Run away. This place is terrible and I think the owner is nuts. Don't even think about bringing him a bike for a tune up, brake pad replacement, tires, etc, unless you bought it from him. If you do, you will get a lengthy explanation of why your bike isn't right for you, why it is junk, and why it probably needs to have everything replaced which would cost more than the bike is worth. Ever been to a sleazy used car lot where the salesman gives you a long explanation of why he has to charge you $4500 for a $500 car due to warranty, inspection, etc? Same thing but with bikes. He will not even replace a tire without insisting that he completely disassemble your bike (for a charge) then reassembling so that it is up to his standards due to "insurance reasons." ??? If you need repairs, you're much better off going to the old Crystal City Cyclery on hwy 61/67. They only do repairs now but they are super nice and knowledgeable and are willing to help. They told me they usually get a couple complaints PER DAY about Mineral Area Cyclery--crazy. read more
