What a pompous shop, nice clothes but what a dated approach. The look of the shop can only be described as "Grace Brothers" both inside and out, but its the poor service that really got me to write this review. After venturing in, I was pounced on by a man who I later deduced was the manager who would not leave me alone. I tried to browse but to no avail. I tried a jacket, which was lovely but out of my price range but he would not have that as the end of it. I left soon after feeling rather put off by the whole experience. Never visited a store like this. On entering the store I was pleasantly greeted by a young man with a great smile and a good morning welcome. Shortly afterwards he said, please take your time to look around the store and let any of us know (meaning himself and his members of staff) if we are able to assist you further. I enjoyed looking around the store and viewed many different menswear brands from the commercial high street brands such as (Ralph Lauren, Eton, Cheaney and Hackett) to the unknown family brands such as (Canali, Eduard Dressler, Giordano, Stemar and Oscar) and with such a great selection of choice in all departments in tailoring and casual wear. If you may need it a personal shopping experience is offered at no charge to do so, so if you need a new outfit from head to toe they will make sure you look great and make heads turn. Although I did not purchase anything on this first occasion I will most certainly be going back to do so in the near future and would recommend anyone to take a look for themselves. I have purchased all of my business suits at Wier Rhodes for the past 17 years. The staff are great and the service is first rate! I recently purchased two Canali suits and one of the new jackets was ripped in an accident at home. The Jacket could not be repaired. Weir Rhodes was great in providing information about the jacket to the insurance company. Not only did the insurance company give me the full replacement value, Weir Rhodes had a replacement in for me within a week of ordering it. Anyway, me and my now son-in-law got suited and booted by Weir Rhodes for my wedding, and i must say the serice was superb, nothing was too much trouble, and we always felt totally understood and never pressured. We had 2 fittings and adjustments before THEY were satisfied we had the perfect fit. And of course the suits felt and looked amazing; and good value for the money, i think. Yes, they of course cater for the higher end, but you do get a whole new level of quality of clothing, esp the suits. We went to other nearby so-called upper end outfitters Austin Reed, House of Fraser, etc. but nothing even went close to what we finally ended up with at Weir Rhodes. Highly recommended. BG read more
