I had plans to stay at the nearby General Dick Stout Field, but after being turned away, I quickly called Million Air, and they were more than happy to accommodate me on the ramp. Keep in mind that this was during a busy Labor Day weekend. But the lady on the phone and the ramp guy and staff were all incredibly nice! I fly a single engine piston aircraft, and though it was hot and density altitude could be a concern, the airport runway is more than long enough to compensate. The taxiway and ramp were all well paved and maintained as well.
As for the actual fbo, like I said, the staff was great. I was marshalled to my tie down spot and locked up my plane. The actual FBO is under construction at the time of writing this, so I can only comment on the small temp building they are operating out of currently. It was still comfortable and nice, with plenty of place to sit and lounge. The snacks and many deink options (water and several kinds of soda) were complimentary for pilots as well, which is always a great bonus and luxury for us cross country fliers! The fbo does offer full serve, but I chose to get self-serve fuel, which did waive any ramp or tie down fee! It also helps that their fuel prices were the cheapest in the immediate area compared to the serval other satellite airports nearby. All in all, it was a great stay, and when I come back, you can bet I'll fly here again to feel like a millionaire! read more
