Other urgent cares I have been to have been lacking in several areas and ended up being a total waste of time and money. I was pleasantly surprised to show up on a Sunday morning to an empty waiting room and was promptly seen! Not once did I feel rushed during my time with staff, who were thorough and informative. Shoutout to my down to earth and thorough Provider and caring medical assistant! All of my concerns were succinctly addressed and resolved- rather than dismissed or glossed over, which is so frustrating! The provider was accessible and friendly and Kate was very sweet. They are a great model for health-care staff in general; the way they treat all patients equally and with compassion as well as their willingness to address all concerns would be roundly welcomed at all hospitals, docs offices, and urgent cares. They even sent me home with supplies and a prescription available right next door at Walgreens. Super convenient setup. A tip: turn into the Walgreens parking lot to get here as that is the only way in.

A few years back I had my wife switch over from her prior doctor to Linda and she agreed that Linda Burke was a much better improvement. The downside is that over the past couple years the office seems to be understaffed. Both me and my wife can rarely get ahold of the front desk during business hours, when we are able to call. Also, this last year has tempted me to try another place as I have been needing a referral for a worsening condition and have tried constantly reminding the office and Linda with no luck. I don't have until I can't walk to wait for a referral and will be looking for another doctor here. In summary, great doctor, terrible front desk and service and no since of urgency when referring patients out to other specialists.

So, it was nice to have a 5 minute drive to my appointment since this office is down the road from me. The receptionist here is so nice! The downtown location should take a couple lessons from the Eagle location. The receptionist smiled at me. She was kind asking me my general check in questions. She had personality. These basic skills are lacked in 90% of the people who work in registration downtown. If I can have all my appointments here, I would. I hung out in the waiting area till it was my turn. Zach, the imaging tech called me back to the scanning room. He went through the process of the scan with me and guided on how my properly lay on the scan machine. He had me position my legs differently for a couple scans. And before I knew it, I was done. It was quite an easy process which was nice. My other appointments require getting poked at. The Eagle office is night and day compared to Downtown. They are so nice here. It's a smaller facility with an Urgent Care unit which is nice for non emergency visits. It bums me out that I have to deal with the rude receptionists and security check in staff when I'm Downtown. But it was nice to see how the other half are treated at this location. I will have to get more appointments fulfilled here. I leave happy which is nice.

We were told "personal issues lately by her staff. She has changed and no longer spends time with her patients treating issues of medical and mind. Not anymore. You are limited to what you can discuss and don't get the same amount of time with her. She now comes into the room and says, "What are you here for?" No bedside manner...anymore. Additionally and most important: her office staff need to be replaced with competent staff. My family member suffered ongoing severe pain while more than one referral, at separate times, didn't get processed and ultimately lost. My family member was afraid to say anything because of the attitudes of the Dr. and staff. Her needs were only met after contacting the insurance company, the BBB and the medical board. Then they moved and had the referrals done in one day. We left immediately after that and located a wonderful doctor that truly cares. If Ms. Price-Miller is ill or going through a personal trial in her life, she should take an absence of leave to address those issues without is affecting her patient care. We DO NOT recommend this practice and urge you to find another practice in the Eagle are.

She became very defensive and stated, "I don't have to tell you half the shit I tell you. You'd pay $400 an hour for what I provide in 30 minutes" She then went into a rant about her office overhead and said, "Do you know what it takes to keep the lights on in this place?" She talked about seeing patients back-to-back and said, "I'm too old for this shit." She also told me that my case was complex and that she didn't have time to study it in detail. At one point she asked sarcastically, "Why don't you just go back to school and get your medical degree?" The purpose of my visit was to go over several new supplements that I am taking. When I asked her if she knew what astragulus was, she flew off the handle, saying, "You don't have to educate me about supplements. I've gone to school for years." I was in no way trying to insult or educate her, I was trying desperately to get help for my condition which includes Hoshimoto's adrenal fatigue and EBV (all exacerbated by stress) . I know that I am responsible for my health and that there is no doctor who will be able to spend the time required to get to the root of my health issues or to treat them. Cynthia's defensiveness was totally unwarranted. When I told her that I was shocked by her behavior, she told me that I had raised my voice about not having my liver tested. This is NOT true. I was very aware of the her defensiveness within minutes of sharing my blood work with her, and went out of my way to compliment her on her knowledge of supplements and her ability to think outside the box, in an attempt to diffuse her antagonism. I told her that the reason I was in her office was because I didn't know who else in the area has the knowledge that she does, and that I desperately needed her help. I added that I was resistant to having another appointment with her due to her misdiagnosis of thyroid nodules and her callus remark about how much she diagnoses thyroid cancer. I explained that this had terrified me AND caused me to get an expensive ultrasound. She responded by saying, "People hear what they want to hear." She also said, "You won't find another practitioner in po-dunk Idaho who knows more than I do." At one point toward the end of the appointment which she cut short, she said, "I'm an intuitive person too, and I don't think I want to work with you." She also said that she would not write me a prescription for a new medicine that would be ideal for my case and said, "You'll just have to find another practitioner to write your prescriptions." I responded by telling her that I do believe everything happens for a reason and that I would be looking for another provider. I then asked the receptionist for copies of all of my records. Her expression was one of concern, and I got the impression that this was not the first time a patient has made such a request. Perhaps Cynthia is just burned out. If that's the case, she needs to either take a long vacation or retire before she harms more of her patients.
