He's a good man. Took care of my GP needs when I didn't have a specific doctor for that.

Normally I have a good experience with this practice, I have been seeing the same doctor for years…read more She is not the focus of this review (maybe incidentally). I have surgery coming up in two weeks so naturally there is a bit of a time crunch. Pre-Operative testing and blood work needs to be completed by next week. Strike one. I take in the paperwork the surgeon's office had given me to give to them. Oh, no, it has to be faxed, we don't accept written orders. Ok, (insert trouble with an entire phone system crashing taking precious time). Then the doctor's office faxed the orders as requested, they told me the time of day that they had been received. I called to confirm that they had arrived. No, nothing in the fax machine. Okay, I called back in the afternoon and the person (the same one I had spoken to in the morning, by the way) said that the doctors were all taking care of patients and they would review the fax at the end of the day. Why on earth, didn't she tell me in the first place? So do you wonder when I got a call back? Two days later. So I told them forget it I had the work done elsewhere. So, perhaps they could work on their communication skills?

They don't get any more chances from me. The receptionist was quite rude, and clearly put out by me having an appointment, and although finally assuring me that my appointment was fine and someone would be with me shortly, she came back 30 minutes later and told me they didn't have anyone who could see me. Clearly they are not ready to deal with patients on a human level and I'd have to say organization is severely lacking. If people are coming to your medical facility, most likely, they're not having the greatest day they could be having. Perhaps a little bit of compassion and empathy would go along way with people. I will say I have had wonderful interactions with both Melissa and Jessica. Outside of them, the practice has nothing going for it.

The building itself is nicely laid out, with large, clean elevators, hallways, and seating areas. The complimentary WiFi is a plus too. I wish they were using a waiting-room procedure similar to what they are doing at many offices downstate, i.e., you call from your car, and they call you back when they are ready for you, eliminating the need to wait in the waiting room. But I guess they've done the next best things. They've removed a lot of the chairs to promote distancing, and they've also removed reading materials. So it's you and a couple of other people in distant corners looking at your phone or twiddling your thumbs. Once something becomes large and structured staging can become an issue and a time-waste. My mom reports sometimes having to wait for someone in an examination room as long as 20 minutes or more. I'd like to say that this is an exception to the norm, but I can't. There's also occasionally glitches in the transfer of paperwork between these offices and nearby Saratoga Hospital. Sometimes communications are within a couple of minutes, other times it can be a day or two before things get received and acknowledged. It's not anything I would consider show-stopping or worth taking business elsewhere, just occasionally frustrating.

I was called by the Community Care Physicians in the Saratoga office to schedule an appointment, I did not call them for the appointment. I hadn't been there for just over a year so I made the appointment thinking it was a routine annual visit. I was not told about any possible charges that would not be covered by insurance. There was nothing remarkable about the visit with a PA. The PA was pleasant but I was not impressed with his fund of knowledge. I get a bill with 2 service codes one of which is not recognized by Medicare. Again there was nothing with the encounter to warrant this. I'm being billed $300 as a result of this. For over 3 weeks and multiple calls I have not received any explanation or call back. I have requested copies of my records which have not been provided. I have reported this to Medicare who feels there is reason to open a fraud investigation, which is being done. Medical practices should not be a source of stress, especially for seniors. I have experienced occasions when a test or exam was not going to be covered by Medicare and was informed before the test or exam. I have seen multiple renowned physicians at some of the finest hospitals in Manhattan and never had a problem like this. This is the only practice I have ever received a bill from excluding the Medicare deductible. I believe the practice knows this service code is not covered by Medicare and uses it as a way of fleecing their patients. Why else would they not make this known ahead of time and why won't they offer an explanation instead of just blowing you off. Avoid this practice!!!!!!

I've been in the medical field for 7 years and this practice seems great so far!…read more I had to switch doctors because my old Dr was an hour away and I could NEVER get in to see him with my work schedule, and would no longer fill my Rx without making another appointment. I'm not a doctors type of person. I've had the same primary care for 7 years, although I wasn't thrilled with him, I had no reason to change because I wasn't there enough to care. The thought of changing was not thrilling to me. I saw Nurse Practitioner Ericka Matzen at this practice and she was LOVELY! So were the staff! She was fairly new to the practice, but she made me more comfortable in one visit then my previous doctor had in 7 years. I lost my father last Christmas. It's sometimes very hard to talk about along with my mental health and the staff and Ericka made me feel very relaxed. Had no issues whatsoever with medication reordering, and also had my physical done. Was very thorough with her questions and physical. It wasn't just a look at your ears check lungs and heart and that's it, which is awesome. Overall very lovely and sweet staff, great friendly atmosphere. In my personal and professional opinion do not knock a NP, ever! I know people want to see the "actual doctor" a lot. But NP's are more use to the hands on bedside care that doctors may not focus on so much. After all they were once nurses!!!! I 100% recommend Ericka!
