They gave me some steroids to help contain the growth and made me me an appointment to come back one week later I called the day before to make sure they received her blood work from her regular vet. They claim they didn't even have her on the schedule, but they would work her in. I get there for her procedure, they want me to sign something that tells me how much it's going to be. It's the same document I had before, except it was supposed to be half the price because I opted out of the bloodwork. My quote was originally $400 approximately, decreased down to $200 because of declining the bloodwork. However, they claim this was a mistake. And actually came back with a larger amount to pay. They were not going to honor the original quote that they gave me. The new quote was going to be anywhere from $370-$620. What a joke. I left. "Sorry" they say. That's the thing about saying sorry. Apparently these days it can get you out of anything.

Today I saw Dr. Dinges, Laurie(vet tech, who's been working with him for decades, and I met Tanner, a nice young assistant. Dr. D gets to the problem and doesn't overcharge to figure it out. He's kind and reasonable. The best!! Highly recommend. Clean clinic.

I spoke to an Animal Clinic regarding a strange feather on my birds wing that needed attention. At…read morefirst they were unavailable but called me back within 5 minutes and gave me an appointment. Plug into google maps and off I go for my hour long drive, pull into this parking lot ... call inside to let them know we were here, but we were at the wrong vet.... OMG. What had I done . The vet I was talking with on the phone advised me where I was is also an avian vet and that they should be able to help me. So I go inside this Vet (Belton Animal Clinic and Exotic Care Ctr) and announced I was in the wrong place but hoped they could help. We had a good chuckle and they got me set up immediately in a room while waiting for the Vet. I couldn't believe they were available. While there the feather corrected itself and they were able to do a wing, nail and beak trim also. The vet tech and Dr Peck were the nicest people that my bird has ever been seen by. I was able to be in the room which made me feel so much more at ease as well as my bird. I can't get over how Great this place is!! It's super clean, the staff has extensive knowledge of birds, they're kind and gentle and the Number 1vet we've experienced in our 20 years together. I highly recommend!!!

BUT was misled on the price and what they were able to provide. I understand there's an issue with the bird flu right now but then I should've been told that!! Their excuses they just started that protocol this week and the front desk staff were not aware. That's a poor excuse and even if that is the case. They should have NOT have charged me for more than I was told!!! Especially since they could not do what I made the appointment for in the first place!!!! I would've not driven 1 hour, stressed myself and my bird out to pay $80 for advice. Shame on you!! !!! I should've never been charged 80$! I put down a $60 deposit because I haven't been there in a while, and I understand that. I was told the exam would be $55. Then they had the nerve after telling me how to go home and do it. I appreciate being educated because this is why I brought my bird to them.. But they don't understanding that I have to now go purchase a tool to do it at home myself. YOU make it hard on people who want to take care of their animals no matter what the economy is throwing at them! I GET IT WE ALL HAVE THINGS GOING ON, BUT I PAID FOR A SERVICE I DID NOT RECEIVE! SHAME, SHAME, SHAME !! You could've done better! You could've educated your staff ! You could've not lied AND THEN STILL CHARGE ME FOR A SERVICE I DIDN'T RECEIVE AND HAVE TO DO MYSELF. I apologize for repeating myself, but I am pissed. This is what big corporate does!! Screw the little man while taking their money! I am so mind blown right now ! I have worked in this industry for a very long time. It makes me sad to say this is a place you should not take your animal.

I was satisfied with this Vet for a few years because we usually see a regular Vet for my animals…read more This was until they just changed Vets without our knowledge. My dog fell off the bed and wasn't walking on his hind legs is why we rushed him to Green Summit. Instead of putting my dog on a stretcher they made my husband walk him into their facility. He was wobbly and fell twice on the hard floor before my husband picked him up and they put them in a room. When we called we informed them of our dogs condition and he couldn't put any pressure on his hind legs. He should have been put on a stretcher from the car to get seen. So the new vet came in (a Man with tats on his head) and they misdiagnosed him with an ACL injury and sent us home with steroids and pain pills. No Xray or tests were done. By that night our dog was completely paralyzed from the chest down. We took him to another vet and they said he definitely had a spinal cord injury. which should have been correctly diagnosed from the beginning. After a week of my doggy paralyzed he was no longer urinating, we called around town to see if we could get him in to release his bladder, and Green Summit was the ONLY one who could get him in. So again we took our dog to this vet. The same vet came in but this time not as a man, but as a woman in a wig and a stuffed bra on. He gave us the most vague answers on what we needed to do, so he referred us to an emergency vet. A $400 bill for them to recommend him to a different vet. We got to the emergency vet and after an hour they came in with horrible news, Diesel couldn't be fixed and was living in pain...we had to put my 6 year old guy to sleep. WHY DID YOU HAVE MY DOG EVEN ATTEMPT TO WALK INTO YOUR FACILITY??? We told you over the phone he had no movement in his back legs. I know he was probably wasn't able to be fixed, but with the right diagnosis maybe he wouldn't have suffered for a whole week

Over a month, we were making daily trips to Green Summit, then every other day, then a weekly visit while we waited for one of her puncture marks to close. Every vet that helped us was so thorough and so kind. Our dog also has Cushing's (which was diagnosed by Dr. Sbisa in 2020) and we wouldn't even consider going someplace else because they know her well and treat her well! I'm so tremendously thankful for Dr. Sirna, Dr, Sbisa, and Dr. Schaeffer- they all had a hand in helping my Winnie get better!
