My experience at Mint Las Colinas was phenomenal. I wasn't going to forget about my appointment because they will make sure they remind you via email and text.(Which is great for someone like me who is juggling so much)! When we(my daughter and I) arrived everyone was soooo friendly. They gave me an iPad with beats headphones that my daughter took from me. I was fine with that because it kept her quiet! Lol. The office is lovely. The decor is beautiful. I like that the entire staff is nice and knowledgeable. My cleaning was very thorough. I wanted to write this review 6 months ago after my first appointment but I wanted to wait till the second appointment just to make sure I didn't make an error in judgement. First of all, I didn't see a single male employee here. All were women, even the doctors. Many women talk about inequality at work place but seem to be oblivious of when they do that same thing. Don't give me this cliche bullshit that in medical profession most of the care givers are women. I have seen enough hospitals and clinics where that's not the case. I noticed other subtle to not so subtle behavior traits and other attributes of this place which made me feel unwelcomed. Here are some examples: 1. Dr Vanessa was so quick to analyze and check my teeth that she was in and out in literally less that 90 seconds. As if I was just a means to an end. I also noticed some subtle behavioral traits in her such as sense of superiority, facial expression showing dislike etc. I noticed the same during my visit 6 months earlier. She didn't seem to be this impatient and hasty with other patients as they have open operatories. Not sure if she doesn't like non-white men or men in general. 2. When the cleaning was done they gave me a bag with a tooth brush, floss and toothpaste. At the reception , when I was checking out, I saw another patient who had the same bag with lot more stuff in it. 3. At the reception there a collage of 12 pictures out of which 8 of them are women. Some people may argue that it means nothing but it does because this shows how women oriented they are. I had just relocated to Texas, so this was my first visit. I had my X-rays taken, and after that, I saw the dentist, who was really kind and considerate of my teeth. Well it's a large corporation running dental offices... When I arrived they informed me that I would be charged $200 for a cleaning (and X-rays) instead of the $60 they told me on the phone. Since apparently they "had" to do extra checks since it was my first time. All in all the actual cleaning was fine. But they grossly misled me on the cost. This was my first visit and 2 hrs is horrible timing for a consultation for braces. Secondly, I find out this location only does Invisalign. I book the appt and stated what it was for. I get there and they had me down for a cleaning, xray and consultation, which I received a text while there for another appt. I have my own dentist and not due for a cleaning until March. The lady didn't tell me when I will get my whitening kit. I had to ask the front desk clerk. The doctor act like she was in a hurry to wrap it up once I told her I didn't want to do Invisalign. Aside from the nice Decor and free whitening they charge my insurance for this place customer service needs to be better. Do not ask me questions I filled out in the new patient paperwork online. I reserved writing a review for this office because I usually only write good reviews and shy away from writing negative reviews. But after visiting a different dental office and receiving amazing service and care from them, I was compelled to write a review in hopes that Dr. Harrison will not have a hired person respond by saying you're sorry and to contact your office. But, he will truly ensure the reviews he's reading are sincere and true. It is good to ask for a review, but to demand a 5 is not truthful and you can't effect change without your patients true experience. I visited Mint Dentistry because of the advertisement on the radio. Dr. Harrison convinced me that I would receive an experience and service next to no other office. I had 3 different appointments and was disappointed with all 3. I was also disappointed in my initial call to set up an appointment for the uptown office, so I decided to switch to a different office to find out I would continue to be disappointed. My second visit was so bad, I was told I didn't have to pay my bill for that day. I will not go into details about my bad experiences because I've read some of the negative reviews and it was my same experience. But I will say, for the amount of money being paid there should be better knowledge within that office or at least take the time to answer your patients questions. I will be calling in to make a formal complaint about everything I experienced. Additionally, I got my dental work completed at a different dentist office. And although they asked me to write a review, they didn't demand a 5 for additional whitener. They allowed me to write about my experience. And it was the best dentist experience in my 52 years of life, so I gave them a 5 because I received a 5 experience. If I could give Mint Dentistry less than a 1 rating, I would. So i want to say I absolutely love this location of Mint Dentistry! I was so hurt when I had chipped my tooth. I had a freak accident of fainting walking to the bathroom & my tooth was knocked half way out. My teeth means everything to me I had braces for 3 years and finally loved my smile then boom this horrid accident happened. I was absolutely distraught. My mom has been going to Mint Dentistry for years and specifically the Las Colinas location. She called & got helped by Gabby(don't know if that's her real name or nickname) they got me in immediately that day. I was helped by this sweetheart named Simone or Cymonee not sure how to spell it but she was so so nice very sweet & made me feel welcomed. She took her time and communicated with me the entire way. I got a temporary tooth that day. They told me I would have to go to a lab to get fitted for my actual tooth. I informed them that I work every other day that week instead of the following day. The manager made a call and was able to set me for an appointment the next day at the lab to get fitted for my new tooth. They called me back about 3 weeks to get my tooth cemented it. Thankfully I was greeted by the sweet Simone again. She was very gentle and they had me in and out. Below are pictures of my chipped tooth, my drilled tooth, and my new tooth! I love them! Everyone was so sweet and efficient. It's very nice and clean. Everyone looks good and have positive attitudes! I give you all 5 stars for both times I went. I wish I had three hands to give you all 3 thumbs up. Thank you all for making me beautiful again and thank you so much Simone for the great and positive attitude. This review is for the Mint Dentistry of MacArthur blvd. I believe myself to be a pretty fair person. I'm not here to bash mint, but to voice my concerns. I began going to mint two years ago. Since then I've been there approximately six times, all of which I waited over an hour for my appointment. Twice I waited over 2 hours. Another time they called me an hour before my appointment to get me to reschedule because they overbooked. I voice my concern via social media and a member of the mint team reached out to me. They asked what they could do to make things better. The insinuated giving me a goodie bag and teeth whitening. I told them I just want them to stop overbooking their clients. Fast forward to this week: I called to confirm my appointment for this Tuesday, and I found out they canceled my appointment. They never notified me about this. Then they asked if I could reschedule for Thursday and they would make me a "VIP" which they said I'd get extra whitening and would be first to see the dentist. I still waited over an hour to see anyone. While I was there I overheard the receptionist (who is actually very friendly) call another client and tell them they would have to reschedule his appointment. The costumer service at mint is subpar (besides the receptionists). Furthermore, I believe their inability to effectively schedule clients says a lot about their business and what it values. They have a great marketing team, but they basically bribe people with teeth whitening gel for good reviews. As I said earlier, this review isn't to bash mint. My goal was to provide my experience. My family owns a business; therefore, I knows few things about costumer service. This is something Mint has not had. Do not go to Mint Dentistry. Went today for my six month cleaning only to get there and be told they would do new x-rays and exam? Apparently this is standard for them. There's no reason to have x-rays (toxic) every 6 months or an exam. I felt like they were about money the first time I came and this solidified that. Just do a normal teeth cleaning! The best part is, after over 20 x-rays and an exam they came in to go over pricing and told me they are out of network with Delta Dental as of February Why am I even here!? No I don't want to pay $351 for a teeth cleaning and I should have been told prior that they no longer accepted my insurance at this location. I asked several times at check in if I would have to pay anything for this visit and was told no. Bad operations on their part and definitely have the impression that they are looking for a payout any way possible. They offered to send me to another location that still takes Delta, but decided I need to run away fast as possible. This is from my first visit - The staff was nice and very thorough. Will probably come back. Giving 4 stars because they referred me to their oral surgery group for wisdom teeth removal. Who reached out and told me it would cost $190 just for a consultation?! Walking into the office the girl at the desk didn't say hi or acknowledge til I said something. No energy. She did offer ipad/headphones for the visit. The office area appear high end and is very clean. They have complimentary water, gummies and sunglasses at th front as well. Good easy listening music! I was suprised when HER came on. The front desk girl did say goodbye to a few people leaving so I'll let it slide but she needs more energy especially knowing I'm a new patient I didn't get a welcome or why did you choose us nothing! Gender neutral restroom in front. Tiffany and simone were my dental hygienists they were great. Appt ended up taking 2 hours because of xrays fillings and deep clean. The dentist was very knowledgeable when I asked her questions. Treatment plan coordinator offered the smile more club $5 club and payment plan are two separate things so confusing I didn't know until I saw my receipt. Not impressed. Decided to try this place after hearing about the free whitening tray on the radio. The staff were all very nice, but I left feeling like my teeth weren't actually "cleaned". After the cleaning was over, I was told I had to come back to pick up my whitening tray because everyone was on lunch break. I found that a little irritating and inconvenient but let it go. A week or so later, I called the office to tell them I would be picking up the whitening tray that day, and after being left on hold for 10 minutes, I was told they could no longer find it...?! There are some basic things I expect from any business: When I call to make an appointment, and then call again to confirm it the day prior, I expect that you will keep my appointment. When I show up at 10:40am for a 11:00am appointment, and get told that the earliest I will get seen is 11:45, that is a massive disrespect for me and my time. When I call to confirm all my details, such as patient info, etc., and you confirm verbally that you have everything you need, I expect that is the case. What I do not expect is that I get told when I show up that there is a bunch of information missing/you were not able to confirm details on insurance, etc., and I will have to wait to have things confirmed. These are things you could have resolved over the phone when I called to re-confirm my appointment (which was not going to be met anyhows). I cannot comment on the quality of the dentistry work performed here, because the services around it are simply not up to snuff. A cheery attitude does not excuse a shoddily run business. read more

They'll assume you won't question their "expert recommendations" but if you don't you'll find yourself paying for services you didn't need. I had been putting off going to the dentist for longer than I'd like to admit. My anxiety was at an all time high when I checked in for my appointment this morning. However, all the women I encountered at MINT made me feel at ease. I had convinced myself the coat of this visit would be astronomical to make up for years of missed maintenance, but the cost was reasonable for the services I needed. They even offered me a payment plan if I needed it. Long story short, in addition to the headphones and iPods, this place really does put the patient first. The receptionist provided me with a headset and iPad while I was waiting but I only waited for 5 mins before being called back. The dentist was friendly and accommodating. Mint Dentistry Las Colinas has gotten progressively worse since I've been going here. It's been 4 years by the way. The wait times are ridiculous! I should not have to wait 30-45 minutes for a scheduled appointment. The last time I was there they didn't record my appointment although I'd spoken to someone via phone who confirmed it. I was told that I needed a crown. I asked how that could be possible if I was having no pain. They showed me my x-ray and said "See this dark spot? This tells us you need a crown." I said that I saw 2 other dark spots so why is one needing a crown if the other 2 teeth do not? "That's what you need us for."... was the response I got. ( I think they were pointing to 3 fillings that I already have.) A friend was told she had to have 4 teeth pulled. She did not believe them so she went to another dentist who said that there was nothing wrong with any of her teeth...that all she needed was cleaning. Another friend was told ( while she was in the office) that her insurance would cover all services she needed. Then she got a bill in the mail for $40. The whitening trays are not worth much either, in my opinion. Go somewhere else and save the pain, time and money. read more

UPDATE: As of 5/2/2018 Mint now owes me $20 because when I requested a new card, I received the new card but it had the same account number...so Mint managed to get more out of me. I spoke with someone from billing on 2/9/2017, and some how she managed to stop the auto deduction from my checking account. Something that I have been calling to get them to do for half a year with no success. She said I would receive a refund in my bank account in 4-6 weeks. I waited 7 weeks, and there was no refund. Called again to the Irving location and spoke with the manager on 4/2, and told her I want them to cut me a check instead. She took my address and said she would contact corporate to mail my refund to me. That was a month ago. What goes through my mind is how many people they have done this too, and how many gave up fighting because it was not worth it, or it was too much trouble. Sure the refund is small, but multiply by thousands of customers that this may be happening to, Mint is practically stealing money from the public. I am going to call them one more time, and see if they will set things right. If not, I will need to file a complaint against Mint Dentistry through the BBB or the Federal Trade Commission. In my previous updated review, I said I was over it, and they can take my money. I'M NOT OVER IT, and they will NOT take my money. People need to know what a horrible company Mint Dentistry is, and that their business practices is UNETHICAL. They may be all nice and shiny on the surface, but BEWARE giving them your business. If I can give negative stars I would. MINT is all great when things go smoothly, but when an issue arises, BEWARE. More than likely it won't get resolved, and you're the one holding the short end of the stick. You may have read my LONG rant of my ordeal with MINT Dentistry, and how I was charged AGAIN for 2 more months, when they just recently credited me for the previous 3 months that they charged me when they weren't supposed to; AND supposedly my information is no longer in their system... On 10/31 the assistant manager from the McArthur, Irving location told me they will refund the 2 months. GUESS WHAT?! It's 11/17, and I don't see $10 back in my account. They should be crediting me $15, because I had pay $5 to get a new card to ensure MINT doesn't take any more money from me. $10 is not a lot of money, but it's the principle! It's MY money that they had no right to take. I even called again on 11/13 to check on my refund. I had to retell my story, and the person on the phone was shocked to hear about my 4 MONTH NIGHTMARE. She told me she will give my information to the District Manager, and they will contact. me. Lo and behold, NO CALL. Shocker... Today, I AM OVER IT.
