I was asked multiple times to send documents, which I promptly did, yet I never received any confirmation or follow-up. I was originally supposed to close on November 15th the date was push to November 21st. Two days before the 21st, I emailed Stacey asking if we were still on track to close. She told me no, they were still looking for an investor, but they were sure they would find one soon. She kept insisting everything would come together by the end of the month. I was even told to hold off on paying my mortgage and credit cards because the refinance was "definitely happening". Then everything collapsed. "Sorry Barbara, we still couldn't find an investor". Because of their incompetence, I an now out over $500 for an appraisal and facing late fees on my credit cards. I was repeatedly told that my high credit score would work in my favor, yet that clearly meant nothing. And here's the kicker: my interest rate was supposed to be a little over 5%, but suddenly it jumped to over 6% without a clear explanation. The loan terms kept changing, and nothing was consistent or transparent. And just when I though it couldn't get more insulting, Stacey ended the entire ordeal by emailing "I'm sorry, I will be praying for you" Thanks for the patronizing remark after putting me through weeks of stress and financial loss. Please, please, please do NOT work with this company. They are unprofessional, unreliable, misleading and cost me both money and peace of mind

I went with Jersey Mortgage to try to secure a mortgage on a condo that was a pain. Rich Noury was…read moremy broker, and he was very confident that he could secure a mortgage for me with lower rate quotes than other lenders. Long story short, they reviewed the financials and did the appraisal ($500) and eventually couldn't close. They issued a lot of "CYA" paperwork (e.g., 3-4 forms that say the exact same thing -- we will not refund you EVER) which makes me a little suspicious that a lot of people experience losing admin $$ when they can't close. This was really frustrating because essentially they over promised and under delivered. I also didn't think they were very on-top of communication after I decided to go with them. I had to asks for updates rather than them providing first and generally the level of customer service went down. So it wasn't quite a bait and switch, but that's what it FELT like. A few other online reviews that claim bait and switch should have been fair warning not to go with them. I actually had a bad feeling about them before I signed with them but decided in the end to give them a try since they were quoting me significantly lower rates -- FAIL. I understand some of this has to do with difficultly closing on the loan (hence the 2 star instead of a 1 star), but overall experience was still bad. I also just generally didn't like my broker's personality. He had this abrasiveness in his personality that just got worse as the situation became worse. He seems like one of those brokers that only have his own benefit (commission) in mind from the start, emphasizing that they don't get paid unless you close with them, making it seem like they don't want to do preliminary work for you to try to earn your business. The broker I'm working with now is the total opposite -- he will send you to another broker if you aren't getting the best deal from him and he's so knowledgeable and gives it to you straight. Go with Shawn Carson at Quontic Bank! He's amazing.
