I really appreciate that they gave me different options on ways to save money on parts (OEM vs aftermarket) for my repair since I was a cash paying customer. I got a quote from Caliber Collision and the price difference was shocking! As it turns out Milstead is a much better equipped body shop because they had the technicians and equipment on hand and did not need to hire anyone out to do recalibrations for the sensors on my bumper which that alone saved me $400-600. To top it off they offered a courtesy car wash and interior vacuum which I wasn't at all expecting. Thank you Milstead for going totally out of your way to serve your customer. Terrible service.... They held my car there since January 30th, and come February 14th it was still not fixed!! I had to constantly call them for updates otherwise I wouldn't know anything.. These people gave me the run around for 2 weeks. I was so polite, so patient because I know the world doesn't revolve around me.. but when I say I feel like these people in the office and no sense of urgency when it came to fixing my car.... I ended up having to pay them for a tow, and then getting my car towed to a different mechanic shop simply because Milstead collision couldn't even provide me with a date my car would be done... 2 weeks with no updates waiting on parts... these people were extremely unprofessional and did not care to lose business... I felt like the manager PG, was trying to help me but everyone else could've cared less read more

This guy is a total scammer, not only did he charge me $8500 for a paint job, he told me that he doesn't make any profit in this thinking I'm an iddiot and paint and a painter cost a lot less that $8500, every body knows that, on top of that he charged me over $1000 for a windshield when the dealer charges $700 and they will tell you up front they make a nice profit margin to be able to cover the costs of there dealership. My rear wiper assembly was ripped off at a local car wash. I was sent to Milstead for the repair. When I got there they were very kind and took care of everything including dealing with the car wash. They ordered the part and let me know when it was in. I made an appointment and it literally took them under 10 minutes to fix it. Had some body work done for an unusual rubbing issue and I was surprised to the extent they were able to 'straighten' the body with a special machine they have. They did an excellent job car was not up to par as far being clean and a battery issue when I picked up. They did a great job fixing my BMW X2. I had been hit by sheet metal debris on I-45 and it left bad scrapes on my front bumper and down the side of my car. Milstead Collision made my car look brand new again and they used OEM parts. They were very easy to work with and took care of the entire process with the insurance company. They were great about calling and giving me updates on the timeline and had the job done when they said they would. Welcome to 2017! My wife and I were trying to be safe this evening by taking and picking up our 16 year old daughter from her event this evening. On our way home there were three tow truck that flew by us near the Kroger store on Rayford. They were all clearly exceeding the posted speed limit and driving in a wreckless manner. All of this for them to get a tow. This puts lives in danger. When we approached the accident I asked the driver why he had to drive like an idiot in order to get to the accident. He told me not to worry about it. He was a first responder. Then all three tow truck drivers approached my car in a threatening manner and we drove off. It's ridiculous to think that it's more important for a wrecker driver to drive like a bat out of hell to get to a wreck and be offended when someone says something. I have been a Milstead customer for the past 18 years. I have always recommended Milstead as a local mechanic in the area. With my experience tonight, it will never happen again. I will no longer give my money or recommend Milstead to anyone moving forward. It is clear that there is no supervision on how these wrecker drivers operate putting the safety of our community first. read more

WOW! I am blown away by Milstead Collision and their fantastic work, honesty, and dedication to doing the right thing, including undoing the wrong created by others. My car's bottom panel was damaged by a car wash and required a new panel. It was determined that my car had previous repair work done and the panel could not be properly attached, so Milstead corrected the situation and repainted. They made me feel comfortable and assisted wherever possible. Beautiful job! After such great treatment, I won't go to anyone else, even if I have to drive across town. THANK YOU MILSTEAD COLLISION! OVERSPRAY PAINT !!! On my 2018 Ford Raptor a $80,000.00 plus vehicle !!! I just took it just to exchange the front bumper it took about 5 days for that. I told the manager specifically to keep my vehicle away from the paint booth ans he assured me not to worry he knows what they're doing there. When I recieved it it looked decent. They have washed it with a dirty cloth. The windows and mirrors looked extremely foggy that didn't help me to drive at night and see the overspray until I cleaned the windows and mirrors from inside and out then bad surprise it has overspray paint all over the vehicle. I called the manager right after I saw the overspray paint all over the vehicle. I can't believe what the manager told me. He said to me "Mr.Ruiz I'm no longer gonna touch your vehicle or do business with you" and I told him "Obviously I don't want that but what are you going to do about all the overspray paint you basically ruined my windows, paint, and plastics of my new vehicle. When I touch it it feels almost like sandpaper and again he said "I'm not touching your vehicle Mr.Ruiz deal with it!". I've been in the body work business before and other automotive related jobs only. My point is this is NOT a good place to take your car. I'm extremely upset. They are sloppy and not professional. They used the bed for my Raptor as a trash can. The broken parts from the other vehicles they just through it in there. Worse place I have deal with. read more

Milstead Collision took care of repairing my station wagon after I had gotten rear ended. The work was done quickly and I can't tell a difference between what was repaired and what is original. Michael was quick to respond to any questions I had and kept me informed of the progress. As usual, the insurance company paying the bill underestimated the amount of repairs that would be necessary, but Milstead was ready and prepared to submit the documentation to get additional authorization to make all repairs necessary. These guys have their act together for the most part. I had my vehicle towed here by their towing service and the driver took perfect care of me and my car very well. His professionalism and courtesy were commendable. The collision center did a good job as well, but an aftermarket product failed only a little after 1 month. But their new collision center manager (Joe Firpo) made it right by putting me in a free rental and replacing the parts for free, labor was also free. He even reimbursed me the diagnostic fee from the dealership. In all, Milstead Collision is great and I'd take my vehicle there again. read more

Milstead Collision recently repaired a finder bender on a Mustang. I went with Milstead because I thought it may have been a bit more reputable then the other estimates I received.... I guess I was wrong. The repair actually cost over 27% more then the estimate which seems way off for a simple fender bender! looking back on the other estimates, I can't help but thinking Milstead lowballed my estimate to get the work. I'm upset with them and would recommend you look elsewhere for your repair. read more

The worst service in the area. Recently I went to Millstead for oil change and brake pads check. I was told by Karl Kirkpatrick that oil change can be done right know, but I would have to wait longer for the brakes. I was also informed, that the price for the brake pads check is $45 and this amount will be applied towards the brake repair. Since I had to go to the airport, I decided to leave the car. I also left my cell ph number and Karl told me that he gives me a call when the car will be ready. I dropped the car around 10.20 AM and I was waiting until 4 PM for the phone call. Since Karl did not call me, I decided to give him a call. I was informed, that my car was just taken by the technician, and someone will call me in 30 min. I was waiting additional hour and once again, I decided to call Karl. I was informed that I need to replace four brake pads and fluid. The quote for the repair was over $600. I decided to come to the service dept. and talk to Karl about the repair. When I came, my car was not ready yet and I had to wait for the oil change additional 20 min! Knowing that the service is open until 6 PM, I asked Karl if the brake repair will be done the same day (since I left my car early morning I was expecting that it will be fixed). He said that this is not possible. I asked about the $45 that he said he will apply for the brake repair and he informed me that I will be able to use the money only if the repair is done the same day! I asked him if I can come next day and use that money.He said no. The only advice he gave me was to leave my car overnight, which I was not able to do because I had to go to work. In addition, I asked if I can get the copy of the quote and he also said no. I am confident that he knew that he is overcharging me. In addition, he was waiting until the last moment knowing that I will not be able to use that money. I sent an e-mail to Mr. Orsack describing the whole situation, but I did not receive any response. Millstead is a member of BBB and they have A rating only because they resolved all the complains. Probably if I would report my issue there, they would try to resolve this situation. Otherwise, they just do not care. I went to different place to repair my car and I paid for the pads and fluid $210. Ultimately, I was happy that I did not repair my car in the Millstead, because they would charge me $600. My advice, DO NOT USE MILLSTEAD. read more
