Initial conversation (free) went well. Second appointment we met in his office. When my husband…read moreand I arrived we were told that the second appointment was a phone consultation (which we would not have agreed to). I asked if he reviewed our 2025 tax return (one of the key reasons for the visit) having had it prepared quickly by a chain firm I had no confidence in. He stated that not only did he not review the return as requested, but that his computer didn't work. Then he proceeded to make a phone call to deal with his personal auto insurance. I am not one for big fancy offices, but his office was an unorganized mess. You could not even see him from across his desk with all the computers (I guess all non working?) he had on his desk. We left his office once he called his auto insurance company. As the client (well almost) it was clear we were not the priority. He may well be a competent CPA but his actions elicited no confidence. If you are looking for a new CPA, as we are, look elsewhere.

That wasn't even the worst part - they got the most critical piece of information wrong... It was so blatantly wrong that is was laughable. The incompetence was rightfully there. I urge anyone to properly vet this company and make sure they know what they're getting into.

Worst customer service imaginable. Ignoring your clients is the lowest level of service a business…read morecan provide. They don't return phone calls or emails (I'm talking in July- not in April. That would at least be understandable.) When trusting someone with your finances, we expect someone who cares....which is why we chose a smaller Manayunk firm instead of one of the big Philly firms. Somehow, there seems to be no regard for customer care or personalized service...or any service for that matter. Since it seems clear the JEM&Assoc and our "accountant" Brian seem not to value our business in the slightest, we will be taking our business elsewhere. I don't have time to chase people who I am paying to do a service for myself and my family. If you need further clarification of the situation, it's been almost a month since my first email, a week since my follow up email asking if he had an alternative preferred method of communication, and three days since I called his office and left a message. We had to file an extension, so we are-in fact-working under a deadline. This isn't the first time we've been disappointed with their professionalism...but it will be the last.

Definitely not a good sign. My husband is self employed and contacted Ms. Sam to help with our business and personal tax preparations. Ms. Sam was responsive to us initially, and as time passed we have yet to hear back from her. We have real concerns with this company and started calling and leaving her messages along with emails to find out where we were at with our taxes. In the beginning we gave Ms. Sam the benefit of the doubt because it was tax season, and one would only assume that any accountant worth their salt would be extremely busy at this tme of the year, right?! Our patience began waring, and as time has passed (Months) we continue to call and leave messages asking her to please contact us. It has been months since our last conversation with Ms. Sam, thus leaving us in a precarious situation with our tax filing. She has all of our financial information which is not cool at all and leaves me contemplating our next step ... This has been the worst experience with someone who has just completely ghosted us for no apparent reason whatsoever ?! Not to mention, her unprofessionalism at it's worst when her business success solely relies on satisfied paying customers, not to mention her reputation as well! If anyone out there has had a similar situation with Ms. Sam, or if someone has retained her services very recently or even knows how to reach her ... please post it. When I did, he wasn't there. I noticed on on their signage it states that they are by appointment so I don't know why they would tell me to just come by. I asked the person at the front deak if I should make an appointment than. I was then told again to just come back later before they closed at 5. I came back at 3:45. Their door was closed and no one was there. I wasted my afternoon traveling back and forth twice. I won't be using their services.
