Dan was awesome! He quickly responded to my email and I was able to check in the same day. I was passing through Kansas and wanted to stay close to Topeka and Millcreek was the best choice. The campground is convenient to the highway and only 25 minutes outside of Topeka. Great place to stay! They offer food, breakfast and pizzas for a reasonable price and they deliver it to your camper. Great wifi, friendly management and what makes it better is that it is pull through. It also has a pretty good space for kids to run around next to your camper. Overall is clean as well. Absolutely Fantastic!! We arrived late in the night and were SO tired, the host was gracious and extremely helpful. The location is Clean and Nice and the entrance area is decorated in such a rustic and charming way. The Local Antique Shops are well worth checking out. We were going to zip out early this morning, but decided to enjoy a comfortable stroll to "town" about 1/3 of a mile away!! The train tracks are right along side the park. We have had a few trains go by and even blow their horns. It is loud, but for me it adds to the charm of that place and "once upon a time" town of Pixton, KS. I would actually plan ahead to stay here on my way through again!! read more

WARNING! Trains blows horns next to park trains run 24/7. I was deceived by good the reviews. This place was not well kept, over grown grass/weeds, the picnic tables were so rotted you could not sit. Sometimes I wonder why individuals stop a a place that says trains and interstate travel close. I love the trains. So after a days travel in the covid-19 era, I need to stop for the night. Just took a chance as a sign on I 70 directed me to it. Paxcio Ks. Very small burg. Campground is along a creek, just the kind of ambience I like in a campground. Very rural like. NATURE. Gosh and after 3 days on the road eating sandwiches from your Rv and basically boondocking, I was hungry for a home cooked meal and they provided it. Delivered to door. $7.00. Baked Chicken on a bed of rice, a nice seasoned glaze, braised cabbage and bacon, yum and a peach kind of cake. Everything delicious. If I understood the owner rt. this there2nd yr and they endured flood last yr. So repairs and updates are in progress. Don't hesitate to stop I will hopefully come back and spend a longer time. read more

This place is beautiful but very isolated. The town of Paxico, KS is only a few antique stores (about 8 or 10), a post office and the camping! Not even a gas station, restaurant or convenience store!!!! Nothing!!!! It's s place to relax and see some antiques (this you can do in half a day!) Issues: train tracks very close. I counted 6 from 11:00pm to 7:00am!!! Also they close the bathrooms on winter as the pipes frozen. We let our RV there wile drove to CO as there were too much snow storms coming and decide to drive on our Jeep to the mountains. Was a good idea as we encountered a lot of snow packed roads! But even with this problems I think will worth stay here for one or two days It's nice to rest from a long trip (see pictures) read more

We have stayed here several times, they are transparent about the location on their website. The rail line goes straight through the property. That hasn't been an issue because we knew what we were getting into. This year we decided to stay in a cabin. I Do Not recommend. We woke up the next morning with visible bed bugs on our sheets and pillows. I alerted management and they did refund our money after I asked. So glad we saw them before taking our bedding home and infesting our house. My husband, daughter and I have numerous bites all over our arms and hands and I had a nasty reaction to them. Unfortunately, one of the grossest experiences I have had. read more

Stayed one night. Lovely campground in the middle of gorgeous farmland. Quaint and relaxing. Level sites, pull throughs, full hook ups with 50 amp available. Terrific owners. Train runs very close by. Some find it distracting, I found it soothing. read more

Absolutely lived experiencing this little town with a population of 220. Very grateful for the campground hosts hospitality too. Because of the annual 'meatloaf festival' ( last wkend in June), the campground was full ( I guess this is rare, but it was Friday night at 6:00 PM). The host was very gracious in offering a large grass area right next to the old train station on the property if we wanted to dry camp Yay!!! We were delighted - no neighbors and plenty of open space for our little pups to run after a long day on the road. This town is literally 4-5 antiques stores, a town hall, Post office, the campground and a bar, nothing else. No gas and no grocery. But it is charming!!! Now I must warn you that the tiny tow is on one side if the railroad tracks and the campground on the other side and it is with in feet, not a block or so but feet. When the first train went by, the trailer shook a little and my little dog jumped in my lap, conversation stopped and we ran outside to see this massive invention thunder by. What a sight to see and hear, especially while standing on the wooden platform of the old train depot. I counted 8 trains during the night and each time it woke me I smiled, knowing that I was experiencing this small town to the fullest. Aside from the central camp sight area there are also spacious sites along the creek for tents and small trailers. We loved our night, would highly recommend it if you truly want and adventure into Kansas life. read more

This is a convenient stop when traveling I-70 and it being an antique only stop is great. Major problem: Rest Rooms have not had a good cleaning in a very long time. Minor issue: roads and sites have puddles from heavy rain. Could benefit from Re-gravel and/or concrete patios. Makes you want to stay indoors. Price was $25 and that is ok if Rest rooms had been cleaned recently but the state park values made this value seem poor. read more

I stayed here one night. I called about 30 minutes from my arrival and the lady on the phone was super nice. She had plenty of spots for me and my travel trailer and truck for a full hook up. The place is clean and comfy. The town is absolutely adorable from the street, I stayed here on a Sunday so the place was empty. The trains going by were loud, yes, but really didn't hinder my experience. I paid a fair price and I enjoyed my stay. The campground has a creek running next to it, a hiking trail and some old town charm. Stay here, you won't be disappointed. read more

Stayed at this tucked in the trees campground on a recent trip to the Midwest. We arrived later in the evening and was pleased to find the office still open. The man staffing the office was pleasant as was his official campground greeter, the family dog. He thanked us for coming by and quickly registered us and gave a map to the spot for our nights camping. There were large trees, picnic tables, playground, fire-rings and a centrally located shower/restroom/laundry facility which was very clean. Being mid-September this RV park was not busy and we had one section all to ourselves. There are hook-ups for electricity, water and sewer and you may specify your needs. There are also small cabins and tents spaces for rent. Some people might find the nearby railroad track an annoyance, but I live near tracks at home, so I found this to be not a bother. The next day, we stopped at the office on our way out to inquire about local spots for breakfast and were advised that none were available, but the man advised of several possibilities for eating in Topeka, just 22 miles away. We thanked him for his hospitality and went on our way. I would definitely stay at this park again if the opportunity came about. read more
