ILLICIT "Massage" FINANCIAL SHAKEDOWN! Horrible experience…read more I wanted a massage recently and this one is the closest to my house. So, I called to make sure they were open, and I was told they were and to come right in. Amber greeted me after I rang the bell at the locked front door and took me into one of their massage rooms. Once in there, she asked if I wanted to 30-minute massage. I told her that I preferred a 60 or even 90-minute massage and she said that they only do 30 or 60-minute ones. So, I chose the latter, she said that would be $60 cash and to pay her then, which I did. She directed me to undress and get on the table face down before she left the exam room, which I did, She gave an appropriate Swedish massage with me on my stomach for ~20 minutes. Then, she told me to turn over but before continuing my massage, she offered me essentially a "happy ending" massage for another $100. I told her that I didn't want that, which she seemed very disappointed about. She repeated her offer and verified that I didn't want any other services besides a usual Swedish massage. When I told her that was true, she another 10 minutes, and then said then only gave me about 10 minutes massage and told me to get dressed and it was over. I told her that I'd asked for and paid for a 60-minute massage, but she said I would only be getting 30-minutes and that my $60 would be allocated as $40 for a 30-minute massage and $20 for her tip! I tried to have her follow through on our original agreement, but she made it clear that unless I was willing to pay at least $100 for other additional services, I wouldn't be receiving more than a 30-minute massage. Obviously, this appears at least for her to be a front for illicit sexual activity and possibly prostitution. I have never had such a financial shakedown occur in the decades I've been getting massages in Indy and elsewhere and which I was shocked and left felling swindled. Also, some 2022 reviews before this new management mention "Not much in the way of a massage, but it's worth a visit if you're looking for the goods" and "Hot women nice happy ending." So, this may be back despite the new mgt. The building is a nondescript 2-business in a freestanding building that looks a bit run down from the outside. Fortunately, it looks must nicer inside and appeared clean. Other Google Reviews indicate that new management took over this location in the last year and renovated the inside, which is still reflected as such. The bell at the locked front door however is Scotch taped to the door frame about 5 feet high. Unless you are looking to get such "extra" services by Amber at the Lavender Spa on Lafayette Road for $160 or more, you should plan to get your massage elsewhere.

I am a regular at Lavendar Spa because they give good legitimate baggage therapy at a fair price…read more I have visited other places in town and this is my favorite. People who visit have to show respect for the therapists and tip them for a good massage. After a visit to StretchLab or visit to the chiropractor I visit so I can feel limber. NO ONE pushes me for high tips or extra services!!! If someone misbehaves they will be asked to leave IMMEDIATELY!!!

My friend and I enjoyed a lovely Sunday at the Conrad Spa. This spa is really the only full…read moreservice spa in town, meaning there is a pool, hot tub, sauna, and steam room, along with showers and all of the appropriate toiletries. We were prompted greeted by Tina and shown around the spa and to our lockers. In the ladies locker room area, there are showers, a sauna, and a steam room. We got there early so we could enjoy the pool and other amenities. Unfortunately, when we arrived there were hotel guests in the pool, including children. That's not all that conducive to relaxing unfortunately so we didn't get in the water at all. Tina also helped us order a lovely lunch from Capitol Grill and took overall very good care of us while we relaxed and waited for our spa appointments. The services: Both of us had nice services but honestly both felt we had had better for various reasons. My esthetician was good and did a very nice job but I had added on a leg scrub. The leg scrub was great but it came At the sacrifice of the hand and wrist massage you might typically get. My friend's service was good but was slow to start and the provider had some clumsiness issues and dropped items on the floor creating loud noises. The only thing that was really "bad" was the temperature of the atrium area/pool and hot tub area. It was HOT in there. It was so warm in there that we just couldn't force ourselves in the hot tub or the sauna/steam room. Tips: 1. there is street parking, which is free on Sundays 2. When you walk in, go closer to the check in desk to the second set of elevators and the spa is on the 6th floor 3. There is cold water and some cold towels in the Gym on the same floor.

The massage session was very relaxing and helped me unwind after a long day. The therapist was…read moreattentive and adjusted the pressure to my needs, especially in the back area. I felt a noticeable improvement afterward. The only small downside was that the room felt slightly cool at times.
