The selection available to try was a bit overwhelming but staff was so very good at helping narrow down what looks good on YOU! Staff took the time, if you were a novice like me, to show you how to put it on correctly. If I decide to buy another wig, it will be at Mimi's. read more

I visited Mimi's today because my hair has been thinning due to thyroid issues. We have a family wedding coming up and I was considering the purchase of a wig. I was so pleased with the selection, the service, the quality and the way I was treated. I was not pushed into making a purchase and wasn't rushed. Love the wig I chose! Highly recommend Mimi's! Make an appointment and you won't be disappointed, I promise! read more

Too expensive Not a variety of wigs to choose from. Spent $500 and not happy and unable to return

Great place to buy quality wigs. Large selection. Girls are very helpful . When I need a wig this is my place to go.

Don't Give Up! Go To Mimi's! I gave up. My hair was falling out, thin, and looked terrible. My self esteem took a nose dive. I was embarrassed at work. I learned about wigs on YouTube by accident. Went to a wig place and was unimpressed by the lack of integrity. Found Mimi's Wig Boutique on YouTube, made an appointment and left happy and impressed with their customer service and professionalism. Bought two wigs and they picked out great ones to fit my face and head. They made it easy and most of all, they know their stuff! Thanks to Marcia and Kim! I feel waaay better about myself! Wigs look great! I am a satisfied, happy, PAYING customer. I wrote this on my own. I will only buy my wigs from Mimi's. They are the BEST out there. I know, I looked. So get past the wig-fear and get your self esteem back! read more

I went to Mimi's to get a wig because I have cancer that has metastasized, and I once again am on chemo and losing my hair. I was specific with my sales associate that I wanted a low density, no permatease wig. She showed me a few wigs and I ended up getting one that I asked her about that I had seen online. I pretty much pick out my own wig and did not get much help from the sales associate. I could have done all of this online and saved alot of money. Not too impressed with the service. read more

Everyone is knowledgeable, kind and so helpful! They did a wonderful job helping my friend find a wig that made her not only feel great but look like herself. Wigs are very high quality and styled while u wait. Love these wonderful ladies! read more

Terrible customer service. Everyone that works there acts like they don't want to be there. They are incredibly rude to patrons. Avoid this place at all costs read more

Way over priced!! Bought a wig from this boutique and later saw the same wig for a whole lot less. The wig I went there for (Seville by Noriko) wasn't in their stock so the woman placed the order and told me the price was $232.00. Happy to say I found that wig for $139 at another boutique. Beware of price gouging! Research, Research before going here. read more

I was disappointed in my visit to Mimi's Wigs. The person who waited on me was not a warm and friendly person. She went through all the steps of helping me find a wig but she just did not come across as caring. This is why I am giving Mimi's a 3 star rating. I went to LC Wigs later that day and I was treated so much better. The owner at LC Wigs waited on me and it was a wonderful experience. We talked about what kind of wig I wanted and the color I wanted. She pulled about 5 wigs that met my criteria and helped me to try them on. For some of them my color was not in stock. then she found other wigs from that manufacturer in my color for me to try on to make sure I liked the color. The store appeared to have a large selection of wigs in stock but didn't have a lot in the style I was looking for. I found one wig that I considered a "maybe". read more

Margie helped me & she was awesome. Had all kinds of suggestions, etc. A great place for hair pieces & wigs and the prices were great.

Took my MIL to get a wig, she is losing hair due to chemo, the ladies here are soooo helpful. They understand why you're there, supportive and made my MIL comfortable with the idea of wearing a wig. We had the option of having a wig from another store covered by insurance, but the quality of the wig we got from Mimi's brought us back to pay for the wig that she will wear everyday. And speaking about it a few weeks later, she loves it, she wears it more than she thought she would, she says it not that uncomfortable! Thank you so much ladies! I really appreciate your knowledge and understating as she goes through this tough transition. read more

I'm not qualified to rate the store in comparison to any others. My wife had cancer and she needed a hair, prosthesis, a.k.a. wig. But it's my late wife and I were pleased with the service and the quality of the wig. read more

Never having worn a wig before I was loaded with questions. I ended up being helped by Misty. What an education I received. She was so tolerant in addressing every question I had and even enlightened me with answers to questions I never asked. I left there that day but returned several days later convinced this was the shop I needed, Called in advance to secure an appointment with Misty, fortunately for me she was free in the afternoon, Fully armed with a few more questions that were fully answered I decided to go for it. Couldn't be happier. My wig makes me feel I'm a new person. This is the place. read more

Great customer service and out of this world selection! Would go back in a heart beat

I decided for the first time in many years to get a wig for days when I need to have my hair looking at least okay but I don't have the energy for it. I was advised by a friend that they had a good inventory and knowledgeable employees. I was not disappointed. The salesperson was very helpful, answered all my questions and found just what I needed. I expect to go back for another wig before long. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. After a lot of trepidation about going and buying synthetic hair, I decided on Mimi's because it was close to my house and had decent reviews. I walked in about 1pm on a Saturday afternoon. They had a customer already being fitted for a wig so I decided to look around their boutique area. A sales lady immediately came up to me and seemed quite irritated that I was there. It made me wonder if it was "appointment only" but it wasn't...and it was before COVID. She hurriedly asked me what I wanted and I enquired about a hair topper and not a wig. She then rolled her eyes and said, "NO. We do not have those." as she is LITERALLY ushering me to the door! At the door, I squeezed in only one of my many questions I wanted to ask--"Do you know of any places that do sell hair toppers?" She harshly replied "No." then opened the door for me to leave. As I was essentially kicked out I thought to myself I was glad I didn't want to purchase anything from their boutique! Now, I am a 55 year old woman who was looking for fake hair for my thinning head so I wasn't feeling so epic about myself. One would think that someone who worked in the wig industry would know that there is a huge psychological element here and would show some shred of kindness toward an obvious newbie. I got a little teary eyed driving away and ended up buying a topper online. I will never step foot in this store again and will NEVER recommend them. Sadly, for them, I have numerous friends who are in need of wigs now and will refer them elsewhere. Looking at their online pictures, it looks like the saleswoman was the owner read more

I went into Mimi's Wigs to look into getting a wig for performances (I'm a musician) for those times when my hair is not cooperating. I didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised at how normal the whole experience was. The attendants there are wonderful. They put me at ease and told me to look at all the wigs on display, to pick my favorite ones, and they would help me try them on. The wigs they have on display often come in many different hair shades. I ended up liking two different wigs so I bought them both. One wig was $200 and the other was around $190. My partner also bought a wig and her's was about $180. In all, we spent a little over $600. Before we left, I had them trim the bangs on one of my wigs and it made a huge difference regarding my comfort level. They said wig trimming is free anytime I need to come in and have an adjustment made. Finally, after we left Mimi's wigs, my partner and I went shopping at Northpark Mall to try our wigs out on the general public. The wigs must have helped us with our image because we feel like we were given better service at various shops and we think it might be because our new wigs make us look more "maintained." If you are thinking about getting a wig, Mimi's Wigs is a comfortable place with kind salespeople.. Yes, a wig is an investment but honestly, I've spent more on a single hair salon experience than I did for one wig. All in all, we are new wig converts and will continue to buy our wigs from Mimi's Wigs. read more

My mother was diagnosed with cancer and was in need of a wig. She was the first in our family and circle of friends to ever need a wig so we were at a loss as to where to go. I googled wigs and Mimi's immediately came up first and after reading their website, I was put at ease by the sheer amount of information and knowledge I received. When you are totally in the dark about the situation you are in and don't know the first thing about what you are doing, it is a blessing to find a business that is more concerned about educating people about wigs than "selling" them on their website. I made a list of about 4 different wig stores and loaded up my mother and my niece and we set out early Tuesday. We picked Mimi's first because it frankly looked like they had been around the longest and were most impressive at first glance. When we got there and walked in the door it was completely overwhelming, but not in a bad way. By my estimation there were probably well over 100 different styles on the walls in a variety of colors. The lady that greeted us explained what we needed to keep in mind and gave us the opportunity to pick out the things that my mother wanted to try on without standing over us and making us feel like we were being rushed. Needless to say, what started out as a bleak and overwhelming task turned out to be a blessing. We all talked and even laughed as every one of them took the time to make us feel at ease and answer all of our questions. All in all I would say we were there well over 2 hours. They even cut the wig on my mother and styled it to fit her just like her own hair! She found everything she needed and even bought some cute hats to wear also. Needless to say it was our first and ONLY stop! I read the negative review and frankly was shocked as I can't imagine the employees I met (3 of them as well) could ever be as rude as that. I have NOTHING but positive to say about our experience and would recommend ANYONE that needed a wig to go to Mimi's. I might even go back to find something for myself for fun! :) THANK YOU MIMI'S!!! read more

My first visit and they were fantastic. I was very emotional but they were very kind and took plenty of time to walk me through everything. I'm thrilled with the one I chose, it is the same style that I used to wear. I have had friends comment that it looks very natural. It will take some getting used to, as I've lost so much of my natural hair, it is odd to see a full head of hair! I highly recommend visiting them, even if you are just thinking about getting a wig. They are super helpful and can answer all your questions. read more

I stopped in on a whim and was nervous, never having been to a boutique like this before. I was greeted immediately and offered amazing service. Gently the associate inquired what my needs were and made me feel much more at ease than I had been. She allowed me to choose whatever wigs I was interested in, and then she put them on for me. At no point did I ever feel rushed or pressured. I went from being scared of the idea of needing items from here to almost looking forward to the possibilities available. The help I received here was genuine and caring, and I plan on returning. read more

They took care of my friend's need for a new wig. Price was good and wig is cute. One star off for charging her $60 for washing her other two wigs. That seemed a bit extreme for wash and wear. They keep the door locked, so take your phone and call them when you arrive. read more

Love, love, love Mimi's! I've been in and out of this wonderful boutique for over 25 years and love all of my hair pieces, clothing, and the many accessories I've collected through the years! The staff are all amazing with their customers and they genuinely care about helping each person who walks through their door, no matter the need! I wish we lived closer, but never miss a chance to stop in when we're in the Dallas area! You'll find what you're looking for and will enjoy meeting all the "girls"!! read more

Went there with my daughter to see about a wig didn't know much about wigs but the sales lady Marcie was very helpful in showing us what she thought would look best and then we pick out some and had a good laugh on how some looked on me. I have always worn my hair very short and now that I am going through chemo all my hair is coming out. I didn't buy a wig today because I wanted to think about if that was what I really wanted or not, I did buy a cute hat and a turban. I would recommend Mimi's to anyone looking for wigs are hats they have a great collection to pick from and the people are so helpful and do not pressure you into buying something if you are not sure. Love this place I will be back if not for a wig the hats for sure. read more

Came here to find a short pixie cut wig for a custom, their selection of short wigs is not so impressive, I eventually found one, very very cheap and fake looking and paid approx 30$ I personally thought it's outrageous for this type of cheap wig, if your looking to buy a wig as part of a custom, maybe it's better to go ahead and look at eBay or amazon for cheaper alternatives. read more

After seeing Mimi's Wig Boutique on YouTube I knew I had to check it out. Fortunately even though I live in South Carolina, I have family living in the Dallas area. On a recent trip there I called and made an appointment for a consultation. So happy to report it was everything I thought it would be. Super friendly and caring staff. Their new store is spacious and lovely. The stylist helping me was Marcia. (I very rarely meet someone with my same name spelled my way!) She asked about my situation (alopecia) and quickly went about gathering lots of wigs for me to try out. They have a huge inventory so it was wonderful to be able to try on different styles, colors, and brands. The whole experience helped me to see what brands fit me well. There was no pressure to make a purchase. I did, however, walk out with two new wigs that I know I will love wearing. I would never have chosen either of the styles from looking at them online! I have grown weary of ordering from online retailers and having to send back what I don't want. Being able to see, feel, and try-on beforehand was great! I would highly recommend going in for a consultation or even shopping with them online. Thanks for a great experience! read more

Returned today for my second purchase! Kim communicated with me and ordered a wig for me that was just like the one I bought last summer. However, there was NO fee to special order and NO pressure to buy that wig. She also didn't make me feel rushed like some salons do. I was able to take my time and try on anything I wanted. She also had several ideas of other wigs for me to try once she got an idea of what I liked. This is a very friendly place. If you are anxious about your first purchase, you will feel such love here. They make the scary process of a first wig purchase SO much easier! While I was there, other customers came in and I was able to observe how Kim and the stylist (I'm sorry I can't remember her name, but she works magic with scissors!) interacted with them. One potential customer was reluctant about a purchase. After letting her know that purchases were final (health reasons) and then wrote down the name and color of the wig she liked best so that she could go home and think about it! read more

I came here after having a terrible experience at a wig place in Lewisville. I am starting a new bout of chemo and need a wig. Not only did they spend a lot of time to find the best match for me at a reasonable price, Marcie (spelling?) also tried to fix the wig that Lewisville chopped the heck out of. She made it wearable for no charge. Wish I had come here first. read more

These gals are wonderful. I was at a total loss on what type of wig or color. They gently led me through selecting a style of wig within minutes I had 3or4 that I like and look beautiful on me. Thank you so much.. as recent two time cancer survivor I am slow at reaching a decision but I will be back. read more

I asked questions on facebook and got replies and they even ordered the wig I was interested in for me to try on. I love dit and purchased it. Not rushed at all they let you take all the time you want to decide. As others mentioned you can go back anytime and they will trim the bangs shorter or make adjustments that can be made to the wig. Everyone is friendly and will give their opinions if you ask. I love my Emilia wig by Jon Renau. read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about Mimi's. After terrible experiences trying to find my mother a wig before her chemo-induced hair loss, Mimi's was a breath of fresh air. The staff was wonderfully patient, kind, and helpful. They were warm and gave my mother some wonderful tips, taking plenty of time to make sure she was happy and comfortable. The wigs were beautiful, and there was no pressure to purchase or to make a hasty decision...quite the opposite! Mimi's was far more concerned with my mother's well-being than with making the sale, which was very much appreciated. After visiting two other stores, we came back to purchase my mother's wig along with a few hats and some beautiful scarves. If you're looking for a helping hand with a great selection and impeccable service, Mimi's is the place! read more

I took my mom shopping for a new wig for her birthday and this was the first time wig shopping for both of us. The women working there were extremely rude and had no idea I would have to spend between $200 to $400 when you can buy them online for 1/3 of this. Will never walk back in. read more
