Metal roofing, pole building kits, pressure treated wood and many other large scale building supplies that you would need I'm sure for a large and small scale project. When this was ordered it was ready when promised and when we arrived they loaded it with there forklift and it was quick and easy. I'm sure we will be using them for our own building needs as this is the go to place for so many needs.

If you want someone to provide finish carpentry material such as doors, trim, base, closet shelving…read more, etc. please... save yourself a lot of trouble and do not purchase from Builders First Source. Do not do business with them. I have built over 60 homes and hung doors in over 200 homes over 35 years and the material and service from this company is the absolute worst I have ever seen. In our current house we asked for a walk through before ordering....they wouldn't do a walk through unless we had paid. No one does that. As a result nearly half the doors were wrong. And, all the doors were fit too tight next to the door stop. While they barely fit before paint, after paint none....I mean none of the doors would close. All the stop material had to be pulled off and then had to be re-caulked and painted. Then, they sent out a 9' double entry door. They refused to come out and drill out for the slide bolts....which they installed! We're still waiting for them to come out ( they told us they would come out 10 days ago!). And, on another interior double door they built and delivered had no t-astrical and the slide bolts were about the cheapest bolts you could find! Lastly, on an interior (inside the garage) door that housed the hot water unit, they charged and sent out a wood, solid core, double bore door and charged the owner $500!!! It should have been a $200 3-0 steel with just a single bore. We complained and they did nothing! They don't watch out for their customers nor do they care about their service. Builders Source is the worst finish wood company in all of Kalispell. We guarantee you that you will have terrible service and poor workmanship regardless of the type of project you are building. In our case, we're building a 1.4 million home but that didn't matter to this company as they provided simply the cheapest material and worst customer service. At all costs, please avoid this company !!! In our opinion, they are an embarrassment to our community and our trade. I am now hearing stories from other contractors who had similar issues.

When talking to their "concrete manager" in Kalispell, I apparently said "kicked up" instead of Fell off when describing the incident. The guy was a complete jerk. He basically accused me of lying to try to cheat his company. Guys needs to go back to his Mom and ask her how grown ups should treat one another. I ran one of the larges businesses in the state for 34 years and I can assure you that this is not the way you treat customers. I'm well known, and respected in the valley and I will get my pound of flesh.

I went to several interviews which cost has and tine, went thru vigourous pre medical exam plus it's humiliating what They ask new per employees to do in that. Plus a drug test. After passing everything, the superintendent called me and said They would only pay 23hr till after 90 days of something, then small increments to the original stated in ad 28.63 hr. This is false advertising and bait and switch if I ever saw it brfore. Total jerk corporate company !! Also last year They have had several employees killed on local state projects , which obviously safety is not their priority , as they claim. Huge red flaggs!!!! I declined my opportunity to work for them...so glad I did. Now I'm working for a real, safe, legit, good work surrounding paving company.

This time we decided to give Valley Fence a call since their ad showed up on my Facebook feed and see how they compared in price. I first reached out on 4/9 and Cooper responded via text and set up a site visit for 4/17. Upon walking the job he said we'd had his proposal on 4/20. Today is 4/22 and I have called, texted and emailed to get an update and received no response. I went to Google to see if there was a different phone number to call, there was not, but I did see the 2 star review written by Christina 2 months ago and the headaches they experienced with a lack of follow up and communication. On the other hand, Jakob from Montana Fence came out to see our new project on 4/20 and the very next morning I had the proposal from them (as promised!)! After reading Christina's review, experiencing 2-3 days with no return call, email or text; I attempted to go to the Valley Fence website and discovered the website is no longer valid (invalid website error received on both my laptop and iPhone). I spent over 20 years working in the commercial/industrial service HVAC industry; customer service and follow up is essential to doing business!!! I was paid to babysit contractors then....I'm now retired and have no desire to chase down a contractor who can't even deliver a proposal as promised....I'd hate to think what a PITA it's going to be dealing with Valley Fence after they have our 50% down payment and no one returns calls! It takes less than 2 seconds to respond to a text or email and state you need more time to send a proposal....but apparently they can't even handle that.
