Spent a whole freshman year at this school and am now transferring to Kennedy (didn't get the whole…read moreCypress High experience). Bathroom urinals were sometimes filled with trash, and it was annoying. Some bathrooms were closed at random times, so it kinda disrupted my frequent usage during passing periods (I had to hold it in class). Sometimes people would get into fights, but it didn't really affect me. The students' behaviors were a bit questionable because in the PE lockers I got shoved against a wall while people were shoving each other into the locker room, and my legs, arms, and hands were bleeding (not a fun experience and happens very frequently). Also, a kid got sent to the hospital because of a violent incident in the bathrooms. A bit grateful I wasn't that kid, but I felt bad for them. I also saw someone trying to open my locker... Classes were a bit challenging if you were to take honors, but not as much as I thought. Food was edible and pretty good. Overall, the campus was great, and some people were friendly.

I do not like this school I know it has a really go reputation but the principals are just really…read moremean and don't care for what u have to say and my son will not attending this school next year I also don't like the fact that there has been lots of fights lately that my son tould me about and I think it's a really bad school

I am a public school teacher myself- teacher & staff at Grace do an exceptional job. My daughter &…read moreson both LOVE their school & teachers! Our family has had a wonderful experience being apart of this "family"!! I would highly recommend this school program to anyone considering a private Christian school... Well worth the tuition spent!! We have been there for 4 years & have only had amazing experiences!

Circling back to discuss the "lack of rigor" from another poster. I am a public school educator…read more Many of the teachers here previously taught in the public school system, such as one who taught for 20 years in LAUSD. The rigor is there. The staff emails all the time and answers emails quickly without needing to set up appointments--that's a HUGE difference than public school. What GCS does better than public schools is give grace--late work is accepted, retesting is often offered, and more. The funny thing is, this is an equity issue that many public districts are just now doing--LBUSD and LAUSD both offer these now. GCS has been doing this for YEARS because it's part of the praxis of Christianity--if you can have a second chance, they'll give it to you. So thankful to be part of the GCS community. I never thought we'd be private school people, but Covid changed that. Now I see the huge difference between public and private education--and I teach in a public school.

Grace Christian School - I was so touched that Grace Christian School took the time at the beginning of Patriots Day to remember the victims of 9/11.
