There was a few times where the cashier would disappear and people would intentionally take their time to brush things against my butt. Another time I bought a shower and someone had diarrhea all over the seat. I came back out to ask what happened and if I could get a new shower. 1 time they weren't there. The other was "why is that shower not good enough for you?" I explained someone pooped on the seat and the jackass said to flush it. With that much diarrhea its basically a health hazard and there wasn't any reason for them NOT TO CLEAN IT, especially since it was their job to.

I bought garlic pickles, a brisket sandwich and coffee. I didnt eat the sandwich and pickles till the next day and they were both delicious. The restrooms were clean. Restroom got a "yellow" today needing some attention with paper on the floor near the sinks and in the first two stalls I checked. The convenience store was tidy and well stocked. I had no problem selecting a coffee cup and filling it with my preferred dairy, sweetener and coffee. Same setup as other Love's with both urns and grind-to-order coffee that worked well. It has charm and character you won't find in a Shell or Speedway. There is usually a group of regulars hanging out at the front chatting. The store is surprisingly large but dark and pretty dusty. The variety of items on the shelves is actually pretty funny and some of them look like they have been there for 40+ years. The couple that runs the place keeps a notebook with all transactions hand written in it. You can get homemade deli sandwiches on the super soft white bread that sticks to the roof of your mouth when you take a bite. Nothing fancy but it's nice to get lunch for 2 for less than $10 anywhere these days. They serve breakfast as well but I haven't made it in to try that yet. They also sell fuel but you can't pay at the pump. I would find that annoying some places but it just makes sense here. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of places left like Shelton's.
