I just started going here around November. This was only my second time visiting. Let me start by saying everyone there was really nice. That's the only reason I am giving them two stars. Nice means nothing when it's unsanitary conditions. I've NEVER had a nail infection so I didn't recognize the signs. The first red flag I noticed my cuticles were a little swollen after they did my nails the first time... but I bartend so I thought maybe I hit my hand on something. When they took the polish off for my second fill in a few weeks later I noticed my nails were a little yellow and my nail beds were sore. She said it was fine and put some stuff on it that burned before finishing my nails. Fast forward two weeks later...as the polish starts to grow out I noticed the side of two of my nails are looking crazy! Like a brownish yellow and they hurt a little bit. I took the nails off and one of them was so bad I had to cut 1/3 of my nail off. A couple of days have gone by but I was told it will take a while to heal. Possibly a month or two. Please be careful and ask them to sanitize their products and wash their hands before doing your nails. I like the people but I will never go back there. read more

Came here since I desperately needed to get my nails done and was only in town for a few days. Came in and was seated right away. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure. One lady began to work on my hands and another on my feet. The ladies were very personable and the salon was clean. Darlene did my pedicure and she was awesome. The lady who did my nails was good too but unfortunately, I can't remember her name. Darlene though was great. She took her time on my feet and let's just say, I was definitely overdue having my feet done. She did such a good job and was so relaxing, I fell asleep while she was working on my toes! I will NEVER come here again. First of all, the nail tech seemed to be in a rush. I understand it's getting busy but don't rush through my nails to get to the next person. Second, she was rough as hell. She snipped and burned me a few times with the drill because she was trying to get done so fast. Third, I feel like I was I feel like I was overcharged. She stated that I did not have common sense and I don't listen. I told her manager Kevin and he immediately took her side and said I didn't her say that. Glad I did not read the negative reviews before deciding to go to Mindy's. I have been a customer for 2 years now and I have no complaints. Mai does my individual lashes, eyebrow and lip waxing, and Kathy goes my pedicures. I can make an appointment and they are always ready for me when I come in. The atmosphere is relaxing with tranquil spa like music playing through the salon. Are they crowded-absolutely!, so I go after work during the week or first thing Saturday morning. This was the most horrible nail experience I've ever had. I've been to Oliver Finley Nail School in Idaho and i know how to do nails. These people DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. they don't even know how to do basic nail art. Not to mention the butcher job they did. They do not know how to use a drill. I saw enclaves there but did not see the instruments being cleaned and disenfected after each use. I'm bleeding on 4 of my fingers because of the nail tech drilling on my skin. I don't know how these people stay in business. I have had pedicures here and they are awful. They do not spend any time on your feet. There is still rough skin on your feet when you leave. Then they charge you $30 for a 20 minite pedicure. I only went here for convenience because I live in the area. Never again. If you want a excellent pedicure go to the nail shop on Candler Rd in the big lots shopping center across from South Dekalb mall. You will never go anywhere else. I have been going there for over 30 years. They spend a hour on your feet and you are so happy when you leave. There is always a wait, so be prepared. The end of the month is not so busy. If I could give zero stars i would! Horrible!!!! I was rushed into picking a color for SNS. then the lady was in such a rush she literally was hurting me to get to the next customer. My pedicure was okay. nothing to say that was great... But then i give her a $50 gift cards and tell her to charge my card $10. $2 for the over the gift card & $8 for tip. She charged my card $62 which over drew my account! They could not pay me to go back here. Did i mention she left polish all over the sides of my nails on my skin! Rating!!! minus zero!! Mindy lied and said that she been doing eyebrows tattooing for over 10 yrs, not only she charge over $250 for that service. First mindy would draw the brow on, then mindy would fill in the drawing with the needle, after two week we notice the brows were not the same match, one look like the Mcdonald's arch and the other brow look like a bat wing, but when I went back to complain after the scab fell off mindy claim she didn't see a difference in the brows, well not only she refuse to refund my money back I went ahead and file a claim with the BBB in the mean time she quickly closed her business which was next to Honey Bake Ham and Publix and open/ move up the street which is now next too Burlington. I am not sure this place is sanitary. The techs seem to not disinfect anything so you don't know what you are catching. They had this guy do a manicure for me while another lady did the pedicure. His nails were filthy with dirt underneath them, which tells me that he didn't wash his hands. I wonder if they have to have inspections like restaurants. Aren't they supposed to have beauty licenses to do a pedicure or manicure? I could go to a beauty school and pay less and get a better job done! I was told by a podiatrist to bring ur own nail polish. If not, ur using polish that could pick up many germs or viruses. If they cut someone that has HIV and do not sanitize they could be putting lives in jeopardy! read more

Normally I am not one to complain or write a review about any service rendered from a business, but in this case it is very warranted. It started with me taking my girls to this nail salon. We have never had a bad experience here before, but this time we did. First, the guy cut my daughter on the thumb. I mentioned it and he reluctantly gave me $3 off. I understand mistakes happened so I said ok and we left. When we got home she washed her hands and her fingers were burning on several fingers. There was broken skin on several other fingers. I called and asked to speak to the owner. They told me she was not there and to call back "next week." I felt that was not true so I got in my car and went back to the salon. At the salon, I speak to the owner who was not there and wouldn't be back until next week. She went on to examine the nails and offers to give me $10 back and some almond. While discussing the situation my daughter's finger begins to bleed steadily. At that time, I became very upset and requested a refund for her fingers only and not her toenails too. The owner told me in order to give me a refund for the nails she would have to remove them. I have never seen such poor customer service! So I had the nails removed. Before this incident, we enjoyed coming to this nail shop. We will never patronize this business again. I would not recommend this nail salon to anyone! read more
