Are you MEICO, Inc., as your return address states, or are you Meico LLC as implied by the URL of your web site? Or "meico company" as spelled out without capital letters on your home page? As for the web site, below is the text on the home page. Nice. "Welcome to Meico LLC Ok, so here we are in the middle of the financial catastrophy of our lifetime. what are you going to do about it? Are you going to let the banks, government, and circumstances control you? ...Or will you take control of your outcome. The meico company is in the damage control business." Catastrophy? Based on his ad on Craigslist, we were renting a 5 bedrooms / 6 baths. fully furnished, 2.3 Millions Villa for $2500 per week. After 9 hours drive from Sacramento, the nightmare began. We arrived at the house that was an absolute Joke. It looked like someone was in the process of moving out: cloth in closets, filthy kitchen and bathrooms, empty rooms and animal hair everywhere. According to the owner, he was getting divorce and his wife has come in and cleared the house. We immediately realized that we had been taken for $2500. We asked the owner to finish moving out and get the house cleaned, but he refused and asked us to get it cleaned ourselves. We decided to stay in a hotel instead. It had been two months now and we still have not gotten our money back. He refuses to refund us the money. Be aware of this company.

As if that wasn't bad enough, the seller would not sign off on returning my $10,000 deposit so months later I have no home and no deposit yet. When I finally reached out to John, his own words were: "Unfortunately there were lots of things that went wrong on this transaction: The seller not disclosing the litigation on his Seller Questionnaire" Then when I confronted him and told him that he was the licensed real estate agent and the one who was being paid to understand these things, he responded by saying: "This is between you and the seller" Um actually, you're under contract representing the seller in this transaction! Apparently, John is only concerned with the transaction when it involves him getting paid and not interested in solving problems. Even after San Diego realtor John Stenberg told me to buzz off, I responded to him, telling him I would wait until he spoke with his seller before sharing my negative experience. He never even cared to respond. There a lot of great real estate agents in San Diego who will stick by you even when problems come up, I recommend trying to find one of them and staying away from John Stenberg and Intero Realty in San Diego.

Overall, we have been happy with the house. We closed on 3/15. Most screens were delivered on 4/4/24. Missing was the screen for the main sliding glass door and the tabs on the bathroom window screen were on the wrong side, so it could not be installed. On 4/27/24, someone came to measure for the missing slider screen (we were not notified ahead of time) and they fixed the tabs on the bathroom screen. The slider screen still has not been delivered. Messages from my agent have been ignored. I sent 2 emails to Renovate San Diego in June, no response. Yesterday, I used their contact form and Facebook messaged them (they did see this message). I will be happy to edit my review once the correct screen has been delivered. Thank you.
