This gift shop has regular open hours on weekends and weekdays. Check their hours. I loved peeking into the individual artists studios, most of the artists were present for this open studio event. Meeting and asking about pieces is special. I went back later in the week to purchase a small gift. Wonderful items and selection and prices were reasonable. Today ( this weekend) is a special one with a holiday art market. Lots to see. Most of the artists were in their studios with some giving demos of their work. We were a small group & spent several hours visiting . I was so inspired! We did a short coffee break at the lovely place across from The Loading Dock gallery. The coffee fresh & excellent. There was also a food truck outside that looked interesting . Im looking at returning on the next, " first Saturday" because there's just so much to see!

She…read moreshowed me all the different kinds of things she makes in her studio - it's filled with lovely plates and bowls and pieces for jewelry. She then explained the different kinds of glass, showed me how to cut glass, and answered all of my MANY questions. With her help, I assembled what will become a glass bowl - a sheet of clear glass with colored glass placed on top of it in a pattern - she has LOTS of different kinds and colors of glass. Then I placed another sheet of clear glass on top. Erica carefully placed it in the kiln where it stayed for 30 hours! She sent me photos of it when it came out - it's a flat solid sheet, and it's gorgeous! Now she'll place it in a mold and put it in the kiln again to heat just enough for it to slump into a bowl shape. I can't wait!

La Cueva Blu was one of my favorite studios that I visited. The two space is shared by two fantastic artist, I think they were husband and wife collaborating their work in one large space. The painting were high end gallery material, and the sculpture that was being worked on by the artist would look just awesome in any home including mine. The energy level inside this studio and the amount if creativity here, is a must to check out by all visitors. I saw they also hold classes, one more reason to come back to this fantastic artist studios.

While visiting Massachusetts I was looking for something a place to explore. I saw that they had…read moreopen artist studios in Lowell. Not being far from the textile factory converted to artist studios I decided why not check it out! There are five floors of all kinds of artists, all with very different work. The one artist who caught my attention was Ceramics by Nooshin. She had so many handmade ceramics to look at. All of the colors she used caught my attention (a very welcoming sight). There was a large display of assorted of life sized handmade ceramic flowers and leaves displayed in vases that really caught my eye. I had a chance to speak to her and she let me know they are called the flowers that never wilt! I'm a huge fan of flowers and floral art pieces. I'm always looking for unique gifts (I'm actually trying to become a better gift giver, instead of the typical gift card) and I had a wedding coming up in California. She said she could easily ship them to me. Perfect! I was very happy to have found such a nice gift for my friend. If you're in the area, definitely take advantage of the ceramic classes she offers. I wish I lived closer so I could do the same. Overall, Ceramics by Nooshin is definitely worth checking out for a unique gifts, something for yourself or a ceramics class!
