What a fun place to spend a weekend afternoon!…read more We were looking for a big garden center to help us get inspired to rehab our backyard. This was the greatest place to come - they have a good selection of plants, planters, and materials. I have never seen such a big pansy selection in my life. I absolutely love pansies and had the best time picking out flowers for my flat. Prices are not unreasonable, but it is expensive. It's a great place to come and get inspired and do a light plant haul, but I'll probably save the really big purchases for more affordable garden center. With that being said, you do get what you pay for - and The Farm adds warranties to many of the pricier bushes and trees. If you're looking to outfit your backyard or you enjoy gardening, you have to make a trip to this destination garden center.

what a splendid visit we had! We came on a weekday so it really wasnt so busy. The place is huuuuge…read moreso we spent a good amount of time there and enjoyed every minute lol the plants are really well taken care of and so beautiful! they also have "rare" tropical plants there such as their variegated monsteras which were all so pretty! anyway, We visited before thanksgiving and there were already christmas decors. We loved the holiday vibes and took so many pictures. Honestly every corner is a photo spot! it was that pretty! the staff were very pleasant as well which i appreciated! aside from plants they have gift items, home decors or holiday things. the even have pretty peacocks and a curious hen the day we visited lol so cute! Now if they only had an espresso/coffee shop this would be even more perfect! lol

I've been her before and that's why I returned. We patronize places that treat us well, respect us…read moreas patrons with a dash of pleasantry and a whole hell a lot of integrity and quality service products. See my prior reviews about Halls (once before) and Al my reviews. That's why we come to Yelp. Reliable reviews about reliable places. .Eileen this time was the hard working knowledgeable accommodating plant-ist! Who has ever been to Java and Bali? Well - she has! Came up when I got another Javanese plant like the one I got last time. Last time I got plants for my modest apartment but this time got four times the number of plants. I believe I wore her out because I bought a lot of plants for my office space at work (a lot for me, Mr. Brown Thumb but following Alison's tips I'm getting better at preserving greenery in my life) and I asked they all be potted into great new ceramic pots! It was a hard work out for her that I hadn't intended but she never batted a sigh. Thank you!! Then one of the cheerful blokes that worked there helped me Hall out the plants to my car. (see what I did!) That's when a moment of poignancy via life affirming sadness sprouted out of our chit chat. Tristesse. As we casually compared forearm scars, telling out stories behind our marks that surviving life bring, this came up. His were from a motorcycle spill and I immediately remarked how I walked 800 miles during lockdown and often by Halls' from Summit and not a 1/2 mile down the street from Halls' was a affectionately tended testimonial to a local rider who lost his life out on his bike years ago at that spot. My Halls Helper winced then smiled. He knew the lost rider and had ridden with him a few times. He knew the man, the tragedy and the graveside memorial. He missed him. As I rode by after my car was plant-packed, I cast an eye at that spot and there, in the shining spring sun were brand newly sprouted yellow tulips and an American flag. The rider lives on. God bless Halls Garden Center, its fine American men and women and that brother rider I never knew who was lost too soon but is preserved in memory with that international sign of life and remembrance: plants and flowers and flora freely waving in the breeze. Get to Halls and stop just reading my raves! In a country occasionally fragmented and fractured and allegedly untethered by a lack of brotherhood, of sorority, of kindness, of patient grace and credible integrity, here's a place that's right on time every time you walk into her Hallowed Halls. The secret life of plants ain't no secret: it's all around us. And get the plants from Java!

The staff are very helpful. They took their time giving me tips on my garden and house plant needs.read more

I was not satisfied with the selection so I decided to grab some fresh fruits for my blender instead. As I was checking out I noticed there was a sign that said "$10 minimum for card", unprompted, I picked up a bag of the most expensive spinach I could find in the fridge just to make the minimum. The woman behind the counter said "that won't make it okay!!" Then went to the fridge to seek a more expensive bag, only to find that was the biggest one. She came back and tossed it towards me, it rung up $9.77. She proceeded to go into a diatribe in a tone I did not appreciate exclaiming, " it would help if you carried cash on you! I get charged a fortune every time you use credit!" I said I don't like carrying cash on me and that I was sorry. Mind you this was TWENTY THREE CENTS under ten bucks and the customer in front of me just used a card (why is this even offered as a service if she is so vehemently against the use of card?). She then proceeded to chastise me further about this as my card processed. I immediately wished I was back in Brooklyn where the black owned businesses and immigrant upstarts are always grateful to their customers and use the simple square service for cards that can be utilized on any iPad or iPhone. All I wanted was some flowers and was already feeling sad about my grandfathers birthday and him not being here to celebrate. For all the locals, go to Wightman's farms as their produce is always very fresh and they seem to be very friendly towards customers. I have been in restaurants where the customer service was lousy and the product was good, but at this farm stand was not even of high quality product, I bought some blueberries that looked good but after a handful they were all rotten and looked to be from the dregs of the season. I will never again support such lousy customer service, perhaps treating a customer with an ounce of respect was too much to ask. I didn't bust my rear end to spend my hard earned dollar to a service that doesn't appreciate my business. Arrivederci crane farms !!.
