It's by far one of the most affordable gyms around with friendly staff, professional trainers, excellent classes, a great selection of machines, equipment and facilities including pool, steam and sauna. Lately, however, some negatives have been marring the overall experience. VASA did a massive membership drive/upgrade at the end of 2025 which has increased foot traffic dramatically. It's rare to visit now and not have a wait to use machines (especially treadmills). And speaking of treadmills, there are currently 3 treadmills out of order, and it appears that 1 or 2 are missing, given the spacing in the first row of machines. My second and bigger criticism is the subpar housekeeping, specifically the men's locker room toilets. There has been an ongoing issue with at least one toilet being clogged by paper and waste. And often multiple stalls with no toilet paper. There has been one stall marked "out of order" for a week. Yesterday and today there was another toilet clogged, and the other two stalls with no paper. Other times I've seen toilets clogged and water that has overflowed. Really disgusting to walk through that! Overall, I give this gym 4 stars for equipment and facilities offered. Sadly, they deserve 1 star for maintenance and housekeeping.

I've tried to address this at Wheaton VASA and through corporate. All I've received in return is form letters and assurances. Pool: In the pool, the ledge on each of the three swimming lanes is covered in dirt and grime. Items float at the bottom of the pool, such as Band-Aids and gauze. In the corners of the pool, sediment, mostly dirt and sand, settle in the bottom of the pool. Interestingly, the pool is often closed. Not sure why they do such a terrible job of keeping it clean. Hot tub: hot tub is equally repulsive and not maintained properly. The intakes are covered with black mold and grime. For some reason, they close it every few days in the morning. Often you cannot use it. Seems like it would be better to clean it. (although, I'm not sure they ever do.) when customers are not using it. In off hours. Water access: some bottle fillers / water fountains Have been broken for months. (The one by the sauna, for example). Nothing seems to be maintained well. Locker rooms: these are bad! 1) the shower stalls in the men's locker room smell like a truck stop urinal. Flies Buzz around the stall as you shower. This indicates maggots are in the drain. It's been like this for months. 2) there is insufficient seating in the locker room. Some people spread all their positions on the benches, leaving no room for other others to change. This could be remedied easily but VASA, both locally and nationally is non-responsive to suggestions of customers. 3) the air vents on the ceiling, appear to be clogged with mold. This can't be healthy. 4) the hooks in the shower stalls have been broken off for almost a year. Any items you bring with you to the shower Must sit on the floor in the shower. What is most troubling is the lack of response to the lack of cleanliness. There is a reason VASA is cheap. It is built upon not expending money for cleanliness. They rely on customers, not caring that they may catch a disease from the unsanitary conditions. It is part of the VASA business model, I suppose. If enough of us bring attention to the unhealthy conditions, perhaps VASA will fulfill their obligations. I suggest reporting it to the DuPage County health department.

If you're looking for an indoor tennis membership, Wheaton Sport Center (WSC) is an excellent…read morechoice. They have friendly staff, efficient service, and adequate facilities and equipment. For our family, WSC serves multiple purposes. My husband is an active tennis player who tries to play at least twice a week. Considering how brutally cold Chicago winters are, it wouldn't be feasible to play outdoors during the winter months. So with WSC, he has been able to find a community of players to play throughout the winter. On the weekends, my husband would give our young girls and cousins private tennis lessons. There are four, all year-round, indoor courts, and eight dome courts for the winter. We have been consistently going every weekend for the last four months and have yet to encounter any availability issues. In addition to tennis, our girls have also joined the swimming lessons. For level 3, there are usually 2-4 instructors. Thus far, we have had a good experience with Ms. Abby, Mr. Christopher, and Ms. Christina. The class size is generally around 8-12 kids depending on attendance. Knowing how young children are, it takes a ton of effort and patience to get them to listen to instructions. Huge kudos to these instructors for having that high-level patience! As for myself, I would utilize the gym equipment such as treadmills, ab machines, and weights. All of the equipment are well maintained and clean. WSC could get busy on the weekends but I have not had trouble with machine availability. All in all, WSC is a solid place for anybody looking for a place to play indoor tennis, have young children who are interested in swimming, and/or just trying to maintain healthy life choices.

Nestled by the Wheaton train station (where they have a French market every Saturday), this small studio is impressive. I've been going to tribalance for some time, but found this studio that's closer to me and more my vibe. I used to practice Bikram (before the scandal) in Cali and this place has that cool Cali/city vibe. It's immaculately clean and the showers have such good water pressure. The classes are what you expect them to be, HOT, intense, and oh so rewarding. My joints and back always feel phenomenal after class. And the staff are so warm and friendly. Shout out to Becky and Agata for their continued support in my yoga journey. Pro tip: On Saturdays (while the French market is open), give yourself a half an hour extra from the time you usually leave your home as parking can be challenging, and you don't want to be late. She had a calming and pleasant demeanor. After class she said that maybe I should try traditional yoga (Next's version of bikram) since she felt it would suit me better. She was right!!!! I've been going twice a wwek to the Wheaton location and love it! Casey and Sarah are fabulous instructors. The instructors are top-notch and I've loved every class I've taken, as each instructor's style is unique. While there are elements which are standard for every yoga class no matter where you go, the class experience here is just different... and elevated compared to a park district class. My favorite classes are Soulful Yoga and Yin Yoga with Christy Studant. Can't wait to try aerial!

I went to visit when they were in the midst of construction. It had been a gym previously by another owner and was bought by ATI and remodeled. They have a kids center, room for classes (spin, yoga, etc.), pool, sauna, hot tub, full beautiful locker room, juice bar with nutritional supplements available and a full floor of free weights, every type of Precor imaginable (some with their own tv screens you can plug your headphones in to) and big scary machinery for those looking to bulk up. Nate was my sales person. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable and most definately not pushy. I have seen the manager in the gym, greeting people at the front desk, on both occasions which is a nice change from the impersonal lack of greeting at the large gym up the street (which I still have a beef with). All in all, it's a great club. I am reserving my 5 star rating for a short time while I get more acclimated to the club as a whole. I am also waiting for their classes to start, which won't be a full menu until February. Also, my only issue so far is that you have to bring your own lock. Kind of caught me off guard when I went the first time and ended up having to leave my wallet, keys, phone, etc. in my car. Would have been nice if they have some on hand that you can rent for a short time. Just a thought. Overall, I am very impressed so far. Reasonable prices for monthly membership (less than the big gym down the street) and more personal service.

Great atmosphere, fantastic coaches that are genuinely interested in not only getting to know you as an athlete but also as a person. Everyone I've met here so far is amazing. Highly recommend!
