So I called the other A1 and had another company to come out just to confirm I was getting ripped off.

He charged me over $1k on two aftermarket parts for an ice maker which he never got working and then ghosted us when we tried to get him to fix it. He never really knew what was wrong with it. Just kept replacing parts. We got a "real" repairman and was told about the aftermarket parts. When I asked for a refund, he said he would and then never did. Let it be known that my dishwasher is 2 years old and my first question was - "are you experienced with thermador appliances?" Wayne assured me that he was. I let Wayne know that I needed a new control board for my dishwasher, of course he said he needed to come out and check and couldn't order the part until he verified the problem. My husband called back to schedule the service. He gave us a time slot on a Friday. (From 2-6pm). At 5:45 we called to find out his whereabouts. He said he would be there. At 6pm we called to cancel and he said he was 20 mins away. He finally showed up at 7 pm. Let it be know he never called us to notify us that he would be arriving after his timeslot or running late. We waited 5 hours for this guy. When he arrived, he confirmed exactly what I had told him - that we needed a new control board. After a few minutes of googling on his phone, he said the part was not available, he couldn't help us and then asked how we would be paying the $75 service call. I told Wayne the part was still available through Thermador. He started backtracking and said he could get the part but would need to wait until Monday. After hearing nothing on Monday, I called Tuesday and left a voicemail. No answer, No return call. I called again on Wednesday, again no answer- no return call. I called Thermador myself and ordered the part for $130. Do not waste your time or money with this company - completely unprofessional and a waste of time - not to mention the fact that they are also thieves.

Matt Hunt has serviced several of our appliances (washer, dryer, fridge, a/c & heat) for near ten…read moreyears. Always just a text or phone call away with a quick reply. He'll ask if it's an emergency, if it needs taking care of today or can he slip us in later in the week. More than once he's walked me through the steps to either reset or further diagnose the problem. Recently the heater went out and I was tired of messing with the company we'd originally purchased and had install the 5 ton 16 SEER Trane (nothing can stop a Trane right ... well until it just conks out four months after the 10 year warranty expires) unit. In the past Matt had suggested we call the original seller/installer or someone licensed to service Trane. Now this event came round and I refused to deal with the blankety blank company, so the husband called a company in Arlington. The service call went excellently, the office staff calling in to alert me of the expected timeline for the service agent. The service agent was kind, courteous and thorough. He even called a senior skilled person getting confirmation of the diagnosis to ensure all was correct. I'd highly recommend that company. However, I wanted a second opinion from someone I trusted. Matt agreed to come over and examine our system. By this time we'd been without heat for a week and thankfully the cold was gone for a few days. After about an hour Matt came back in and walked me through the problems and why we had no heat and eventually no cooling too. We went outside and he showed me the problem with the outside unit, I declined to climb into the attic ... I'd take his word on that part. I explained about the estimate from the Arlington based company, and he went through it. He told me that the estimate of work and the pricing from said company was fair and about what he'd expected for a replacement Trane system. I then asked him what would he do if he were to install a new unit. He explained, then came up with a price for a different brand (same as what he put in his moma's house), same tonnage and SEER. A bit over a week later Matt and his crew showed up early one morning, pulled out the old stuff and installed all new. By lunchtime they'd cleaned up the place, loaded up the old stuff into the back of their vehicles and were on their way out. Why'd I go with Matt Hunt? Because he told us the Arlington company quoted a fair price for the labor and materials. Because he's worked on our appliances for ten'ish years. He's local. He quickly connects when I reach out to him. He'll take care of us (the appliances). His way of doing business speaks of integrity.
