(Also! the lack of AC must be such a killer to work there on hot days). Got a beyond burger. Nothing to write home about and I forgot to get cheese on it, so the burger was a little bland but that's on me. I like their portion sizes, good big lunch or chill dinner. Being right on the river is amazing but there is a bunch of stuff stacked between the restaurant and the river right now, so the view is blocked :/ There was a dog wall, which I love (obviously) BUT they didn't take a photo of our dog :( Booty. But love the dog friendly-ness of the place: dog bowls everywhere, dog treats, tables spaced enough apart to not be constantly worried about dogs wondering too close to other people. There was a huge group of ladies playing mahjong, which was such a vibe. Love a place people can come and play games.

My date ordered the burger and liked it! We got the cheese curds too but those got cold fast and weren't as good at other spots. We also had a couple of beers which was so nice, we sat on the patio facing the river. It was a great day overall!

There was definitely a good cheese pull. My only feedback would be this would be wholly elevated with some spices, egg, and fresh mushrooms. Service 5/5: these are made once ordered. They gave me a buzzer so I could walk around the market instead of waiting at their stand. Overall was a great experience. They have a lot of great sweet options, and I'd love to see more savory especially for breakfast. Would also be wonderful if they handed it over in a way that you could eat on the go instead of having to sit down and use a fork/knives. A must try at the Minneapolis farmers market!

They are all fresh made and on a busy Saturday you can expect to wait 10-15 min (or more) depending on the line but it is worth it. One thing I did notice recently is that they had additional Crêpe plates that weren't being used so they may have been short staffed which led to a slightly longer wait. The family that owns the stand moves quickly and is so helpful when taking, making and delivering your order. Just have a little patience and realize that if someone in your part is getting food from another stand, they might be done eating before you get theirs. Our crepe of choice is the mixed berry and it is so yummy but every crepe coming off the plates looked equally delicious.

Great BBQ - 4 stars…read more Amos & Amos is a quirky place. And I have to admit, I love the weirdness. According to the owner, they've been around for 9 years. But the building itself is an old A&W drive-in fast food joint, built in 1953. Very cool! Most people seem to drive around the back of the building and pull into one of the parking spots that were "order from your car" spaces back in the day. Or you can just park on the street. Then you walk up to the window and place your order. Easy, right? This is where it starts to get weird. The sliding order window has 2 basement window well covers bolted over the sliding doors, like a big clam shell. The owners cut a flap in the bottom that only opens from the inside. Apparently, this is some sort of home-made do-it-yourself security thing. It seems to do the job...but you can't talk to them and they can't hear you until they slide open the door and then shout through the clam shell. And they don't seem to be in a hurry to do anything. I stood around like an idiot for a while, watching the lady, until she FINALLY slid the door open and talked to me. Kinda hard to hear through the big plastic clam shell. Speaking of shouting...you wait in your car or stand outside for 15 or 20 minutes and they yell when your food is ready. You can't hear what they're saying when they shout...but it all seems to workout okay. Like I said - quirky. LOW CARB: Okay, on to the most important thing: the food. I got the rib tip combo meal with a big hot link. Both were excellent. The rib tips were amazingly tender and lathered in generous amounts of a sweet sauce. Great taste. My hot link was huge and flavorful. For some reason, it reminded me of a big blood sausage. Good stuff. Unfortunately, you can't get any meat without sides. And all of the sides are plants. So in addition to my meats, I received and payed for unwanted carbohydrates of coleslaw, white bread toast, and a huge mountain starchy of fries. Those all came home with me to feed the Blue Jays and the Squirrels. That was kind of a waste of food but I had no choice about the high starch carbohydrate sides. I like this place. The meats are great. But it's a little frustrating if you eat low carb. It would be awesome if these guys sold meat by the pound, like many of the other BBQ joints. Oh, well. It was worth the stop. -Maxx

It seems that they are rightly known for their sweet baked goods, hence the name, but they have some savory offerings as well. I had heard good things about their congee so I made a point to try that. It was good! Filling, plenty of meat. I also have had a unique, savory roll that was buttery and great, I forgot what it's called but it's good. And I had a Lychee Rose brioche donut. Decadent! Delicious. Loved it. I got a Vietnamese coffee one time that was great, and a matcha milk with ube foam that was also great. So, yeah, really everything I've had has been great! The opening hours are painfully limited. They are only open from 9am to 1pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. And both times I came it was close to noon and they were sold out of LOTS of things. I'm convinced that if you go there because you want something specific, you simply can't trust them to have it available. Instead of planning a specific visit, the wiser approach would be to give them a look if you're in the area during one of the 12 hours they are open in a given week, and see if you're interested in what they aren't sold out of. They have an indoor counter which you get to via the main entrance on 4th street, and guessing your way through the halls until you find them past that gallery. There is also a seating section which has the ambience of a break room at a DMV. But there is also an outdoor window on Saturday & Sunday, with some seats set up in the alley; that description sounds dicey but it's perfectly fine. My hope is that they improve on some of this to make for a more predictably positive experience!
