Incredible selection, even better customer service!…read more After a long hunt for the perfect (faux) fur winter hat, I finally found it at Cuir Mont Royal, along with a pair of great convertible winter mittens. I was so excited to finally find both of the items I was looking for, especially when I found out the reasonably priced accessories were also on promo. I started wearing the hat every day in the coldest month of winter. So, when I dropped it in the metro station and couldn't find it again, I was really upset, especially because I knew I'd bought the last one in the store. But Cuir Mont Royal saved the day! I messaged them on Instagram, and, within an hour, they'd responded that they would do everything they could to get me the same hat. Just two days later, they reached out to tell me they'd found it for me, and that they were reserving it for whenever I could come into the store. They were so kind, helpful, and attentive! Truly the kind of customer service you only find in a local business like this one. On top of it all, their selection is unmatched. They have a vast but curated selection of high-quality, stylish products for all budgets. They even have a selection of unique gifts that celebrate the culture of Montréal. I cannot thank them enough for keeping me warm (and fashionable) through the winter. This place is an absolute must for all your winter gear!

I had a very disappointing experience with M0851…read more I ordered a bag (around $150) over 6 months ago through their website, which clearly serves both U.S. and Canadian customers. I live in the U.S., so I reasonably assumed the item would ship domestically or at least that any additional costs would be clearly disclosed upfront. Fast forward 6 months later--I suddenly receive a bill from FedEx for an additional $50 US in customs fees. This was never communicated at the time of purchase. Being charged unexpected fees half a year later is completely unacceptable. If M0851 is selling to U.S. customers, they should either: * Ship from within the U.S., or * Clearly warn customers about potential customs/duties before checkout Transparency is the bare minimum for an international brand. I reached out to customer service, and the experience only added to my frustration. Overall, this was a disappointing and poorly handled situation. I will not be purchasing from M0851 again.

No shipping, no tracking, no updates. And the worst part? THEY DON'T REPLY TO ANY EMAILS. Not one. I've also messaged them on Facebook and Instagram completely ignored. At this point I'm seriously wondering if this company is even still alive. Are you guys bankrupt? Closed down? Because you definitely behave like a company that's disappearing, you're not fulfilling orders, not answering customers, and closing your physical stores in Montreal. What else should people think?

We returned and store staff resolved the issue. Unfortunately, as the weather turned windy and cold, I decided to attach the beautiful hood - it keeps unsnapping and falling off. I recall that the sales associate, upon purchase, was having difficulty attaching the hood and as it was busy, said I would do it at home. Despite returning to the store and sending emails to the company and using the chat box....here I am, almost one month after purchase with no reply from customer service. The store continually refers me to customer service. I see that there is a totally different type of snap on the jacket my husband purchased - stronger - larger - and stays put. The Royalmount store admitted they are aware of this design flaw. :(

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience with RUDSAK…read more I purchased a smart jacket for around $700-$800, expecting premium quality and service. Unfortunately, after just one wear, I noticed a defect in the jacket. When I went to the store, I was told to contact the company directly since it was an online purchase. After sharing all required details with customer service, the only solution offered was to send the jacket back at my own expense for repair. For a product at this price point, this is unacceptable. A defective item after one use should be replaced or refunded, and at the very least, return shipping should be covered. This experience does not reflect the level of quality or customer service expected from a premium brand. Very disappointed with both the product and after-sales support.

Problem was that there were some tears along the shoulder seams and it needed to be repaired. I found out that Fourrures Ajamian does fur repair and I quickly came over to have it fixed. Jacqueline, graciously greeted me and gave me a very reasonable estimate for the repairs, turns out there were a few other weak points and she guessed that the coat had to be at least 60 years old and hence why the threads were breaking down. Got a call two weeks later, and it was ready for wearing again. She even did a bit of extra mending at no extra cost. From what I understand with Persian curly-wool lamb coats, if they are looked after properly, the coat can be good for another 100 years. I'm usually against fur. To be more specific, I'm against culling animals nowadays for additional fur coats. There is just no need for it given that there are many, many old fur coats and items which can easily be recycled and refurbished and worn again. I see no point in throwing out old fur coats for no good reason because at that point, then the animal really did die in vain. At least if you take an old fur and repair it and put it to good use, it would be for something. For example, when former First Lady Jackie Kennedy was put into a real leopard fur coat by designer Oleg Cassini (he did her famous pillbox outfits) she started a craze for leopard coats, given that she was a fashion icon at the time. By the end of the 1960s, more than 265 000 leopards had been killed for coats alone. The guilt of it never left Cassini and he switched over to working with fake furs from that point on. Then thankfully, the Endangered Species Act came into effect in 1973 and furs from animals like leopard, tiger, cheetah, snow leopard became illegal. Nowadays you cannot find a leopard fur coat for sale anywhere. However, you can be gifted one if there happens to be one in your family somewhere (but it can't cross international borders, it has to stay in the country). So if you need your old furs mended and fixed up and ready to go, come here, the service is great and the prices are reasonable.

Jacqueline was delightful, as was her brother, who, from what I understand, is the designer of their creations, and what creations !!!! Very tempting. The repairs exceeded my expectations and I found the cost very reasonable. I highly recommend Ajamian Furs.
