I've stayed with them multiple times and each time it has been just amazing. They're located in the city of Poulsbo, WA on a working 17 acre farm. It's a private farm that you can pet everything from Pigmy Goats to sheep....to their two wonderful dogs (Hank and Abby). It's very close to downtown historic Poulsbo and easy to find (look for the big sign at the entrance to their property), with a lengthy dirt driveway to their house. Once you arrive, you're usually met by one or both of your hosts...welcoming you to their nice quiet property. Attached are photos from this visit...make sure to give them a try!

In the first 2 minutes of my conversation with the owners, I felt as if we were long term friends. That extended to the time I arrived and quite frankly my entire experience. The room was ultra comfortable with fireplace, separate outdoor egress with wonderful views, coffee maker and cable/internet. I could have breakfast (which was outstanding) anytime I wanted and they were so flexible and friendly. This will be my preferred location whenever I come out - hopefully with my wife who was so jealous when I showed her the pictures.

We now have an outside caterer bringing the food in. I honestly never thought The Son's food was that spectacular. So, changing to another vendor was fine with me. However, they always had the nicest people volunteering their time to serve our group every morning. These are folks that went out of their way to give positive greetings, made sure that they were putting your food on your dish the way you liked it when they were serving from the window, and always offered a friendly chat. I have some friends that have attended Sons of Norway activities, trivia games, community meals, and such. They have really enjoyed them.

We had the entire top floor to ourselves and it was wonderful. You do share a bathroom but it's roomy enough and everything is updated. There's a small sitting area up there and even a "Harry Potter" room tucked away under the eaves. Ken, our innkeeper, accommodated our late check-in and even recommended restaurants in Poulsbo that we could try. We ate at two of his recommendations and they were both excellent. We asked for breakfast to be served at 9AM everyday. It was always ready and delicious. There was always an egg dish, bread or muffins, fruit, yogurt and granola. Our beds were very comfortable and we always had a good night's sleep at the Green Cat. Free wi-fi is available everywhere in the house except in the Green Gable Room where connection was spotty so I would sit in the sitting area outside our room and it was fine. We walked the grounds and met a couple of the cats. It's a very relaxing and calming experience to be here. I would come back in a heartbeat.

Interviewing - conferences rooms you can rent (quite affordably) to use for a more professional setting than a home office. When looking for my next role after a corporate layoff in 2024, the "vibe" of doing my interviews in a more office like setting was a huge benefit for me. 2. Great Vibes - it sounds so cliche, but the founder (Alanna) truly takes pride in cultivating a great space and community that I look forward to spending time and getting work done (now that I've landed a full-time remote role). 3. Any time access - Staffed hours are 8am to 5pm M-F but as a member you're able to get an app with virtual keys for 24/7 access. 4. Outdoor space - Centennial Park is right behind the building and has a walking loop over a small creek along with a few benches when I need to get some fresh air in between Zoom calls. 5. Reciprocity - As an independent coworking spot, you get access to a network called the League of Extraordinary Coworking Spaces (lexc.co) which entitles you to free, full-day coworking passes at any of the LEXC locations, up to 5 times per space, per year. So far I've used this benefit for meetings across the Sound in Seattle, as well as San Francisco and Washington, DC. Bonus points: you get a Vibe discount from the coffee shop downstairs (Chocmo) which has some great food and chocolate to go with the caffeinated beverages :) TL;DR - I would highly encourage anyone to swing by and see the space at Vibe. It turned out to be exactly what I needed when I needed it most while interviewing last year, and has continued to be an even more important space for meeting my need for connection and community to avoid the isolation that can come with remote work.

During our two-week stay in Poulsbo, I had worked a handful of days from my in-laws' house, with some marginal success doing so. However, towards the end of our trip, my wife came across Vibe while on a walk, and I knew I needed to take advantage of a coworking space for my next work day. My last planned work day while I was in town happened to be on the first Friday of August, which is "Free 1st Friday" at Vibe. Though I've experienced a handful of coworking facilities across the country, I was honestly very impressed with this facility, and incredibly pleased with my experience. The space co-exists quite harmoniously with the other retailers and restaurants in the building; evidenced by the fact that Vibe closes an hour early on Friday to head next door to Crabtree for free hors d'oeuvre, networking, and a cash bar; available only to Vibe coworkers! Many coworking facilities are dominated by private offices, leaving the common space without much energy. Vibe's shared space was buzzing with activity, yet there were tons of enclaves and more secluded areas that I could use whenever I needed to break away for whatever reason. I was even able to score a second monitor to use with my laptop, which always helps during a day with a heavy workload. The snacks were many, the amenities were plentiful, and the whole place swarmed with a quiet but energizing productivity. During my 8 hours at the facility, there wasn't a single area available to me that I didn't utilize or explore, including the outdoor space, complete with a beautiful view from the second story deck of the building. I love my coworking space back in my hometown; but Vibe is genuinely impressive, and I will most certainly be back again the next time I'm in town. Alanna, the owner, was remarkably kind; making me feel comfortable, cared for, and right at-home from the moment I came in the door. I could not more highly recommend this place!

It was very hard to rest. We also wouldn't mind if they upgraded or enhanced the interior design a bit. Two chairs and large TV nice too. Beds seemed really firm upon initial sit test but ended up sleeping fine and room seemed fairly quiet even having someone next to us. Really enjoyed the warm breakfast offering. That morning it was self-made waffles, sausage links, mini cheese egg omelettes, various breads and tasty muffins, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cold cereal, juice, milk & coffee. Perfect before checking out and starting your day. Cons: the toilet and tub were together ( separate from sink counter) and in tight quarters, toilet too low and too tight to wall making your elbow hitting the toilet paper roll and awkward to use. Had a dog, nice they accept but charged $60 (no dog treats) if weigh 50lbs+!! Odd they put dog guests next to others without. Offer coffee in the breakfast dining area all day but was barely warm both times we went. Ended up just warming in our room microwave. Should offer more TV channels/cable etc. Other wise would still stay again, probably without the dog.
