They go over everything with you, you do not feel rushed for time, they take the time to explain any questions you have. I was never given any docs on paying off the existing property tax from the previous owner and now have a $300 delinquent penalty. Because I hadn't really decided to sell at that point six months ago, I was as clear as possible that this might be a waste of his time, but he good-naturedly shrugged that off as "just part of the job." There was never any pressure at all as he sent us information about comparable sales, just helpful, friendly support in case we did decide to sell. When I eventuallly decided to sell, Cleve convinced me to spend some money to update the flooring, paint, etc. Because there are no guarantees that making the investment would really help to sell, and because I live too far away from La Mesa to personally supervise and inspect the work, I was reluctant at first. Well, following his expert advice is one of the best moves I ever made. He handled everything, including arranging for the contractor (the outstanding Derrick Thomas) and clean-up. I would have been happy closing at the number we had in mind originally, but Cleve convinced me to list at a higher range due to the upgrades. We did, and the condo sold during an open house before it could be listed on the MLS--at more than 10% above the number I expected. There is a lot of paperwork, but Cleve got us through it with a minimum of fuss. I would work with him again in a heartbeat.

Tonya seemed nice at first but we quickly realized they did not have our best interest and was not well educated in the laws regarding their job and how to deal with tenants. They illegally raised our rent above the legal 10% per year because she said "they can raise it however much they want"- not true! When we confronted them, after some back and forth and us having to get a lawyer, they realized they made a mistake and had to lower the rate. Then they tried to illegally take as much of our security deposit when we moved out. After she did an inspection, Tonya said we should be getting all our deposit back. Our deposit was $1700 and they attempted to give back only $6!! After we left the place cleaner than we got it! We had pictures to prove it. They wanted to charge for things that were not agreed to in the lease. And we saw the forwarded conversations she had with the owner of the building (she did not intend to send to us), they were so unprofessional, talking about us and saying we were making such a big fuss about things, so they gave us $100 so we wouldn't make a big deal about it, saying we owed them money- not true!! We were great tenants- communicative, always paid rent on time, left things clean, nice, quiet. Unlike the squatters that lived upstairs for a year and the other squatters breaking into the other unit. We ended up getting our entire deposit back because Tonya forgot that they had to give our security deposit back to us within 21 days- their mistake, again!! They don't take accountability for their mistakes. Very unprofessional. It's so sad to see companies like this trying to take advantage of people. Know your rights as a tenant. They also never dealt with the cockroach issues and other issues in the building and moved a new tenant into one of the units that was being broken into regularly, without telling the new tenant! I think this company eventually left or got fired because we heard from a resident that they were no longer working for the owner shortly after we left. It was the worse experience we've ever had with a landlord/realty company.

They were awesome from start to finish. Tuba helped with the condo sale with incredibly valuable staging advice that helped us get a very good offer, above our asking price, on our condo. It took a week to stage and a weekend to sell. Every contingency was released early. Every detail went off perfectly. They helped us look at many places, before we chose and bought our house. They set alerts for the exact neighborhood, school district and dimensions we wanted. We were always first to look, when anything hit the market, because they were so on top of the new MLS listings and communication. The market was very tight. This rapid response was a huge advantage to us. Sinan was so funny and helpful. He's awesome to look at new properties with, because he'll have you cracking up with his stories and observations, as you drive and look around. Whenever my husband and I had any tension or disagreement with each other about our priorities, Sinan's humor was there to save the day and keep us on track toward our common vision. It's almost like having a couple's therapist on hand to work with them, because as a couple themselves, they seem to get the ins and outs of marital negotiations. ;) Tuba was very thorough and knowledgeable about all of the paperwork and stayed on top of a fairly complicated sale, that had four owner/sellers, who didn't get along, and kept stalling on responses to spite one another. Their agent wasn't as knowledgeable or good at getting them to cooperate, so the sale could go through within the required timeline. It could've gone south numerous times, because of the sellers' issues with each other, but Tuba kept pushing things along, like a champ. She caught every missing date and document the sellers threw at us, and made sure everything went exactly on schedule and by the book. Rely Realty found a very thorough inspector who helped save us time and money in escrow by catching problems with the house that got us money back from the sellers at closing. They recommended a very smart and helpful loan officer and made sure we were preapproved, knew our exact budget in a number of possible scenarios. We were ready to roll within days, and before we saw properties or listed our own home. Tuba and Sinan were also helpful and knowledgeable about excellent and affordable contractors and vendors to assist in our remodel of our new home. We wanted to buy a fixer and make it totally our own. We saved a bundle of money by working with Rely Realty to find and finish our dream home. They got those tricky sellers to allow us to bring in vendors to the home, before closing, so our plan of action and materials were all completely in place the minute we closed. We finished our remodel on time and in budget. It was like a construction miracle. If you're looking for a realty company that is a one stop shop to connect all those intimidating real estate dots, Tuba and Sinan at Rely Realty are the best! Call them! You'll have fun and get the home you dream about.
