The transmission went out late Saturday night and my daughter and I were stuck. We called AAA and they sent out Warrens... and I am glad they did! We required towing and storage for a week until the transport company could get my ride home. The manager and Owner worked out a GREAT deal for the extended storage and assisted in getting it loaded up when the transportation company arrived. Untrustable shop! The worst experience I've ever had with a mechanic. We live in a small town and I…read moredont know why they did this gamble with their reputation?!! Here is the story: I got an appointment for a regular service on my Mercedes 2011 E350 with 120k miles 2 weeks ago. I asked about the cost of service and been told "we dont know and need to check what Mercedes instruction is". Fair enough. I left the car with them yesterday morning and havent received any update until I called them today at noon. They said "we have been working on your car yesterday and today and it'll be ready late this afternoon". Anyway, I went there at 5:00 pm and been told that it takes time to prepare the worksheet!! Come back at 6:00 pm. When I asked about the cost, I heard we dont know yet! When I went back the first thing they showed me was a screen on the computer that shows different services for Mercedes cars and some numbers which he explained as the labor cost "if you take your car to dealership" and said "it will exceed $900-$1000 just for labor". Very nasty trick to throw a high price for a psychological shock and then hit you with lower price with relief. Anyway, he put $537 bill in front of me and said "thats half of dealership charges!" When I confronted him about it and asked why you didnt tell me the cost and you shouldn't do things without consulting with me (customer), he said "you didnt say you have a LIMIT so I fixed your car". WTF does that mean and how does this justify a fat bill??? To be clear, my car was not broken and it was fully functional with no significant problem. At the end he lowered the bill to $388 but its the worst way of doing business. As a first time customer, my experience was horrible and I found too many red flags to not trust this shop.

I called them out on the lie and they admitted it was being delivered from Fremont Ford that is 2.5 hours away because it's cheaper. I told them next time don't lie, give the customer the choice.
