After doing some research and reading the great reviews for John's Flooring, I decided to give John a call, and I'm so glad I did! John was able to meet with me that same week and brought samples for me to choose from. I also wanted a little extra padding under the LVP, which was no problem at all. A few weeks before the project started, I asked if he could also replace all the wood baseboards. He came out that same week to take measurements and promptly provided an updated quote. The pricing was fair, the quality of the work was excellent, and John kept me updated throughout the entire process by sending photos of the flooring installation and hardwood refinishing. The transformation was incredible! At first, I barely recognized my own basement because it looked so completely different. The hardwood floors had a faded spot, but after John refinished them, they looked brand new. John was professional, accommodating, and a pleasure to work with from start to finish. I have another project coming up, and my first thought was to call John. I had such a great experience working with him the first time that I can't wait to work with him again. I would give John's Flooring a 10 out of 5 stars if I could! If you're looking for excellent workmanship, fair pricing, and someone who truly cares about the results, I highly recommend John's Flooring.

Thankfully, I got a second opinion from Dave's Master Floor Care. Dave carefully inspected the entire floor and explained that refinishing was possible -- and he delivered outstanding results with good value. Dave is thorough and an excellent communicator. He explained the types of wear on my floors and outlined his refinishing strategy step by step. With little room for error on this type of flooring, I appreciated his clear approach -- there's no "undo" button with refinishing! Dave also has tools I've never seen before -- it felt like he had a gadget for every challenge that came up. Plus, he's been doing this for years, so he knows how different stains and woods react. I even learned a bit along the way. And the best part? Dave does the work himself. Sometimes he brings an assistant to help with simple stuff, but you're really hiring him -- not a random crew. After seeing what he did with the floors, I also had him fix some big cracks in my garage and driveway too. Same story: great work, no fuss. If you want someone knowledgeable, equipped, and detail-oriented, I highly recommend Dave's Master Floor Care.

He provided a consultation for my indoor floors, but then I had him also look at my garage floor and he said he was able to do the work I was looking for, which is what I will be reviewing here today. I had a few cracks in my garage floor and was looking to Epoxy it to protect it for the winter. Dave explained to me his process and how it differs from the competition which helps keep his cost low. The best part about Dave was that he stuck to the quote he gave me, with no surprises or additional ask for money, and he started when he said he would, got the job done quick, and finished when he said he would - anyone who has worked with contractors before knows this is a rarity! Dave was respectful and treated the place with care, and I would recommend his work to others. We think the garage looks great! Dave is passionate about his work and did tend to over-explain some things to me, so some people might enjoy that more than others but it was great to hear how much he knew about the subject!

After meeting and receiving quotes from several contractors, Carl came by our house to do the evaluation. He showed up exactly when he said he would and even brought by pictures of previous work and color samples to review without us asking specifically for them. He impressed me with his knowledge and passion for each type of wood, as our house is a little patchwork with the species, and took the time to explain each in detail. He walked the entire house with us, thoroughly inspecting each room, closet, nook and corner. We had a ton of questions about the color, areas of high traffic, and damage repair to several rooms. He met each question head-on and provided us with confidence in his experience and craftsmanship. We also had a very worn main staircase which he was very enthusiastic about tackling. We agreed on expectations, timing, and a quote was signed before he left the property. Carl had a job reschedule which allowed him to start almost immediately after his visit for quote. He estimated that work would start on Monday morning and would be wrapped by by Friday evening. Not only did he start on Monday morning as expected, but he made time in his schedule to come by one night which allowed the timeline to shrink by one day. He was wrapped up and out of the house by Thursday afternoon. As expected, Carl (and Dave) did an excellent job restoring the floors and staircase in our 80yr old home. They worked so clean that we had to search the walls and trim for any sign of dust. Their attention to detail and ability to repair damage is very impressive. We tried to find a sign of repair in two very badly damaged section and were unable to find any trace! All of the floors, regardless of species, came out even in color, texture, and finish. He recommended an only-based satin finish which looks like a million bucks! The staircase, which is a center focal point of the home, looks absolutely amazing as well. I think the pictures speak for themselves but we are extremely happy to have worked with Carl on this project and I recommend you invite him to review and quote out your next project.

I'm not saying installing the floor was a complete breeze, but it's do able for a homeowner with no experience, plus one father in law with some experience. My floor was around $350 for a 300 square foot room. Even though I hope to eventually put in a hardwood floor, this will do for now. It's pretty, easy to clean and we still got to have Christmas. ;)

My wife and I visited LL Flooring in Burnsville, MN. We had a very positive experience while visiting the store. We decided to proceed with a flooring project for our basement. We engage LL Flooring to install the flooring as they're the "experts". The "experts" arrived to install the flooring and by noon had walked off the job stating that the flooring was defective. Not only was it not defective, but they also started by installing the flooring in the middle of the room. I couldn't get another installation crew out for several days. It was also my responsibility to submit a service ticket, take picture of the defective flooring, and then work with LL Flooring customer support. I did this and didn't hear back till the following week and when I finally spoke with the customer service representative, she said that they don't have an SLA and that it's totally acceptable to respond back in that time frame. I cancelled the installation, installed it myself (with no issues and I'm not an expert installer by any means) and for the entire inconvenience of this project I was offered $150 credit. There's a lot more I could elaborate on regarding the poor customer service and experience my wife and I had but I hope that anyone who reads this reconsiders utilizing LL Flooring for installation. They're subcontractors, not LL Flooring employees, who care very little about your experience. This is from their website. I mentioned this to the customer relationship manager who I worked with. After we ordered the work, BCO was able to put the job on schedule within days. The BCO installers accidentally installed the vinyl plank in the wrong area. This error also led to some other issues. When BCO realized this, it immediately acknowledged its error and responsibility, and worked to correct as soon as it could. The BCO installers were back the next day to start addressing the issues, and Eric and another employee even visited the job after their workdays, just to evaluate and determine solutions. Matt (general manager) got involved at the end to make sure that we were satisfied with the resolution. (We were!)
