My husband and I had been introduced to this local business by friends. It is over 2 1/2 hours from our home. We shopped and spent over 700$ in our two trips. The last trip however, we were duped! We purchased items from an upstairs "antique" case from a bottle guy that were from the museum of modern art! We didn't see the very small marking in the very bad lighting until retuning home. We paid $54 total and called and asked to speak with the manager. We explained the way that the items were displayed were "very dubious and misleading!" The manager understood and said it was "unfortunate " to have a problem with this vendor, he was "hard to deal with!" This was a bad time also as they close out the monies to the vendors at the end of the month. This purchase was the end of February. I explained I could not return until mid March for a refund, which she agreed I should receive! She said she would have him, Mr. "Hard to deal with" give her cash for my reimbursement! We returned and to our horror I was given my refund and then told we weren't allowed to shop anywhere in the entire establishment again!!! Are you serious!! I wouldn't of wasted 60$ in gas round trip! I would of went through my credit card company for a fraudulent sale! We had purchased from at least 6 other vendors during our visits. How is it fair to them to not receive our future business!? How is it fair to our friends that introduced us to the business to be tossed out?! What is wrong with the management in this business? How do you not protect your entire umbrella of vendors? This is the first time being a customer I have Ever Been Escorted out of a Business and treated so unprofessionally! I'm not done with this business! I'm going to the BBB, the local newspaper and their local government officials! I was treated with complete disrespect and made to travel 2 1/2 hours to be completely embarrassed in public! They will be very fortunate if I do Not retain an attorney!! I love this place and make sure to stop by every time I'm in the area. I've found incredible pieces here including some really affordable vintage brooches, cute well-priced side tables and wall art. I recommend giving yourself a couple of hours to browse since the store is huge!! You will always find a treasure here!! read more

Really wanted to love this place but the outrageous prices keep me from loving it and giving it 5 stars. So many things i would have bought but as an avid antiquer, hunter and junker i felt prices were just way to high. The last reviewer said the service was terrible i didn't have any issues but then again they didnt say hello or good-bye. A great source for collectors, decorators set designers. LOTS of movie set decorators use the place and its prices are very reasonable compared to other upstate hotspots like Hudson and Kingston. i find several things every time i go, and i try to get there often as I can because the dealers move in new finds each week. read more

Utterly the most awful customer service. Do not go in there expecting smiley helpful faces. One in particular was incredibly rude and stared us down and when asked if there was a problem, the stare got distinctively worse with the most severe body language. I asked why the price was slightly higher than stated and as I'm a foreigner I forgot for a moment sales tax and she looked and sniggered as if I were a total moron. Once the piece was purchased she said, off you go then. Not any help at all. Huge piece. Saw us struggling with the door and she hid around the corner to eat more of her lunch. Terrible. The only thing worse than an overpriced antique shop is an overpriced antique shop with nasty employees. This woman followed us around and asked (it didn't seem much like a question) to hold our stuff in the front. We were not struggling nor did we need or ask for help, she clearly thought we were trying to steal. My wife got very upset at this but did not say anything because she did not want to be rude. We went to check out when we were asked "you know that our credit machines are down,right?" We did not because no one had said anything before we got to the register. I was told there was an ATM about a block away, one 15 minute back and forth trip later (the ATM was most certainly not a block away) I came back ready to pay when I was told the machines were working again. In the meantime I was gone, my wife and her younger sister were waiting inside of the store when they were approached by the same lady who earlier took our stuff. She asked my wife's sister about an item she was walking around with (again insinuating that she was stealing.) My wife then took herself and her younger sister outside to wait because she was furious. If it was not for a very nice looking vintage table we had our hearts set on buying, we would have left and probably would have said some nasty words on our way out. But we did not even though the tone and smug,expectant smile on this woman were enough to warrant a slap. When we got home and reviewed our items we found that a dress that we paid over 50 dollars for has a broken zipper. I wouldn't shop here unless you want to be disappointed. read more
