The atmosphere is dark(lighting), and depressing. Any woman who walks in the door will be hounded by a bunch of out of work roofers and has-been bikers(and they get violent as the night gets on). I've been to the bar about 10 times, each with friends. Even though I walked in with my male friends, I was still eyed up like a piece of meat, and had drunk-out-of-their-mind guys mumble at me. I've had a few different bartenders, and they vary greatly. The best one is a 30something blonde (maybe the manager?). She is pleasant and professional. Keeps the drinks coming and doesn't mess them up. On the opposite end of the spectrum is a classless young "person" dressed like she's ready to get to work walking up and down Euclid Ave. Asking her for a drink seems to offend her, and it's just about useless anyhow because she can't mix anything more complicated than Jack and Coke. OH, she'll try to rip you off too. Ask for a mixed drink and she automatically throws top shelf booze in without even asking, and then tries to scam on the change she gives(it's happened 3 times to me, count what she gives you!) Worst of all, this place charges prices like it's a hit club downtown. There's no shortage of bars in the neighborhood, no need to waste your time or money here.
