So, I started to search from my insurance website. Everything checked out okay. There was a long wait to be seen for the first time. After my account is established, everything is fast. I can't say I enjoy my teeth getting pulled out. But it wasn't as painful as it sounded. Dr Yang took good care of me. The medical assistants were efficient and the front office was friendly. Whole process only took 15 minutes. Because I enjoyed being here, I started inquiring if the service extends to beyond tooth extraction. Ha! No. I have to go back to my regular dentist to get a bridge built. My decaying tooth started with dentist refused to give space to avoid food get stuck between teeth. That got me thinking if I should change dentist because of their alternative motives. Don't worry. I'll be back. He found a possible candidate that might need to be removed. P.S. Dr. Jordan does not rush the appointment time, is detailed in explanations, and asks if you have any questions. I haven't met very many physicians who are as personable as Dr. Jordan. He even personally calls to check on you. He cares, and it is evident. I had oral surgery under anesthesia this morning, and I'm writing this review eight hours later. Excellent surgeon. He came highly recommended by another physician for his technique, and his care has exceeded my expectations. I have zero pain since he sent me home with specific pain instructions, no swelling, and I did not expect to start recovering so quickly. I have to note I follow instructions to the last detail (eat what and when they told me, take my medicine, no using straws etc). Dr. Jordan was also very nice to my mother who drove me to the procedure. His office faces a hospital, his office staff are very friendly and keep contact with you about payment before the procedure so nothing is a surprise, and he has an anesthesiologist with him. If you're looking for an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who is safe, has welcoming and expert staff, and cares about your outcome then I highly recommend you consider Dr. Jordan. Mitzy K.

I want to take time to write a review for Telfair Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. I was very…read morepleased with their service. I've been to their office 6 or 7 times between August 2022 and July 2023. When you have to get an extraction and implant like I did, it requires several visits, plus a lot of time in between for the gums and bones to heal in between before they can proceed with the next phase. It all started when I accidentally cracked the bottom part of my tooth down to the root in 2022 when I bit into a piece of bone (warning to you spare ribs lovers out there) while I was on vacation. It was excruciating pain to say the least and I couldn't wait to get back to Houston to see my dentist. My dentist told me it appears that my tooth is cracked and referred me to a root canal specialist to see if performing a root canal can save my tooth. The root canal specialist took x-rays and 3D photos and said it wasn't salvageable and I had to get the tooth extracted. Strangely, the dental office that I used to go to, couldn't or didn't want to perform the extraction so they referred me to a couple of oral surgeons. I called their offices to schedule an appointment but one doctor was out of town and wouldn't be back for another couple months. I did not want to wait that long as I was still in pain. I called the other referral and nobody answered the phone. I decided to look for an oral surgeon myself and stumbled upon Telfair Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. They decided to see me even though I did not have a referral. Some places won't even see you if you do not have a referral. Dr. Kyoko Yamaji and her staff took care of me. Dr. Yamaji performed the extraction and bone graft. She gave me the option of staying awake for the surgery or be put to sleep. I chose to be awake. After local anesthesia, the procedure was painless and I experienced minimal discomfort after surgery when the anesthesia wore off. I was prescribed ibuprofen for the pain and an oral antibiotic. I went back to see Dr. Yamaji a couple more times for follow-up checkups to make sure everything is healing properly. In 2023 I went back to get the implant, which again I chose to stay awake for the procedure. The procedure was painless after local anesthesia and I was once again given ibuprofen and antibiotic for post surgery. After another 2 months I went back to see Dr. Yamaji one more time to follow up. She took an x-ray and examined the implant and gave me the thumbs up to proceed with getting a fitted crown over the implant from my dentist. Throughout this long process, the office staff members were professional and courteous. I'd like to give props to Christina who is always friendly and upbeat. I've never seen her without a smile on her face. If I have a medical clinic, I would hire someone like Christina because she makes the patients feel welcome and appreciated. Dr. Yamaji has been nothing short of professional and friendly as well. Honestly, this place far exceeded my expectation. If you're looking for an oral surgeon, you can trust Telfair Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. They accept most major insurance plans so make sure to ask first.

They will take the money NO PROBLEM, but when something happens during a procedure they don't say anything, they don't listen to the patient telling them they feel the pain, they just tell them to stay still and keep going. Look for another place and if you decide to go here, please make sure not to let your family members go in without supervision, that way you can be there for them and stop "this professionals" from hurting your loved ones.

That is Dr. Greg Damron. He run a small, humble practice and he cares! He tells you the truth about what is going on in your mouth and does his best to remedy it in the least expensive way possible. I will travel all over the nation just to come to this incredible Dr.

I remember years ago Dr. Damron told me: " Well Michelle, my professor in dental school told us ,…read morethe C students are going to make the most amount of money and the A student are going to make the least amount of money." And that is exactly what happened. What that professor meant is that the C students are going to compensate for their lack of knowledge by getting the flashy large offices with the expensive equipment and the large staff. While the A student are confident in themselves and don't need to get the office with the bling and the latest equipment, ( you don't need all that to be a good dentist). Dr. Damron's office is in a quiet part of sugar land with trees around it, the office is small and simple and there is nothing fancy there. The staff are all kind hearted, sweet, friendly people that have been there for years. They make you feel comfortable as soon as you come in. This might be an irony but you look forward to going to the dentist office. Finding an honest dentist is extremely difficult, they can tell you that all kinds of things are wrong with your teeth and they can quote you any price they want . It's like a mechanic telling someone who does not know about cars, what is wrong with their cars. If you are one of dr. Damron 's patient, you are always special. If you think there might be something wrong with your tooth , he will make time for you, stay late if he has to, he always comes through for you. On top of that his prices are very affordable. It's not about money with him, you can tell he loves his job. He always draws pictures for you when he is explaining what is going on with your teeth. Anyone could afford dr. Damron. The day I found dr. Damron and his staff, is like a day that I found gold.

I went to someone who was highly recommended and ended up getting thousands of dollars worth of treatments that I clearly didn't need. One visit involved over-drilling a tooth, then filling it -- leading to a cracked tooth -- my first crown ever. I moved on... I said nothing to Dr. Markoff and asked what he thought of my teeth and...he said the same thing my first dentist said. "You've got great teeth. I don't expect I'll be seeing you for more than cleanings." That combined with his gentleness and professionalism sealed the deal. I have found my new dentist. He provided a script for pain control which I didn't need to fill. His staff was helpful and kind. Total time for the actual procedure was maybe 10 minutes, including local anesthesia. I didn't feel a single thing and I left a very happy camper, no complications afterwards either. This guy is a total pro and has been doing this a long time. You won't be disappointed!
