This isn't one of those places where only moms are expected to show up. Dads are in the classroom, on the playground, helping with projects, and building real relationships with the kids and families. It's a community that truly values parents of all kinds. The school itself is incredible. It focuses on play-based learning, is nurturing, and full of heart. Our child is in the junior class this year, and we've been blown away by Miss Kate. She brings warmth, creativity, and a calm confidence that makes the kids feel safe and seen. The kids learn through play, nature, art, music, and community. It's the kind of place where your child's imagination is nurtured, their social-emotional skills are supported, and their joy is contagious. If you're looking for a preschool where your whole family can grow, connect, and be part of something special, Seal Beach Playgroup is it. We've made lifelong memories here and we're just getting started.

LePort has an incredible infant, toddler and after care program. I can't say enough good things…read moreabout them - we are so grateful to have found the amazing teachers we have had so far. My son started at Leport in Ms. Sheikh's class. We immediately saw how much he loved his new classroom and he instantly bonded with Ms. Sheikh, Ms. Greer, and Ms. Sanchez. They were so kind and loving toward him. From day one they advocated for him, going above and beyond to meet him where he was developmentally and push him lovingly to build his confidence. I couldn't have asked for a better class to start my son's time at Leport. It's hard to leave an infant class the he loved so much, so we were naturally unsure how the transition would go. But then we met Ms. Gallo. From our first meeting I was immediately confident that my son would thrive in her class. She is one of the most kind, instructive, fun, and thorough teachers I have met. You feel how much she loves each of her students. My son absolutely loves her and celebrates when we head to the classroom. I've seen him grow so much in a short time and can't wait to see how the rest of the school year goes! He also stays for the after care program. I have been blown away. You never know how after care is going to go. Sometimes teachers just try to pass the time. Not Ms. Patton and Ms. Butler. I smile every day when I got to pick up my son. They do so many crafts and activities. They are learning and playing constantly. The teachers are engaged and can tell you all about the day, what your child is learning - they really know them. On multiple occasions I've heard them mention that "X is interested in paints so we explored that today" or "Y is trying to learn Z so we spent some time practicing". Highly recommend all of these amazing teachers!

She and her team provided such a nurturing environment from ages 12-18 months as we watched our son grow. Then he had Ms. Gallo from 18-22 months. She became like family with how much our son trusted her and how much we could tell she truly cared about him. Her love and guidance was truly astonishing and we were blown away with how much he learned; he wouldn't be the amazing toddler he is today without her! Not only are the staff the nicest people, they truly care about each individual and the teaching and progress of each child. This includes the "morning care" and "after care" staff who take their jobs so incredibly seriously and bond with each and every kid. My son always runs up at the end of the day with the biggest smile on his face and tells me he had the best day. Not being with your child all day is hard but we've never once questioned our choice with LePort!
