We are fully equipped to custom make you a set or set them to the Military standards. We also sell New and Used Military Surplus, Military TA50, Self-Defense Supplies, law enforcement, Novelty Items and So Much MORE!

History

Established in 1983.

The store opened its doors in 1983 as "The Outlet", in the downtown area selling mostly dollar store items. The store began adding military items in small doses. Before long, half of the store was military! It was like being in two stores at once. In the 90's the store was bought by the store owners' son. Over the next decade the store became more so dedicated to military gear & clothing, adding a sewing department for convince. During that time the owner decided that it was time for a change, and the store was renamed "Military Outlet". In August of 2013, the store had a horrific fire damaging the entire building. Thankfully, the store owner had a warehouse with old fixtures, a few sewing machines, and much of the surplus gear that is necessary for current day military service members! Within a few days of the fire the store was operational at its most recent location 1805 North Monroe Street. In April of 2023, we had the opportunity to move back downtown! Now at 722 N Washington St

Meet the Business Owner: Alex C.

Since October of 2011, I have been with the Military Outlet. This is definitely my favorite place to be! My main objective is to expedite our services and provide our customers with the items that are necessary as well as the fun things like knives and flashlights. My specialty is searching for those hard to find items and special orders. I have always been a huge advocate of our sewing department, the sky is the limit when it comes to repairs and customization!
