I'm very sorry that the lady above was unhappy with our returns policy.
We understand that people sometimes change their minds about purchases once they get home, and our normal policy - although not required by law - is to provide customers with an exchange or credit note if they decide to return an item that they no longer want. This is a policy that is used by the majority of the independent fashion retailers in Petersfield, and is also being adopted by an ever growing number of high street retailers - Karen Millen, French Connection, All Saints to name but a few.
However, in common with most small independent retailers, we are not generally able to maintain this policy during sale period. Our heavily reduced sale prices mean we simply can't afford to have items out 'on loan' for 5 days while a customer decides whether they really want the item.
Along with the other independent boutiques in Petersfield, we strive to provide our customers with an exciting alternative to the high street. Unfortunately, in order to stay in business and continue to provide customers with this service we simply cannot afford to operate the same returns policy as many large multiples. We hope that most customers understand and accept this.
However, this review is an important reminder that we should do our best to make sure everyone is aware of the policy on returns during our sales period. read more
