I drove an hour for this appointment. I took off of work. I wasted gas, time, and money. I showed up on time just to wait half an hour. Another woman in the building told me I should just go home. On my way home (10 minutes down the road) Mindy texted requesting I reschedule. Which of course, I will not. She has been unprofessional and inconsiderate. Mindy has canceled the last 3 massages I've had booked, and today was my last straw. She canceled my massage in 30 minutes today for "severe weather" and refused to give me a refund. For context, it's not currently raining and we are under a "thunderstorm watch". Do NOT book if you are actually in pain or actually want a massage. Edited to add: I could have forgiven most of this with even a modicum of kindness or professionalism. Instead, Mindy reverted to "told you so" and "you're just mad I was right about the rain" and "if you don't like it, go somewhere else lol". I was about to book through Groupon which showed highly rated reviews, but I checked Google reviews where they were much lower (3.5, based upon manner, upcharging services, and more). I decided to call Mindy anyway to book, giving the benefit of the doubt based upon all the good reviews and Groupon pricing, but got her voicemail which sounded very unprofessional to me and not very warm & welcoming (which validated several of the negative reviews), so I decided to cancel and go elsewhere. read more

Worst massage I've ever had, not exaggerating. Terrible massage & unprofessional. First, I was shocked when I had to pay $10 to book the appt! This was a gift. My mom was horrified when I mentioned this "booking fee" & said the Groupon didn't mention it. I have never PAID to book any kind of appt in my life! I arrived early, found the room, stuck my head in the open door & said, "Hi, I'm you're 3:00." She didn't make eye contact & made some non-speech sounds. So I asked, "Do you want me to wait out here?" "Yeah." She got me when she was ready & said, "I need to see your Groupon." No introduction, just show me your Groupon. I held up my phone w/the bar code. She said I didn't have the right part up, that I needed to redeem it. I had redeemed it which is how I got the code. But then she held her phone up & scanned the barcode which worked. She mumbled something about her phone not working. She told me to lie on the table face down & left the room. The Groupon was for a Swedish or Deep-Tissue Massage; she never asked me which I wanted! Lots of oil & stroking the same spot on my back over & over. But I was giving her the benefit of the doubt. She stepped away from the table & I heard what sounded like wooden rods banging together. I felt a ribbed, wooden, rolling stick being aggressively rolled up & down my back. Ok, unusual but again, benefit of the doubt. I heard the wooden rods banging around again & then felt the same thing. Ok.... More banging & then it was something that felt like a large wooden crochet needle being aggressively jammed around my shoulder blade & shoulder. I found this unusual but was still going w/it. I thought maybe this new method would do something helpful. Wrong. I got home in so much pain! The pain in my shoulder was so bad that it woke me throughout the night! I had to ice it for 2 days! When she was done w/me on my stomach, she said, "Scoot down & turn over under the covers." Every massage therapist I've ever had holds the blanket up like a screen so you can easily turn over & move. But she stepped away from the table & I had to navigate this process myself w/ the sheets shifting around. I began wondering where Mindy was trained bc she rubbed ACROSS my spine multiple times - a huge no no. I was tempted to stop her & end the session so many times but kept sticking it out hoping something would improve so I could give my parents a nice report. On my back, she started rubbing the same spot on my neck REPEATEDLY w/her left hand. I wondered what she was doing with her right hand & quickly realized she was texting! Her music was on her phone which was behind my head on my left. Suddenly it was on my right - left side of neck rubbed over & over. She was rubbing her thumb from the right side of my neck across my spine to the left. Then, the music was behind me again. I hoped it was a one-time thing. Nope. This kept happening for several minutes. I kept debating saying something or just existing thru it bc I wanted to get it over with. It went on for so long that I had no choice but to say, "Do you have something you need to attend to?" She must've been stunned that I addressed her rudeness bc she made some more non-verbal noises. I said, "I don't mind waiting if you need to stop & take care of it." Of course, I would mind but I was trying to make the point that she was being rude & unprofessional. She mumbled, "Just checking them." What?! I almost laughed! 'Just checking them?!' No, apology! She at least got the hint that she needed to stop. After typing out this review, I began reading other reviews & discovered her texting during sessions wasn't unique! Not only that, she replies to these reviews in a very nasty way saying she has a business to run! Yes, Mindy, you do & if you were running it correctly, you would never text during a session! It's unprofessional! Reading her responses to other negative reviews is truly appalling. If she knew any business practice, she would handle negative reviews with grace, not spiteful anger. Thankfully, the whole dreadful experience ended soon after. She said she would get me some water while I got dressed. I have always been given a water bottle of some size, usually 8 or 16 oz. When I walked out, she handed me a Dixie cup of water. I mean, should I have expected anything more after what I had just suffered through?? Lol. I do not recommend Mindy. She is not good at what she does, & she is incredulously unprofessional. Spare yourself pain that keeps you from sleeping & causes you to type out a negative review at 4AM. I am honestly stunned that she has positive reviews. If people had as many massages as I have, they would know what a good massage is, & it isn't what Mindy offers. Even if you took the unprofessionalism away, she just does a lot of repetitive stroking & aggressive massaging across your spine! I won't be returning & I encourage anyone reading this to avoid having an experience like mine. read more

She stood me up. I had scheduled a massage over 2 weeks ago. I arrived early just to make sure I was on time. The appointment was confirmed yesterday. When I arrived, she was not there. Another woman let me in and sent her a text stating I was there. Mindy responded she was running late due to an apartment move. I was scheduled at noon. She wanted to move me to 12:30. I had another appointment at 1:30 , so that would not work. Do you just move from an apartment when you have something else scheduled. Very unprofessional! Having had many massages in my lifetime, I realize I am partially responsible for my disappointment with my massage. I should have clearly stated my goals and asked more questions about techniques being used (Hence the 3 stars instead of 2).I should have also asked if these techniques were covered by the Groupon I was using. However, I believe Mindy should have asked about my expectations, explained the techniques she was using, additional costs, whether I wanted those used, and what I could expect before and after. I realize a deep massage can result in soreness, but I don't think I should be so uncomfortable that two days later I can't sleep on my back. The hourlong massage focused only on my shoulders. Mindy did cupping as well as using something that resembled a small rolling pin. I bruise easily and when I sent a photo to Mindy to ask if this was something of concern, she told me these aren't bruises but toxins being released. I'm drinking lots of water as advised. I have terrible long term back issues and pain, I have bought several different packages with Mindy in the last few months and I have really had a turn around in my pain and mobility. She has always been professional and very timely. I have had massages all over the world and see does an excellent job. She always asks where I need some extra attention and is mindful of my low back that is extremally sensitive bc of a surgery. I have been recommending and referring her to a lot of my friends. Horrible experience!! This massage was a Mother's Day gift, and I so looked forward to it--especially with all of the positive reviews. I've had many massages before, but none since before Covid and moving back to Edmond after several years away. My daughter purchased the massage with an option of adding hot stone or cupping or putting the extra money toward the tip. I considered the hot stone--definitely did not want cupping--but finally decided to put the extra toward the tip. I went in for my full body relaxing Swedish massage ready to have an hour of calming stress relief. Mindy asked if I had any areas that needed extra attention (as all massage therapists do). I told her my hips and knees were extra stiff due to an illness a few months ago that had me flat on my back for awhile. She asked about the level of pressure I wanted, and I told her light to medium and informed her that I did not like or want deep tissue massage. It was too much for me. She began with pretty firm pressure that made me wince and tighten up--and continued regardless of my reactions or comments. Without warning I felt a sudden hot suction on my back. I said, "Are you cupping me?!" She said she was but I really needed it in this spot. I thought maybe there was a particular spot she thought this might help--but I was wrong! She continued cupping all over my back! She was sticking them on so fast! I was caught off guard and didn't know what to do. Remember--this was all without my permission or even being told ahead of time that she was going to do it. The entire session was tense and painful. There were no long, relaxing Swedish massage strokes. Not even one! Then, before I even realized how much time had passed, she was telling me I could get up and get dressed. What the heck?? SHE HAD SPENT THE ENTIRE TIME CUPPING MY UPPER BACK AND HAD NEVER EVEN GOTTEN NEAR THE TROUBLE SPOTS I WAS HOPING TO GET SOME RELIEF FOR. --And here we are with beautiful sunny weather and I cannot go swimming, wear sundresses, or tank tops because my back was covered in huge, painful bruises!!! Absolutely horrible experience with a "masseuse " who does not care or listen to her clients' needs--but instead, just wants to do cupping. If cupping is what you want, she's your girl. This was the most unprofessional business I have been to. I've been getting massages for many years and have never experienced the things I did at this appointment. I was gifted this massage through Groupon so I had never been here before. I was a little concerned when I had to pay $10 to book the massage, and then was charged $20. but when ahead with the appt. When I got there, she didn't even have the courtesy to learn my name, or walk down to the reception area to introduce herself. She just yelled from her room at the end of the hallway (calling me by the wrong name). Things just didn't seem to flow well. She seemed in a hurry, the hot stones weren't hot. And then I noticed she kept stopping in the middle of the massage for several seconds, and one time I counted a full 60 seconds. I finally looked up and saw she was on her phone. I have had A LOT of massages over the years and NEVER have I had a massage therapist bring her phone into an appt with her. Never. There were other little things that seemed unprofessional to me, but after I saw this, I nearly got up and walked out but I wanted to settle the matter of being charged $20. instead of $10 when I booked the appt. At the end of the session she rushed me out saying it was paid with Groupon. I explained how I'd been overcharged and and I wanted my $10. back. She wasn't happy about it, and explained how she didn't want to go through Square for the refund because it would take too long, but thought she might have enough cash in her purse. I said I would wait for her to check. And then I told her how I'd never had any therapist bring her phone in, much less check it so often during an appt. She tried to explain how it was an Android phone and she was just checking the time. Honestly...if that truly was the reason she had to check her phone every few minutes, then she needs to get a small clock like all the other massage therapists do and quit using her phone. Then she tried to tell me that most people just use that extra $10 charge as a tip. I said nope, I wanted my money back. No way was I leaving a tip for her. Don't waste your time or money. Yesterday was the 2nd time mindy bailed on me with absolutely no call or text or email in advance. The first time I came in and someone at the spa told me that mindy had to leave because her daughter was sick at school, I didn't receive any notice, but I get it, life happens and kids get sick so I rescheduled. Yesterday was my appointment I show up early and see mindy leaving the spa at 3:45, I figure maybe she's just running to the gas station to get a drink or something no biggie I go to the door and it's locked I go back to my car, text her to confirm appointment,(no reply from her at all) and sit and wait to see if she shows back up right at 4pm. 4pm comes and goes and she's no where to be seen. I walk back up to the door just to check and it's still locked and this time the lights are all off. At this point it's 4:05pm im not gonna sit around and wait for someone who may never show up, I leave and call her, and of course she doesn't answer, but then she texts me a little bit later with some BS story about her being with a client and blah blah blah. I literally saw her leave the spa as I pulled into the parking lot at 3:45. Then when I said that, of course it's no longer her problem and she referred me to Groupon cause she got caught in a lie. Lol. I don't like being lied to. Thankfully I got my refund from Groupon. But I 100% do not recommend mindy to anyone. She's unprofessional, rude, a liar, and a bad business woman. I should have read her previous reviews before I spent time and money trying to get a massage from her to begin with. Lesson learned. read more

I've been going to Mindy for several months now. She has done an awesome job getting the kinks out of my back and relieving pain I've been having in my neck and back. I love to get the cupping, warm bamboo, and hot stones. I've never had any problems with any of my appointments. She does occasionally run a few minutes late with her previous client due to getting everything ready but I just wait and it's only a few minutes. She does a great job and has great prices! read more
