I went here a while back. I specifically told the optometrist I didn't want my eyes dilated--I just…read morewanted a check-up. I am severely near-sighted (-8.5) & when the doc looked into my eyes, he demanded my eyes be dilated because a part of my eye was so thin, he said I might have to have emergency surgery to fix it that day. After he dilated my eyes & said the thin part wasn't disconnected, the clinic happily charged me for the check-up & the dilation, which was well over $200 (I am a student--I don't have a lot of money). On top of that, the doc freaked me out because no other optometrist I'd seen had ever had such an alarming response to the shape of my eyes (I have seen optometrists fairly regularly for nearly 30 years). I later went to another optometrist in town who said that part of my eye was thin because I was so near-sighted and it was nothing to worry about. I left the Stillwater Vision Clinic feeling like I'd been cheated out of money & scared that my eyes were going to fail me. I have not since and will never return to this place.

Despite being very close to the university I had no trouble driving there or parking. There is a private lot with generous parking spaces. I was completely blind in my left eye from a cataract. Dr. Drummond did an amazing job removing it…read more Of course since I waited too long to get the cataract removed, there was too much pressure building up in that eye. When he did the procedure to remove it, the cataract did not respond like other cataracts. He knew exactly what to do to take care of me. He did an amazing job. It was So smooth. I had 20/20 vision before the cataract and my vision returned to 20/20 after 3 months. I praise God for bringing Dr. Drummond and his staff across my path! YES I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!

very much a college town vibe. in a care-free.... careless way. i asked specific questions about…read morepotential treatments, and was given very passive answers. i also was not offered any follow up for suggestions or potential prescriptions for eye drops. which is kind of disappointing. and is something i would like help with. (this furthers my theory of, just google it and people with personal experience..) my eyes were dilated to much. i went here once before. the tech who did my dilation drops noted my RX and realized to be careful. the tech i had over-dilated my eyes, i feel. i was debilitated to the point i had to go home and not return to work. this was really surprising as i've never had such a strong reaction. the people at the back desk to check out, made me question the level of employee treatment quality. the new person was training and the trainer seemed a bit testy... nothing painfully noticeable but the trainee was definitely nervous and just needed proper support. the selection of frames on a budget were even insanely priced. i suppose thats to be expected. i'm honestly really becoming irked out the more and more stillwater medical center keeps monopolizing and buying out all of the medical providers across the state. its getting creepy. i really want to give this place a chance, but to many icks were hit. and this being my second visit, i dont think i'll return. in the end, i felt rather dismissed, and forgotten as quickly as my exam was done. im a bit disappointed with my overall experience. i had a pleasant interpersonal experience, here and there. yes. with my tech and my dr. but the overall i felt dismissed. which is incredibly troubling.
