. Ok I waited three weeks called them back and asked them have they heard anything I was told they haven't submitted it ...... What? Then they ask me do they want us to go ahead and submit it (yes 3 weeks later) I told them please do... Now nearly two months from that conversation I called them to get a status update and that when they told me what they insurance company said ... I ask why haven't anyone called me earlier... I went to the sugar land office and was told I needed two fillings and a new crown. I had the fillings done and while in the process the assistant dropped the acid on my check. When they were done I asked for the office manager and told her my face is burning, I felt something g drop on my face during the procedure. She then asked if I arrived with those two raw red patches on my face. Are you kidding me! I said I have been seen by three separate staff including g the dentist and it wasn't there. They didn't see anything. It took almost a month going back and forth with management and the district office to get some type of reimbursement. Then I had them put on the crown. I was constantly in pain, swelling and notable to eat. I was in and out asking them to check my tooth. They X-ray, exam said nothing looked wrong. Needless to say I ended up in the hospital from an infection. Yes it was that bad I went to a different dental office and the dentist sent me straight to the ER. That's how bad the swelling got, it shut my eye and I while in the hospital I had to have emergency surgery on the tooth. Never go to this office they will not help you. My teenagers begged me to take them to this place instead of our private dentist and although I knew it wouldn't be how they expected; I went ahead and took them! The atmosphere was very nice, the staff was very friendly. They had nice worship music playing, which was a plus for me. I'd rather that than rap or music that I know nothing about. Anyway...the teens went back for their exams and were told they both had cavities! I would not have had an issue had they said one or two, but they said Teen 1 had 7 cavities and Teen 2 had 9!!! These are the same teens that go to the dentist every 6 months (sometimes more often) and have never had any. At this time I felt bad for not going to the back with them and trusting that this place would do as they promised on the commercials that everyone rants and raves about. I went ahead and paid for Teen 2 to have two of them "filled". After two or three days, Teen 2 still complained about pain from the "filling", her bite was off and she was still pretty swollen. Fast forward one month later, I made an appointment for them both to see our private dentist for an exam and what did he find? NO CAVITIES!! I asked him at least 3 times if he was sure, because sure enough the "commercial dentistry" told us they had multiple! He assured me by showing me their x-rays and I saw NOT 1!! I was furious, but that was a lesson learned! I will NEVER recommend that anyone visit this place or any other like it. I mean we have pretty good dental coverage, so I'm not sure if that's the reason why they attempted to rip us off or if that's just their MO! read more
